Step1:
Gathertheappropriatetools
Mostofthesetoolsareincludedin
yourWelcomeKitthatcomeswith
themachine
Youwillneed:
o NeedleNosePliers
o PhillipsHeadScrewDriver
o NutDriver
o 7/64AllenKey
o ScissorsorWireCutters
o ProtectiveGloves(Included
inQuickStartKit)
o WireBrush(Includedin
QuickStartKit)
Step2:
Turnthemachineonandallowit
tobootup
Putthemachineintomaintenance
mode
Onthefrontofthemachinefrom
themainmenuselect:
MaintenanceMachineHead
Themenusmaybedifferenton
yourmachinedependingonthe
modelandcontrollersoftware
version
Themachinemaytakeupto30
minutesheatupbeforeyoucan
workonthehead

Step2:
OpentheHeadbyunscrewingthe
twoquarterturnscrewstotheleft
sideofthehead(circledinred)

Step3:
Slowlyopenthehead
Removeanycloggedmaterialand
cutthematerialoffthatisfeeding
intothehead
Afterremovingthematerialyou
cansee,unscrewtheFeedFunnel
picturedtotheright

Step4:
Wearingprotectivegloves
(includedintheWelcomeKit),
removetheFeedFunnelandset
aside

Step5:
Unscrewthetwomotorscrews
witha7/64thallen

Step6:
Removethemotorwiththepliers
andletithang

Step7:
Usingtheneedlenosepliers,
removeanyexcessmaterialthatis
inandaroundthetubethatfeeds
intothehead
Onthefrontofthemachine,select
theappropriatedrivemotorand
selectreversetorunthemotor,
thenselectHighHeatonthe
frontofthemachine.Thiswill
softenthematerialandhelpforce
itbackoutofthetube.
Thisstepcouldtakeafewminutes
asyouwillprobablyhaveto
removesomematerial,waitfor
moretobubbleout,andremove
more.
Repeatthisuntilasmuchofthe
materialaspossibleisremoved

Step8:
Withthebrushincludedinthe
WelcomeKit,brushanymaterial
awayfromthedrivewheelonthe
motor

Step9:
Reattachthedrivemotortothe
head
Thepegsonthemotor(circledin
red)lineupwiththeholesonthe
head(circleinred)
Anotherwaytodothisistolineup
thedrivewheelwiththetubethat
thematerialwasremovedfrom
(nextpicturewiththeotherdrive
motorremovedtobeabletosee)
Ifyoulinetheseupthenthepegs
willbeinthecorrectposition

Step10:
ReattachtheFeedFunnel

Step11:
Onthefrontofthemachinerun
themodelmotorforward
Feedapieceofmodelmaterial
throughthehead
Thematerialshouldstartextruding
throughthemodeltipafterabout
10seconds
Ifmaterialdoesnotfeedthrough,
repeattheprevioussteps

Step12:
Forthesupportsideusethesame
stepstodetachthemotorfromthe
head
Oncethemotorisdetached,use
theNutDrivertoremovethe
nutthatcoversthefeedtube.Be
verycarefulnottolosethisnut.

Onthefrontofthemachinerun
theSupportDrivemotorinreverse
SelectHighHeatifneeded
UseNeedleNoseplierstoremove
anymaterialinandaroundthe
feedtube
Inthefirstpicturetotheright
circledinredisanexampleof
somematerialthatneedstobe
removedwithpliers

Step14:
ReattachthemotorandFeed
Funnel
Cutapproximately5inchesof
supportmaterial
SelectRunSupportMotorforward
fromthefrontofthemachine
TheSupportMaterialshouldstart
toextrudefromtheSupportTip
within10seconds
Ifnomaterialextrudesrepeatthe
previoussteps
