PROCEDURE FOR COMPLIANCE MONITORING

1.0

PURPOSE
This procedure specifies the process of reporting compliance monitoring and other significant
environmental data.

2.0

SCOPE
All projects (Free Zone and Business Units) with significant environmental issues within the Ports,
Customs and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) and Dubai World jurisdiction areas.

PROCEDURE

Completion of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Compliance Report Form and/or

EHS Monitoring Report Form
3.1.1

Projects with approved EIA Study shall accomplish EIA Compliance Report Form
and EHS Monitoring Report Form. Projects without approved EIA Study with
significant environmental issues shall accomplish the EHS Monitoring Report Form.

3.1.2

All entries shall be typed or legibly written. If a certain parameter does not apply to
your operations, kindly indicate NA (not applicable) on the blank provided.

3.1.3

If in case there is a need to conduct laboratory analysis, any accredited third party
laboratory (http://www.dac.dm.ae) can be approached.

Submission of EIA Compliance Report and/or EHS Monitoring Report

3.2.1

REVISION: 00

The accomplished EIA Compliance Report and/or EHS Monitoring Report along
with its attachments (if any) shall be submitted to EHS in soft copies only either
through email (EHS.environment@trakhees.ae) or written in portable media (e.g.,
CD) at the Reception EHS Main Office, Main Gate No. 3, Jebel Ali Free Zone.

The frequency of submission of EIA Compliance Report shall be on a quarterly

basis for Category A projects and semi-annual basis for Category B projects. On the
other hand, EHS Monitoring Report shall be submitted on a quarterly basis. The
frequency of analysis for the EHS Monitoring Report shall be as per the requirement
in the relevant environmental permits (e.g., Air Emission, Irrigation, etc.) issued.
The deadline of submission shall be on the 15th day of the month succeeding the last
month of the quarter being covered by the Report (i.e., EHS Monitoring Report for
the 4th Quarter October, November, December deadline of submission is on or
before 15th day of January).

Review of the EIA Compliance Report and/or EHS Monitoring Report

The submitted Report/s and its attachment/s shall be reviewed by EHS. Any feedbacks shall
be communicated directly to the contact person indicated in the submitted form.

3.4

Non-submission of the EIA Compliance Report and/or EHS Monitoring Report

Failure to submit EIA Compliance Report and/or EHS Monitoring Report shall be given a
notice. After two (2) instances of failure of submission after notices have been given, a
Warning Notice shall be issued. If no response has been received, Final Warning Notice
shall be given. Any succeeding failure of submission after the issuance of Final Warning
Notice shall correspond to a financial penalty.
