Do you want to be happy?

(Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men
which were upon the face of the earth.)

The Beatitudes - Part 3

Christian Wife - 1 Peter 3:1-6

MATTHEW 5:5

Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting

the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not
corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit,
which is in the sight of God of great price.

5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

Meek vs Weak
What does it mean to be meek?
Merriam-Webster Dictionary

meek: deficient in spirit and courage

Dictionary.com
meek: overly submissive; spiritless; tame
Here is a good biblical definition of meekness:

Meekness is humbly laying down my authority, my

rights, or even my desires that God would be
magnified in my life.

And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto
all men, apt to teach, patient,
In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God
peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging
of the truth;

What does it mean for they shall inherit the

earth?
One day, all of the times it appeared that we were
defeated, mistreated, and under appreciated will seem
so small when we reign with Christ.

Revelation 22:1-7

And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal,

proceeding out of the throne of God and of the LambAnd
there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither
light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they
shall reign for ever and ever.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18

What does meekness look like?

There are a lot of great illustrations of meekness in the Bible, but

we want to look at three specific ones.

Moses - Numbers 12

Numbers 12:3

For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man
perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for
us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the
things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are
temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
