SB RESOLUTION NO. 032-2015

GRANTING AUTHORITY TO THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS, COUNCIL 10397, OF THE OUR
LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION PARISH, GUINOBATAN, ALBAY, TO UNDERTAKE/SPEARHEAD
THE PRINTING/PRODUCTION OF SOUVENIR PROGRAM FOR LONGGANISA FESTIVAL 2015
OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF GUINOBATAN.

WHEREAS,

every year the Local Government Unit of Guinobatan endeavors for the production
of a Souvenir Program for its Festival, usually slated from August 1 to August 16,
as a means of promoting its various activities and programs to the public and to
serve as an educational reference material thereafter;

WHEREAS,

for the past two years (2013 & 2014) however, the LGU was not able to come out
with such desired documentary material, and for this years festival, 2015, it is
timely and worthy to note, that the Knights of Columbus, Council 10397, has
signified its willingness to sponsor/undertake once again the making of this
material in behalf of the Municipality;

WHEREAS,

the Knight of Columbus, Council 10397 is considered by the LGU of Guinobatan

as a true partner for community development as its activities and programs are
collaborative of the LGUs in terms of environmental protection, public health and
safety, human development, maternal and youth care and other civic concerns
with social impact;

WHEREAS,

with this authority granted to the Knights of Columbus, Council 10397, the LGU of
Guinobatan feels comfortable enough that it can handle the task, as its capability,
competence and integrity on the matter had been tested and proven in the past,
when the Council was likewise granted with the said privilege;

WHEREFORE, in view of the foregoing premises, be it now:

RESOLVED,

as it is hereby resolved by the Sangguniang Bayan of Guinobatan, Albay in

session assembled, to grant as it hereby grants authority to the Knights of
Columbus, Council 10397, of the Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Guinobatan,
Albay, to undertake/spearhead the printing/production of souvenir program for
Longganisa Festival 2015 of the Municipal Government of Guinobatan.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that in view of this privilege, the herein grantee, KofC Council 10397, shall
work closely with the Municipal Council for Culture, History and the Arts (MCCHA)
and the Guinobatan Tourism Council (GTC) for the details of activities and
programs of the Festival and of the LGU that must be published in the Souvenir
Program for free, including those of the activities to be sponsored by other
organizations/entities as part of the celebration.
RESOLVED FINALLY, that a copy of this resolution be furnished the Honorable Mayor, the
MCCHA Coordinator, the GTC Chairperson, the KofC Council 10397 through its
Grand Knight, and all other persons concerned for their information and guidance.
APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY this 16th day of March, 2015 on motion of the lead sponsoring
Committee Chairman, Hon. Councilor Ricky S. Matza, and unanimously seconded
by the body during their 11 th Regular Session.
