ELECTRONIC FLIGHT INSTRUMENT SYSTEM (EFIS)

The Astronautics 6 x 8 Electronic Flight Instrument System (EFIS)

is an integrated glass cockpit certified for use airborne applications.
The EFIS provides functions of Primary Flight and Navigation with
several functional overlays. Designed around an Active Matrix
Liquid Crystal Display (AMLCD), these displays are capable of
receiving and processing data from RNAV/FMS/GPS (ARINC429/702), Autopilot/Flight Director and TCAS Systems, navigation,
radios (VOR, DME, ADF), Color Weather Radar (ARINC-453 or
video) and Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System. The EFIS
also has cross-talk interface capabilities, as well as optional video
and Engine Instrument and Crew Alert (EICAS) interfaces. The
EFIS consists of 4-6 EFIS displays and 2 display controllers. Fully
digital and analog/synchro interface configurations available.
