The fragrance of a flower spreads around as soon as it is born. Similarly,
Pandit Anandathirtha Sharma of Atmakur, from the age of 12 itself, has started
writing Poetry and books. Being a successor of great Scholars family, he has
inborn merit in the fields of Veda, Vedanta and Sanskrit Grammar, etc., With
grace of Goddess Saraswathi, he has authored many books in different languages
and also translated many books in different languages. He has been honoured by
Presidents of India, Governors, Ministers, and a large number of Scholars of
different fields.
Pandit Anandathirtha Sharmas father Pandit Padmanabha Sharma was also
a great scholar in Sanskrit Grammar. Pandit Padmanabha Sharma had his
Upanayana done by Sri Madan Mohan Sharma, the founder of Banaras Hindu
University. Many great people like Dr.Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, Arnold Joseph
Toynbee (Horward University Historian) visited the Vedic School Panini
MahaVidyalaya founded by Pandit Padmanabha Sharma at Atmakur.
Pandit Anandathirtha Sharmas forefathers were residents of Maharashtra
and his grandfather Sri Appa Rao was a freedom fighter. Our Great freedom
fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Bala Gangadhara Tilak, Chatterji, Annie Besant,
Rabindranath Tagore used to visit Sri Appa Raos house at Madanapalli in Andhra
Pradesh. The National Anthem Jana Gana Mana, written by Rabindranath
Tagore and Vande Mataram, written by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee, both were
written at Sri Appa Raos house at Madanapalli only.
Pandit Anandathirtha Sharma, born in 1946, from his childhood, has
studied Vedas, Vedanta, Sanskrit Grammar and many other works with
Sri.Yudhishtir Ji Mimamsak of Rajasthan, Dr.Kamalapati Triphathi, Sri Udayaveera
Shastry, Ramacharya Galagali, Makhdoom Hussain, and other great scholars. He
also used to play with Mr.Sanjay Gandhi at Allahabad in those days.
Pandit Anandathirtha Sharma, is a scholar in 12 Indian languages and also
in Latin and Hebrew languages., The book UPA SARPA MTARAM BHMIM
written by him, in Sanskrit, at the age of 12, having 200 pages, is the most
important one amongst more than 60 other books authored by him. Dr.Sarvepalli
Radhakrishnan has awarded him a cash prize of Rs.2,000/- for this book, along
with blessing him with a foreword for this book. He has also translated more than
