Prose to Poetry - Form

(10 points):

The personal narrative should be clearly condensed


into to a poem featuring multiple stanzas. Stanzas
should capture the main points of the narrative
experience
Prose to Poetry - Sound

(10 points):

Poet uses specific sound technique(s) designed to


add meaning or emotion. Examples: rhyme, rhythm,
repetition, alliteration
Prose to Poetry Images

(10 points):

Poem has clear use of figurative language techniques


such as personification, sensory details and
similes/metaphors enhance images and paint a
picture for the reader
Presentation - Images

(10 points):

Images go beyond literal meaning and reflect specific


and appropriate emotions that align with the poems
meaning. Multiple image-enhancing techniques
(cropping, color, angle) are used
Presentation Speaking Skills

(10 points):

Presentation utilizes proper voice inflection, pacing


and volume. A voice inflection is used to convey
mood of poem during presentation and there is
minimal shifting, fidgeting and other distracting
gestures
