Installation guide for Dr.

Ketans custom ROM N900

PART 1.

1. If you are on Stock ROM then first install CWM, Who on custom ROM OR CWM
already istalled
skip this step.

(dont extract it, its not zip but tar file.)
Flash using Odin
2.Download Dr.Ketans Custom ROM N900_*_Dr.Ketan custom ROM *.zip and copy to
Int SD OR Ext SD card
3.Before flashing ROM make backup of your imp data with titanium backup or any other
suits you best.
4.Reboot device recovery
switch off device - press Vol Up + Home + Power
5.Wipe data
Once device reboot to recovery, select wipe data/factory reset
6.Once data wipe finish select advanced tab and select - reboot recovery
7.Now again you will see main menu and select - Install zip
8.Select - choose zip from /sdcard OR choose zip file from /storage/extSdCard depending
on ROM file you have placed.
9.Navigate to ROM file N900_*_Dr.Ketan custom ROM *.zip and press enter
NOW Aroma will start and you have to select options depending on your needs. Now
heading over to part 2 with Aroma selection

Before starting part 2 I like to introduce basic features of ROM and these features will be
available on flashing ROM and you need not to select any option in aroma for these basic
features.

Basic features of the ROM (may minor variation will be there on version of ROM)
Pre rooted , Zip aligned
30 battery Mod (inbuilt 30 battery MOD including stock, you can change battery icon on
the fly (without reboot) To change icon tap battery icon three times from status bar. Don't
select show battery option in setting. tap battery icon 3 times on status bar, you will get
option for battery percent, select from there.

MultiWindow Quad view
Multiwindow hack - Quad view - you can open upto four app from MW
Sec Launcher MOD (Hide application option + choice to select app for guesture)
Camera Hack - Use camera with Flash at low battery
Dr.Ketan Utilities (setting-Device-Dr.Ketan ROM Extra-Utilities) OR you can access
from App drawer too.
Utilities have 3 section
1.Rom Extra settings
Pull choice - select your application for all 4 pullup
Launcher bottom,
Launcher side (only for S5 Launcher),
sFind -Air command menu and
Long Press Menu key
(to set sFind you needs to select My sFinder from PullUp)
2.Utilities Toggle
Auto record Incoming call,Auto Record Outgoing call
Auto GPS (GPS will auto ON with some common app needs GPS)
Auto Wifi (Wifi will be turn off if remains disconnected for 10min)
Auto Blutooth (will be turn off if remains unpaired for 10min)
Smart Network (Mob data will be switched off after 30 sec of screen off)
Media scanner Enable/Disable
Torch light on shaking device (Dispaly should be ON, lockscreen also will be work. This
is to prevent accidental ON while in pocket) It will be auto off in 20Sec
light on shake and login security
3.Utilities Tasks
EFS backup/Restore, Data Fix , Int SD Fix,
Flashing tool Keep raw file (e.g. recovery.img) on IntSD to flash recovery.
Flash recovery,Flash Modem(modem.bin) and Flash Kernel (boot.img)from int SD

PART 2
Optional features (you have to select from aroma)
So as you have select ROM zip file in CWM, Aroma will starts and you have to follow wizards
and have to select appropriate options depending on features you want to have or skip. Here I
am describing full visual guide how aroma option may looks like.
1.First screen will be welcome screen, followed by

2. MultiTool Menu
This screen will have three parts
Rom Flasher To continue with flashing ROM and utility, you have to proceed with this
menu
Aroma File manager This utility help you to manage to access file in recovery, you
can copy,delete ,manage permission files from here. This is helpful when device cant
boot and you needs to transfer some files
System Information view information about your device

3.EFS Backup
This is very important thing and you should have EFS backup of your device.
Selecting this option then you will have efs.img (backup file) in MyEFS folder of IntSD card.

If you already have EFS backup you can skip this step.

4.ROM flash
This is main menu to flash ROM base. If you dont select to flash ROM then main ROM
base wont be flashed. Still you can use other option to modify existing features
features. If you
want to flash ROM, you have to select option to flash Dr.Ketan ROM otherwise you can skip it.

5.Recovery Flasher
You can change recovery along with ROM flashing OR separately, here is screenshot for
different available recovery. If you want to flash recovery raw image then put recovery.img to
Int SD or Ext SD and select option accordingly. If you dont select then it will keep existing
recovery

6.Kernel Flasher
You can flash your desired kernel along with ROM or separately from below said available
kernel. If you dont select any option while flashing ROM, kernel will be flashed which comes
with ROM. So select only if you want to change kernel.

7.Modem Flasher
Same like kernel, If you dont select anyone with ROM it wil
willl flash which comes with ROM,
select only if you want to change.

8.Bloatware remover
If you want to remove bloatware, select customize bloatware removal, otherwise skip it.

When you select custome removal, it will give lots of option to remove. You can remove which
you dont like to have on your device. Remember certain bloatware affect some services and
you should know which one is not useful to you.

9.Bloatware restore
In case you have wrongly removed any bloatware, you can re run aroma anytime and you will
have same option to restore bloatware. This is same like previous menu but this will restore
selected bloatware

10.Mods
Here mods option divided on two catagories

A.System UI
Restore 30 battery mod - This mod by default available in ROM select only if you have
changed,
Restore Stock battery, Traffic meter and power button mods not compatible with stock,
compatible to wanam battery module
Soft power button on Rt side status bar,
Soft power button on Lt side status bar,
Rt speed meter No power button , Internet meter on Rt side opp to clock,
Rt speed meter Rt Power button, Internet meter on and Soft power button on Rt side,
Rt speed meter Lt Power button, Internet meter Rt side and Soft power button Lt side,
Lt speed meter No power button , Internet meter on Lt side,
Lt speed meter Rt Power button, Internet meter on Lt side and Soft power button on Rt
side,

B.Extra Mods
Toggle 2G, control 3G
FullScreen caller ID, with manual call record option,

Restore Not3 launcher (Only select if you have earlier flashed S5 launcher and want to
move back, no need to select with ROM flashing)
White Keyboard,
Remove Ad Free,
Manual Call record without fullscreen ID, This will add record button on call screen,
Transparent Genie widget, Google news and weather Transparent widget,
Tab view for settings, Select only if you going to use ROM 320 or 360 DPI,
Remove Tab view for settings,
No SMS log,
Hidden cerberus, You needs to have purchased from play store,
Reactivate Torch Toggle, No need to select this while you flashing ROM. but in case
you lose Torch toggle anytime then select this to call it back. It will remain on last
position.

Remove SuperCharegMod
Remove launcher rotation (If you dont want to launcher roratation, select this)
PenWindow and Multi Window manager (select desired app to enable in PW and

11.Themes

In this menu you can select themes for QuickPanel Toggles and AirCommand Menu
If you dont want to use theme, you can skip it.

12.Sound Mods
This will give different option to increase or decrease sound volume, also you can returns to
stock anytime
This also have option to flash Viper mod

13.CSC Features (Read Tip for wanam user at end of guide)

This menu gives lots of option to enable CSC features on the GO. Remember You need not to
select trigger option unless it not works on flashing it first time.
Also there is option to Backup/restore existing file.

14.Build prop features

With this menu you can edit build prop file and can add many from available features. Also
there is option to backup/restore if you want to remove later.
You can skip if you dont want to add it.

15.DPI Setting
This ROM have facility to use multiple DPI on ROM, Read post #4 for screenshot of DPI and
further useful information about MultiDPI settings.
You can set DPI between 320/360/400/430/480 (stock)
Remember when you change DPI you may needs to wipe Launcher data.

16. LockScreen Bypass - You can reset passworg/PIN/Pattern anytime with this without
wiping data.

17. System Push

If you keep app in app OR framework folder of int SD which needs to push in system/app OR
System/framework, this mod will push it accordingly and will change permission
18.GPS Fix
Select your region while flashing, which help to FIX GPS faster.

19.Ready to Install warning

This is last step of Aroma and still you can interrupt flashing/Installing by pressing Menu Quit
installation, after this screen flashing will start and it will take care of all option you have
selected while wizard.

Tip for wanam module users
If you are using any CSC features or using Penwindo
Penwindow or multiwindow manager then you
should first implement these features and only after that should install wanam's module.
Installing wanam's module it will copy your existing features to his module resources so
any thing you apply after installing wanam's module may not effective.
