MOTION FOR POSTPONEMENT
The undersigned counsel, unto this Honorable Court most respectfully avers that
1. This case is presently being handled by Atty. Maryann C.C. Gutierrez-Kho, who is the
resident Public Attorney of this Honorable Court;
2. Due to the nature of the case however, and for reasons of gender sensitivity, Atty.
Gutierrez-Kho will be replaced by the undersigned Atty. Rommel Jan T. Mirasol, who
will be the new lawyer assigned to the present case;
3. The undersigned is also the resident Public Attorney of Branch 35 and Branch 37 which
holds hearings during Mondays and Tuesdays;
4. The Pre-Trial of this case is scheduled at 8:30 oclock in the morning of May 12, 2014
which is a Monday. Incidentally, the undersigned already has a previously set hearing at
RTC Branch 35 for the case of People vs. Tuala,on the said time and date;
5. There would thus be a need for the undersigned to respectfully ask for the resetting of the
Pre-Trial scheduled on May 12, 2014, to another date convenient to the calendar of the
court, most preferably a Wednesday;
6. This postponement is asked solely for the above stated purposes and is not intended to
delay the proceedings of this case;
WHEREFORE, in view of the foregoing, the undersigned counsel most respectfully
prays that the Honorable Court issue an order resetting the Pre-Trial scheduled on May 12 , 2014
to another date convenient to the calendar of the court, most preferably a Wednesday;
