Montage
Description: Create a spiritual poster montage
using images and type.
Class: Comm 130-03
Date: Febuary 14, 2015
Objectives:
-Unify the layout with a theme
-Learn Photoshop
-Masking
-Blending
Process: In an everchanging world, I wanted to
create a design that would stand out with its
vibrant color and message to tell the world that
our Savior created the earth and everything that
is on it. Inserted my images where I wanted them
and then masked them and blended them so that
the edges were not defined. Then I ajusted the
wlayers to make the colors stand out.

Brochure
Description: Design a full color, folding brochure to promote the business.
Class: Comm 130-03
Date: March 28, 2015
Objectives:
-Create a new logo
-Design a two sided, folded brochure
-Remove backgrounds on images using
Photoshop.
Process: I created this whole brochure on
Illustrator. I was able to use Photoshop to
remove the backgrounds of my images and
lay out the brochure so that I could fold it
exactly how I wanted it.

Description: Design three different logos for a
company

Date: Febuary 20, 2015
Objectives:
-Design three completely different logos
for the same company
-Learn to use the pen tool in Illustrator
-Learn to creat shapes
Process: I created this whole project in
Illustrator. I mainly used the pen tool to
create the logos.

Business Card
Description: Design an original business card
using a newly created logo for a company.
Class: Comm 130-03
Date: Febuary, 28, 2015
Objectives:
-Use basic tools in Illustrator and
InDesign.
-Create a new logo in Illustrator
-Learn to use shapes to create designs and
images.
Process: I created the logo in Illustrator using
different shapes. I did not use the pen tool at
all. I then created the layout of the card in
InDesign.

Letterhead
Description: Design an letterhead for a company in
InDesign
Class: Comm 130-03
Date: Febuary, 28, 2015
Objectives:
-Use basic tools in Illustrator and InDesign.
-Create a new logo in Illustrator
-Learn to use shapes to create designs and images.
Process: I created the logo in Illustrator using different
shapes. I did not use the pen tool at all. I then created
the layout of the letterhead in InDesign.

Flier

Description: Create an event flier in InDesign

Objectives:
-Create an event flier in InDesign.
-Learn the basics of InDesign.
-Apply the basic design principles.
Process: I created this flier in InDesign. I was
able to lay the whole thing out based on my
schetch. The images and text were provided
for me.

Web Page

Description: Create a web page for a local employer

to show him your HTML, CSS, and logo design skills
Class: Comm 130-03
Date: March 14, 2015
Objectives:
-Create a new logo for a potential employer.
-Code a web page in HTML and CSS
Process: I created the logo in Illustrator. I used a free
coding program to code the HTML and CSS. It help
me code, I looked up a lot of different turorials on
W3 schools. I layed out the page according to my
sketches.

Event Ad
Description: Create an event ad in Microsoft
Word.
Class: Comm 130-03
Date: January 31, 2015
Objectives:
-Apply the design principles in an event
ad.
-Design an ad using Microsoft Word
-Learn how to scan and import an image.
Process: I created the ad in Microsoft Word. I
made the ad for a fishing derby. I scanned the
picture from a magazine and imported it into
Word. I aligned the text with the pole to creat
depth and alignment.

Corrections (2 hrs)
I spent two hours on my montage
project. I was able to work more on
all the edges of the images to make
it so you cant see any edges. I also
spent a lot of time on the colors. I
made them more vibrant so that it
will stick out more.
