school. The demographic data for Beach High School is as follows:

Chatham County Public Schools has for the past couple of years been implementing new
technologies to be used in the classroom. Various technologies were introduced in our
new three year technology plan including Edmodo. Because technology is becoming a
huge part of the curriculum, plagiarism has increased dramatically. Plagiarizing is a
serious issue and can ruin the livelihood of many students. What I have noticed is that
when students enter the ninth grade, they turn in other students assignments and/or
copy and paste answers from the web. After speaking and explaining the consequences
of plagiarizing, students are shocked and immediately say they did not know. Mr. Blake
and I came together after speaking with our students about plagiarizing and realized that
both classes lacked knowledge about plagiarizing and decided to move forward with the
plagiarizing unit.
