Prerequisites

I&C Activites
1 Site Readiness from Implementation Prospective as per Survey Report.
2 Has Vodafone delivered the equipment as Per BOM in Survery Report ?
3 Receive the material on site (AP ,Cables ,conduits etc ) from Vodafone.
4 Install the AP as per the survey report & do the cable routing from the AP to the DSL

Test Case Description

Result

1.0 Verification of network components installation and its integration

Process to test: Need to verify that Access Points are installed in appropriate locations as
per site survey. Ensure that Access Points are registered in the controller and
broadcasting all the SSIDs
1.1 Is AP installed in the expected location?
1.2 Is AP registered in the controller?
1.3 Is AP broadcasting all the SSID as expected?
2.0 SSID connectivity testing
Process to test: Try to associate laptop/mobile devices with SSID and get the following
information:

2.1 Are laptop/mobile devices getting IP address from appopriate VLAN as defined in the SSID?

2.2 Are you able to access Internet after authentication?

3.0 Walk & Browsing Test
3.1 Process to test: Using Vodafone web utility Browsing will be done within line of site of
AP at 3 different locations.
3.2 Are you getting internet connectivity in test locations
3.3 www.Speedtest.net result = Mb

4.0 Ping the gateway & take the screen shots.

5.0 Take the sign off from the customer after testing.
6.0 Basic training on functionality of AP to be provided to Hotspot owner

Monitoring

Procedure

1. Monitor the elements (AP, WLC, Clients, WGB, )

2. Monitor the RF (AP Rf parameters like Channel, SNR,

Interference).
3. Monitor the clients (IP, User credentials, Link status,

802.11n standard supported in WLC

Procedure

1. Configure Access point for 802.11n operation.

2. Connect a client on a secure SSID with WPA2-PSK.

3. Check the total throughput from the client in 20Mhz as
well as 40Mhz operation.
