April 22, 2015 Update

Baltimore Police Department update in the investigation into the death of Mr.
Freddie Gray.
All of the involved officers remain suspended with pay. Investigators have met
with the involved officers. Five of six officers provided a statement to
investigators. Each of the five statements is stored electronically.
The investigation, as it stands, will be turned over to the States Attorneys
Office for review on May 1, 2015. As with any criminal investigation, detectives
will continue to pursue the evidence wherever it leads, for as long as it takes.
The second person who was inside the prisoner transport wagon with Mr.
Freddie Gray is a witness in a criminal investigation. His name will not be
released to protect the integrity of the investigation.
The release of personnel records and employee photographs is prohibited by
law.
The surveillance video from Gilmor Homes has been uploaded to social media (
@baltimorepolice ).
Detectives continue to gather information including witness statements and
CCTV video from the vast majority of the Western and Central Police Districts.
That video continues to be reviewed for evidentiary value.
