GUIDELINES TO WRITE CASES

Case should address issues relevant to a Pakistani Organization.


Case should be focused on subject area within Accounting,
Costing, Finance, Tax and Audit. These subject areas may be
clubbed/merged within the domains of Strategy, International
Business, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Operations
and Logistics, Enterpreneurship etc.
Kindly focus a class room type case rather than case histories.
An effective class room case is more than just a story.
Case studies should be between 5000 and 8000 words in length
Case should feature one or more central management issue(s)
or decision(s) that has/have valuable applications.
The central management issue(s) or decision(s) should not be
too obvious, nor should it be impossible to define.
Make sure the
case includes the data needed to tackle the
management issue(s) or decision(s) is neither too much nor too
little.
A balanced perspective should be presented, including contrasts
and comparisons.
Neutral stance should be taken to avoid biasing your readers.
Case could be used to provide currently useful generalizations
applicable to chosen subject area
Case should bring the protagonist (leading characters in the
case) to the foreground. Spent enough time developing the

central protagonist in your case.


Case should have at least six key learning points regarding the
subject matter.
Case should contain sufficient discussion and question about
possible issues with suggested solutions including at least one
example of an acceptable solution and one of a best solution.

Permissions/Consent/Acknowledgements
All cases must include appropriate signed permissions from case
Protagonists, e.g., CEO; company directors or any employee
given authority by the organization; or the person or persons
under review, granting full permission to publish the case.
(Sample is attached as Annex A). Written permission must also
be obtained if you include any material for which someone other
than yourself or the case subject/protagonist, own the copyright.
Necessary written permission in advance is required from all
relevant parties for the use of this information in print and
electronic formats of any of their text, illustrations, graphics, or
other material, in manuscript of case. Permission must also be
cleared for any minor adaptations of any work not created by
them.
Must obtain any proof of consent statements
Acknowledge all sources in figure captions and refer to the
source in the reference list.
