Cost Analysis

1. You can do your analysis according to your labour, material, plant and etc costs.
However, you need to set up your R2 code table and applied the code into your built
up rates or rate breakup sheet.
2. To set up a R2 code table; go to job summary level, click on File and select View
R2 Code File.

3. You will see the following table come out, if not you click open. To create a new
code file, type in the new code file name and click Open.

4. You will see the following table come out. You can key in the items that you want to
analysis under the description column. Then you need to key in the code to
representing it. You can key in the code up to 6 characters (must not have the same
code for each item). After that, click on Close icon.

5. If you already built up your standard rates inside the Price List (library), go to your
rate breakup sheet and go to select Screen Columns.
Click on this icon

6. You will see the following screen and tick on Group R2. Then you will see the
Group R2 column come out.

7. Double click the cell under group R2 which is beside the item and you will see the
code table come out and double click the code that relative to that item. Otherwise, if
you remember the code, you can directly key in the code.

8. Then you will see the code appear beside the item.

9. Exit the price list, and open the job that is link to that price list. Go to the Trade
Breakup Level, click on the items rate cell, which you want to transfer the rate from
your price list and click on Quick Copy from a Price List.

10. You will see your price list come out and go to select the rate that you want to transfer
to

11. Click on the related item and make sure you tick on the Transfer Rate Breakups,
then click on Transfer Current Rate.

12. You will see the rate had transfer to your job.

13. Double click the rate cell; you will see the rate breakups. If you want to see the R2
code, you can go to Select Screen Columns and tick on Group R2.

14. Repeat the step 10 to 12 for the others item pricing.


15. After you had done your pricing for all items, close the job.

16. At the Job Manager screen, make sure highlight the job, click on R2 Analysis.

17. You will see the following screen, type in the new job name and click OK.

20. You can see the detail by going to next level. You will see the item description and
with the individual rate (not composite rate).

21. You can print out the report by going to Print menu at the job summary level or
trade breakup level.

22. If you want to print out in BoQ format, when you click on BOQ menu at job
summary level, you will see all the sub menus are grayed out and you could not
select.

23. So, you close the job and go to Job Manager screen,

job, go to Defaults menu and select Reset Job BOQ

24. Open the job again and you should be able to print out in BOQ format.
25. If you are not built up your rates in your price list, you can straight away do your
build up rates inside the job and apply the code under the rate breakup sheets such as
the steps 5 to 8.
