Position Description
Full-time Lecturer
Center for Educational Effectiveness and Evaluation
Effective Date: August 17, 2015 (Fall 2015 semester); Possible Summer 2015 partial employment.
Salary Range: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Minimum Qualifications:
Earned doctorate (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in education or related field (e.g., Psychology, Sociology). or
official notification of completion of the doctoral degree by August 1, 2015.
Experience teaching graduate-level statistics and quantitative methods.
Experience conducting research and/or program evaluation studies using quantitative methods.
Commitment to and/or expertise in educating a diverse student population.
Sophisticated knowledge of quantitative research methods, including advanced inferential
statistical techniques, survey design, and use of advanced statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS,
SAS, STATA).
Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, clients, and others to achieve shared goals.
Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with trends, issues, and practices across the PK20 educational spectrum.
Ability to use online survey tools.
Experience teaching graduate-level statistics and quantitative methods as instructor of record.
Program evaluation experience, ideally in multiple educational environments (i.e., higher
education, PK 12, non-profit).
Experience supervising the work of others on research or program evaluation projects.

Duties
Teach graduate-level courses in quantitative research methodology, including inferential statistics
and advanced analytic techniques.
Consult with and provide support for masters and doctoral level students regarding advanced
quantitative research designs, methodology, and analytic strategies.
Manage the day-to-day operations of an evaluation and program improvement center within the
College of Education. Duties in this capacity include:
Under the supervision of the center director, manage the implementation of program
evaluations in higher education, PK12, and non-profits organizations.
Consult with the center director on the development of program evaluation plans and
statements of work for clients and potential clients.

Conduct or supervise the practice of advanced statistical analysis for program evaluations
and research projects.
Supervise the work of graduate and undergraduate student assistants on evaluation,
program improvement, and research projects.
Lead and/or collaborate in drafting center deliverables, including interview/focus group
protocols, survey instruments, and project/evaluation reports.
Collaborate with other members of the center, and units within the College of Education
and across campus to support program evaluation and research activities.
Participate in providing professional development for members of the center as well as
student staff on a regular basis.
Develop and nurture relations with center clients and members.
