many well-known, online data-
bases such as: Ebsco, Gale,
Encyclopaedia Britannica, &
Facts-on-File? Are you also
aware that our VAPA Library’s
website

direct links to these resources?

believe that by instructing our
students in the use of databases
that we are equipping them
with information literacy skills
that will become necessary to
thrive in one’s future academic
and professional life. If you

E-Books
The library currently has over
250 reference/encyclopedic
titles in an e-Book format.
In essence, you can think of
an e-Book as an electronic
copy of the actual book. A
book that is available (in its
entirety) to be read online
and can be accessible on any
computer that has an Internet
connection.
All teachers are encouraged to
promote the use of good in-
formation literacy skills in
doing research by directing
our students to the library’s e
-Book collection. It is impor-
tant for our students to leave
CLAHS #9 with the knowl-
edge that there are informa-
tion resources available that
go beyond Wikipedia and
random websites. As a
source, e-Books are well-
written, authoritative, and
accurate.
