Applications are invited in the prescribed format from Indian citizens for recruitment
in ICF against Scouts & Guides Quota and Cultural Quota satisfying the eligibility criteria as

2. Age Limits
Age as on 01/01/2015 should be
For Posts in Grade Pay Rs. 1900 in Pay Band Rs. 5200-20200
- UR->18-30; OBC->18-33; SC/ST->18-35 years.
For Posts in Grade Pay Rs. 1800 in Pay Band Rs. 5200-20200
- UR->18-33; OBC->18-36; SC/ST->18-38 years.
Persons with disabilities (PH) are eligible for 10 year age relaxation.
3. Scouts Norms:
(a)
Candidates should be a President's Scout/Guide/Ranger/Rover
(OR)
Himalayan Wood Badge Holder
(OR)
A Pre-HWB trained Scout Leader / Advanced Trained Guide / Leader/ Captain
(b)
Should have been an active member of a Scouts organization for at least 3 (Three)
years in the recent past and should continue to be active;
(c)
Should have attended at least one event at National level and one or two events at
State level;
(OR)
Should have a good record on participation in Scouts/Guides activities at
Unit/District level; (A certified copy of the list of events attended to be attached)
4. Cultural Norms:
a) Possession of degree/diploma in music/dance/drama etc. from Govt. recognized
institute.
b) Experience in the field and performance given on AIR/Doordarshan etc and prizes
won at National level are desirable.

5. Educational Qualifications:
For Posts in Grade Pay Rs. 1900/- in Pay Band Rs. 5200-20200
Technician: ITI/Act Apprenticeship in Fitter, Welder, Painter, Electrician, Carpenter
trades.
Junior Clerk: Matriculation or its equivalent with 50% aggregate (mere pass is sufficient for
SC/ST).
Those persons selected as Junior Clerk are required to possess proficiency in
Typewriting of 30 WPM in English or 25 WPM in Hindi within a period of
TWO years from the date of appointment and their appointment will be
provisional subject to acquisition of the prescribed typing qualification within
the stipulated period.
For Posts in Grade Pay Rs. 1800 in Pay Band Rs. 5200-20200
Matriculation or its equivalent.
6. Fees
Fees of Rs.100/- must be paid through crossed Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of
Asst.Personnel Officer/G payable at Chennai. SC/ST/PH/Women candidates are exempted
from paying examination fee.
7. Mode of Selection
Scouts & Guides
The selection process will consist of written test and Personality test/interview. For the
written test, questions will be of objective type relating to Scouts & Guides Organization
and its activities as per syllabus. Distribution of marks will be as under:

Cultural Quota
The selection process will consist of a) written test, which will be of objective type questions
on General Knowledge and b) practical demonstration in the relevant Cultural field. The

8. Medical Examination
The selected candidates will have to be medically found fit for appointment to the selected
categories as specified in the Indian Railway Medical Manual.

11. Training
In case, the candidates are found suitable and are appointed in the Railways they have to
undergo training for the period prescribed for the particular post in which they will be
offered appointment, in case training is necessary for the particular post.
