Statement of Purpose
My purpose of doing an internship at CBC is to achieve professional excellence in my work,
career through a process of learning combined with experience and inclination. An internship at
CBC will be a stepping stone in achieving the dream as this will provide me with an opportunity
to learn from the top management brains of CBC. It will be a great learning experience as the
discussions, Live projects, knowledge sessions will give me a clear idea as to what lies ahead for
me.
I am very friendly and cooperative with people. I am not easily discouraged and believe in trying
again and again. I am very humble, approachable by nature and this trait helps me in dealing
with people seamlessly and effectively. My Engineering degree has given a strong foundation to
my analytical skills since Computer Engineering requires lot of number crunching and problem
solving ability. I have assisted IEEE by interacting with a large batch and involved in gauging
their interests for various events. I guided and trained students to develop an acumen in the field
of Robotics and programming. I designed and implemented projects that produced results such
as reducing the access time and retrieval time by 30% to 40% of medical journals. I have
initiated the development of a safety security system for protection of people, especially women
against any kind of threat, harassment. My summer training at HP and BHEL has given me the
experience of working in an organization and taught me a lot of things and also whets my
appetite for more knowledge. I realize how important it is to interact with other people working in
the same field, and at the same time, am able to work individually. More than what I have
studied in school and college, it has been these experiences that have shaped the person that I
am today. This blend has given me a broader perspective to and a good understanding of life and
a goal to aim for. Currently I am doing an MBA from IIMK which is helping me grow as an

Describe a non-work-life situation that tested your problem solving abilities.

I was in the fest organizing team of our college. As a part of the team my role was to see that all
the technical and audio & sound equipments are working properly. Besides that I also used to
assist my team in organizing other events, as usually 4-5 events took place each day in a 3 day
fest. On the final day of our cultural fest Mohit Chauhan, the popular singer was coming to
perform on the Star Night. Just two hour before, I found out that the PA System and the amplifier
into which the performers equipments are connected wasn't working properly and it could fail
during the concert which will be a really embarrassing situation for the college. It was a real
pressure cooker situation for me as the responsibility of proper functioning of equipments was on
my shoulders. Without wasting any more time I told my friend and fellow team member about
the situation. We thought it wasn't possible to get the necessary things in time and also install
them as there was no music equipment shop nearby. I knew cultural fests were going on in Delhi
University at that time too so I contacted one of my friends and asked if they require any Music
equipment today. By chance their Star night was scheduled for the next day. I requested him to
lend us the equipments for a few hours and willingly helped me. I got all the equipment
transferred from there, checked for its proper functioning, installed all the necessary software
and just 30 minutes before the crew's arrival all things were set. In the end the Star Night was
huge success and I was happy that I didn't let things fall down and acted quickly so as to handle
the situation maturely and effectively.
