Question 2: Scenario Analysis.

VietAbroader Study Abroad Conference is going to expand to more provinces and cities in order to
inspire and provide study abroad information to the largest amount of students and parents in
Vietnam. We are considering 10 cities: Hanoi, Hai Phong, Vinh, Hue, Da Nang, Quy Nhon, Nha
Trang, Ho Chi Minh City, Vung Tau and Can Tho. While in Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City,
the events will last one day, in other cities, the event will last only in the morning. Members of
organizing team live in either Hanoi, Da Nang, or Ho Chi Minh city only, but they are willing to
travel anywhere in a group of at least 5 people or more. Furthermore, all events have to be organized
in July 2015; there is no more than one event in each city. You could assume that content and list of
participants of every event are given or estimated with high accuracy.
(1) List all possible constraints facing the organizing team in scheduling all events, as specific as
possible. Prioritize constraints, and explain these priorities.
(2) List all possible specific objectives in scheduling all events, as specific as possible. Prioritize
objectives, and explain these priorities. Make sure all objectives could be measured.
(3) Propose the minimum amount of money needed to fulfil constraints and achieve the desirable
objectives.
(4) Change the priority of two constraints OR two objectives as listed in part (1) and (2). Will the
minimum amount of money be lower or higher or the same?
