Section 01: Hardware Configure of LT110Eur

1.2.

Set the DIP Switch settings as you required. Please contact if you need
any help.

BeforeMountingontheconductor:

Aftermounting(andEnergizedtheLine):

When Reset Indicator Yellow LED will blink for 3


minute.
IndicatorsGreenLEDwillBlinkforfewminute.

DependsontheFaultcurrent,Loadcurrentatday
time,nighttime.UsuallywesetforDi/Dtandnot
thethresholdbecauseithashighersensitivitythan
selectingThresholdtodetectfault.

Selecting Threshold was used before the Di/Dt


detecting technique available. Hence its
recommendedtouseDi/DtoverThreshold.

Usually we select Voltage. If the pole has a


anotherline(maybeLVline)connectedbelow,its
recommendedtoselectCurrentastheStart/Stop
criteriatoavoidinducedvoltagescausingerrors.
Select minimum so the Indicator battery will last
long.Usuallyiftheschedulingofrepairstaketime
itsbettertoselectlargertimeasTimerReset.

E.g.: During night if fault occurs and there is no


way to attend to the repair, it will keep on
displaying error until crew goes there. But it will
drainthebatteryfast.
EnableResetonreturnofVoltage/Currentreturn
dependingontheDip4setting.

Select Remote Programming enabled. So we can


program through the Collector without removing
fromtheIndicatorsfromtheline.

Power up the CmT 333ICU by connecting the battery.

1.4.

Test if the 3/6/9 indicators work before mounting.

Beforefixingthemonthepolecheckthedevicescommunicationandthetestwearegoingtocarryout
oncethedevicesinstalledinthefield.(RefertestproceduresmentionedunderpointE)

1.5.

Mount the Devices (Keep them ON when you connect, no need of


disconnecting them.

ItsrecommendedtouseafirmConnectingRod,butitseasytodeenergizethelineandmountthem
manuallybyhand.Alsothereisapossibilityofdevicefallingwhenyoutrytomountitusingoperating
Rod.

1.6.

Test the devices again from the Control Box fixed below the pole.

YoucandothisonceallindicatorsaremountedontheLinefromthebelowControlBox.

1.7.

Once the set up is set, do the following on the 115Collector

a. SettheSameDipSwitchSettingasinthefaultIndicator.OnlyDip8mustbekeptatOFF.
b. ResettheCollectorfromtheResetCollectorButton.
c. ResetRemoteButtonhas3functions.

YoucanexecuteFunction1: PresstheResetRemotebuttonfor0.5s2s

YoucanexecuteFunction2: PresstheResetRemotebuttonfor2s4s

YoucanexecuteFunction3: Press the Reset Remote button for more than 4s. We can upload new
settings without changing the dip setting of the Indicators if their
(Indicators)Dip8isatON.

1.8.

Indicators will respond as follows:

Indication
a) The yellow and green LED (on the
indicators)willflashsimultaneously.
b) The yellow and green LED (on the
indicators)willflashalternating.
Pointa)andb)willbeindicatedfor9seconds.
c) ThegreenLEDontheindicatorwillflash.
d) The indicator the yellow LED on the
indicatorwillflash.
Pointc)andd)willbeindicatedfor3minutes.

Conclusion
We can conclude that fault indicator DIP8 is OFF,
theindicatorcannotberemotelyprogrammed.
We can conclude that fault indicator DIP8 is ON,
theindicatorisreadyforremoteprogramming.
Lineisenergized
Lineisdeenergized.Thisiswhatshownwhenwe
resetthedevicesbeforemounting.

1.9.

Battery used

KBB 11 battery for the conductor mounted unit. It


shouldnotbereplacedwithKBB20.

Section 02: Software Configuration of LT110Eur

2.1. Add GSM devices.


RightClickontheGSMdevices>Addnode>followmanual.

2.2. Set the following Settings.

Note: when giving phone numbers always use +94 instead of 0. Now you can test the devices
throughNetTroll.Asthefirststepwewilladdallthemounteddevicestothesystem.Onceitisdonewe
canaddthemintherespectivelocationintheSingleLineDiagramforVisualindication.

2.3. Adding of FPI in the NetDraw System


1. Draw 3 bmp with size 21 by 21 pixels and save them in the Bitmap folder in the installation
directory.
2. Renameas
a. FPIAA000.bmpNormalStatus
b. FPIAA001.bmpAlarmStatus
c. FPIAA255.bmpUnknownStatus

7. PressRightClickwhilepressingCtrlandShiftandRightClicktoaddtheICUDigitalInputtothe
symbolsintheNetDraw.

2.5. Changing the Input Names

Note1:Ifdoingforaparticulardeviceforthefirsttime,thenselectThisdevicetype.
Note2:Onceonedevicesdigitalinputsarecorrectlyconfiguredyoucouldcopytheinputnamingand
alarmsettingbyselectingAnotherdeviceandselectthedeviceyouwanttocopysettingfrom.BUT

Section 03: SIM Criteria

1. Tofindthetypeofsubscriptionthatismosteconomicandsuitableforyoursystem,please
contactyourlocalnetworkserviceprovider.
2. Wedonotrecommendusingprepaidsubscriptions.
3. Voiceservicesshouldnotbeavailable.
4. GSMdata(CSD)enabledandSMS.
5. CLIP(CallerID)mustbeenabled.
6. AllPINcodesmustbedeactivatedbeforeinstallation.SomeserviceprovidersofferSIMcards
wherethePINcodesaredeactivatedwhenyoureceivethem.

HowtoDeactivatethePIN;
IftheSIMcardhasthePINcodeactive,itmustbedeactivatede.g.byinsertingitinamobile
phonefirst.
ThebatteriesshouldbedisconnectedbeforetheSIMcardisinserted.
Wesuggestthatalabelmaybeattachedonthebracketwherethetelephonenumberisvisible
fromtheoutside.
IfaGLMisprogrammedwithoutusingthecountrycode,andtheGSMnetworkaddthecountry
code,Nettrollwillnotrecognizethemessage.Therefore,countrycodeshouldalwaysbeused
whenprogrammingGSMunitsinNetTroll.

Installation of NetTroll in Windows 7 machines

YoucannotruntheLNSona64bitplatform.Youneed32bitinordertomakethePCLTAcardwork.
Echelonhasunfortunatelynotcomeupwithsupportfor64bitoperatingsystem.
DonotinstalltheNetTrollprograminthedefaultcatalog(c:\programfiles\....)asthiswillmakechanges
difficult.
TherearesomerestrictionsinaccessontheProgramFilescatalogs.InstallNetTrollinc:\Nortroll\....
instead.

Theordershouldbeasfollows:

1:InstallthedriverforthePCLTAcardbeforeinstallingthecardphysicallyinthecomputer.
2:SwitchPCOFFandinstallthecard.
3:PowerthePCup.Itshouldnowdetectthecardandstartinstallingit.Thiscantakeseveralminuteso
pleasebepatient.
4:RestartthePCwhenthedriver/cardisproperlyinstalled.
5:InstalltheLNS(YoucanusethedefaultcatalogsfortheLNS
6:RestartthePC

PleasemakeabackupoftheolddatabasebeforeyouscraptheoldPC.Thiscanbeimportedintothe
newPCassoonasNetTrollrunsagain.

Section 04: Installing LT3100 fault indicator

4.1

Default Settings
Itisnotnecessarytosetupanythingexceptforthereceivingtelephonenumber. Changingthedefaultsettingsand
programmingthereceivertelephonenumberaredoneduringinstallationinNetTroll.Alternatively,amobilephone
canbeusedtomanuallysendtheconfigurationsettingsinSMSmessages.
