ENGLISH VERSION
System requirements
To install and use the program, it is necessary:

a
PC
running
the
operating
system
Windows98/2000/XP/ME/Vista;
a PC with 9-pin serial port (even using a USB-RS232
adaptors);
administrator rights during the first installation (Windows
2000/XP);
serial Communication Cable and RJ-45 Terminal Plug (order
code R0002534AB).

Installation and configuration

Installation
NOTE: If an old version of the program already exist on the PC, its recommended to
remove it using the ADD OR REMOVE PROGRAMS windows function before
installing the new version. The installation of the new version wont delete
the binary files in the BinFiles folder.
The Service Excite Loader program is delivered as an exe file. Go to Setup folder, run the
Setup.exe file and follow the instruction on the screen.
At the end of the installation procedure, copy all the binary SW files to be uploaded in the
"C:\Programs\Service Excite Loader\BinFiles\" subfolders created by the setup program.
Inside this folder already exist one folder for each piece of equipment.
NOTE: If the SW is supplied with CD ROM you can find inside it the BinFiles folder
which can be used to overwrite the one created by the program Setup. It
would be better in this case to delete the BinFiles folder present on the PC,
before copy the one supplied with CD ROM.
NOTE: The files can be downloaded from the Product release section of the
Technogym Direct.
NOTE: For an easier use of the program it is possible to create a shortcut of the file
"ServiceExciteLoader.exe" on the Windows Desktop.

Configuration
a.

Run the program by clicking on the shortcut created in the START menu. The following
window will appears on the display:

Press the Settings button. From the new window which appears on the display, its
possible to select:

The COM port: its possible to choose the port number, between the 1st to
the 15th, in a combo box. After selected it, use the function Check COM to
verify if the port works properly.
The language: its possible to choose the language, between ITALIAN,
ENGLISH, FRANCH, GERMAN, DUTCH, SPANISH and DANSK.

Save the changes by pressing the Save button or esc the configuration without save any
changes by pressing the Quit button.

Using the program

1. Run the program by clicking on the shortcut created in the START menu.
2. Connect the Serial Communication Cable to the PC 9-pin serial port and to the CSAFE port
on the machine.
3. Select the equipment you want to update.

4. Select the operation to perform.

5. Select the proper file to upload:

Press the button indicated by the arrow, to find the proper file and select it.

6. Press the Execute button to start the upload.

The upload procedure may change depending on the upgrade you are
performing, please refer to the instructions shown in the WARNING window.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. If you are upgrading both High and Low kit, we strongly recommend to perform the
High Kit upgrade FIRST and then the Low Kit upgrade.
2. At the end of each upload remember to check and set properly the user settings
(Language) and to load all the default settings through the STANDARD
SETTINGS command inside the Technical Configuration (3-6-9 keys or 0-3-6-9 for
a Wellness TV Touch screen, password 2501).
Check if the TV STANDARD is correctly configured for the country where the
machine is installed.
3. For every upgrade, make sure to respect the compatibility charts between high and
low kit SW in order to have the machine properly functioning (see Technical
Newsletter 06/2003 or following).

Requisiti di sistema
Per installare ed utilizzare il programma, necessario:

un PC su cui sia presente come sistema operativo uno tra

Windows98/2000/XP/ME/Vista;
un PC dotato di porta seriale 9 pin (oppure un adattatore USBRS232);
i diritti di amministratore durante la prima installazione (solo
per Windows 2000 e XP);
il cavo di comunicazione seriale e terminatore RJ-45 per porta
CSAFE (codice del kit R0002534AB).

Installazione e configurazione
Installazione
NOTA: Se sul computer gi presente una versione precedente del programma
consigliabile rimuoverla tramite la funzione INSTALLAZIONE APPLICAZIONI
di Windows prima dellinstallazione. Linstallazione della nuova versione non
andr a cancellare i file binari nella cartella BinFiles.
Il programma Service Excite Loader viene consegnato come file autoeseguibile. Portarsi nella
cartella Setup, lanciare il file "Setup.exe" e seguire le istruzioni che appaiono a video.
Al termine dellinstallazione copiare tutti i file binari dei SW da caricare sulle macchine
allinterno delle sottocartelle di Service Excite Loader create dal setup del programma in
"C:\Programmi\Service Excite Loader\BinFiles\". Allinterno di questa sono gi presenti
le cartelle per ogni prodotto.
NOTA: Se il SW viene distribuito tramite CD ROM esiste allinterno di esso una
cartella BinFiles che pu essere utilizzata per sovrascrivere quella creata dal
Setup del programma. comunque consigliabile in questo caso, cancellare la
cartella BinFiles presente prima di copiare quella contenuta nel CD ROM.
NOTA: I file possono essere scaricati direttamente dalla sezione Versione Prodotti
del Technogym Direct.
NOTA: Per un uso pi agevole del programma possibile creare un collegamento al
file "ServiceExciteLoader.exe" sul desktop di Windows.

Configurazione
c.

Eseguire il programma dal collegamento creato nel men START. A video apparir la
seguente videata:

d.

Premere il tasto Impostazioni. Si aprir una ulteriore finestra nella quale possibile
selezionare:

la porta COM: da scegliere attraverso una combo box tra quelle proposte
che vanno da 1-15. Dopo averla selezionata utilizzare il tasto Verifica
COM per verificare la validit della porta.
La lingua: da scegliere attraverso una combo box tra ITALIANO, INGLESE,
FRANCESE, TEDESCO, OLANDESE, SPAGNOLO e DANESE.

Salvare le modifiche effettuate premendo il tasto Salva oppure uscire senza apportare
modifiche premendo Esci.

Utilizzo del programma

a. Eseguire il programma dal collegamento creato nel men START.
b. Collegare il cavo di comunicazione seriale alla porta 9 pin del PC ed alla porta CSAFE della
macchina.
c. Selezionare lattrezzo da aggiornare.

d. Selezionare il componente da aggiornare.

e. Selezionare il file da caricare:

Premere il tasto indicato dalla freccia, per trovare il file desiderato e selezionarlo

f.

Premere il pulsante Esegui per avviare il caricamento.

La procedura corretta per avviare il caricamento pu differire in base al tipo di

aggiornamento che si sta effettuando. Seguire le istruzioni che appaiono nella
finestra di WARNING per il corretto funzionamento.

NOTE IMPORTANTI:
1. Se necessario aggiornare sia il kit alto che quello basso si raccomanda di aggiornare
prima il Kit Alto e poi il Kit Basso.
2. Alla fine di ogni caricamento ricordarsi di impostare correttamente le impostazioni
utente (es. Lingua, Data e Ora) e di caricare le impostazioni di default tramite il
commando STANDARD SETTINGS allinterno del men Technical
Configuration (tasti 0-3-6-9 oppure 0-3-6-9 per macchine Wellness TV Touch screen,
password 2501).
Verificare che lo STANDARD TV sia correttamente impostato per il paese di utilizzo
(vedi cap.9 del Manuale di assistenza)
3. Prima di ogni aggiornamento assicurarsi che ci sia compatibilit tra le versioni
software del kit alto e del kit basso in conformit alle tabelle di compatibilit presenti
sulla Technical Newsletter 06/2003 (o successive).
