(PUI) is Ontarios largest and most progressive

municipally owned renewable energy generation companies. With a mixed
portfolio of generation assets they produce electricity through hydroelectric,
solar and bio gas facilities.
Currently they are looking to add a Project Manager to develop and construct a
pipeline of ground mount and rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) FIT projects in the greater
Peterborough area. PUI develops, owns and operates their solar-photovoltaic
energy facilities.
The role of Project Manager reports directly into the Director of Project and Risk
Management. This PM role will be part a key part of the renewable energy development
team that will lead and continuously grow the companys renewable energy portfolio. It
will include solar PV site and project planning, working with consultants to review and
prepare engineering design packages; construction contracts; and managing the project
execution schedule and budgets to achieve forecasted project financial returns. This

Responsibilities

Deliver quality rooftop and ground-mount solar PV generation projects with a

twenty plus year project lifespan
Manage projects from the early development phase through to completion,
including new project business development, project due diligence and business
case preparation
Manage solar PV project delivery strategies and resources, including; internal or
outsourced engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) service providers
as required to design, permit, install and commission solar PV systems. Solar PV
electrical, mechanical and structural expertise preferred
Manage all project related contracts and agreements involving site leases, OPA,
ESA, HONI, MOE, EPC and others
Support project development function by continuously adding new project
opportunities to the project development funnel;
Meet project delivery commitments on schedule, budget and performance
commitments

Support timely project delivery with a seamless transition or hand-off to

Operations Management post commissioning
Develop preferred design and equipment selection strategies

Qualifications

Undergraduate electrical engineering degree with professional designation

(P.Eng.) and/or post graduate experience is preferred
5 years of renewable energy project management experience in solar PV
technology is preferred
Previous solar PV experience with AutoCAD (site layouts), PVSyst (production
modelling) or equivalent would be an asset
Delivery of rooftop and/or ground mount solar PV projects from early stage
development through to commissioning is preferred
