Introduction
If you suffer from hemorrhoids, I am sure you shudder at the thought of
having to go to the toilet. The excruciating pain often times
accompanied with bleeding in severe cases makes this morning ritual a
real ordeal. And, whats worse is that they tend to reoccur. Well, that
makes it quite clear then - You will never stop suffering unless you learn
the trick to keep them dormant!
Its a nuisance when you have to depend on antibiotics every
fortnightly to subside the symptoms. The strong medications can get
your stomach upset and thereby force you to stop them as soon as you
start. Also, they are only a temporary relief as they do nothing to cure

the root causes. A better option is to rely on natural remedies that will
soothe the inflamed veins externally as well as offer a long-term
solution that works from the inside. Ill give you a detailed list of the

My story
Hi! My name is Patricia and in this book I will
show you how to get rid of hemorrhoids fast and
naturally, so stop everything you are doing,
because if you follow the tips in my book, you will
heal hemorrhoids in a few weeks and the pain,
irritation, bleeding, swelling, discomfort, digestive
disorders and itching will disappear in just a few days, even hours.
You see, ever since I was little, I used to spend a lot of time on the
toilet, because I was always constipated. I started developing
hemorrhoids when I was in college, because thats when I was very
busy with school and didnt pay any attention to what I ate. Because I
use to spent lots of hours in school, also started working part time to
pay my college, I was eating only when I had time and most of the days
I almost forgot to drink water, so as the time passed, my hemorrhoids
got worse.

So, I went to see another doctor, and he told me that the only
way to get rid of my hemorrhoids was surgery. Also, he recommended

What are hemorrhoids? And, why do you have


them?
Popular as piles, hemorrhoids are a condition in which the veins around
the rectum and anus get inflamed; they become distended and take on
a bulgy appearance. They are caused due to increased pressure in the
anal canal. They are painful and can cause discomfort when sitting. It
should not be mistaken for fissures and fistulae.
Hemorrhoids can develop internally that is inside the anal cavity or
externally that is tiny growths hang loosely outside or along the rectum.
In case of the latter, you can feel a bulge-like growth if you touch the
affected area. It may or may not be accompanied by pain, itching,
irritation or bleeding. Internal hemorrhoids might cause bleeding
during or after passing a stool. Blog clots around the anus are also

Hemorrhoids can be extremely unpleasant and painful for many
people. They can be easily treated and often prevented. When the
veins around the anus or in the rectum are swollen or inflamed the
patient has hemorrhoids. They can occur for the following reasons:
pregnancy, diarrhea, constipation, sitting for long periods at a time in
the toilet, obesity, genetics.
There are two main types of hemorrhoids: internal and external
hemorrhoids.

Internal hemorrhoids lie inside the anal canal, where they primarily
cause the symptom of intermittent bleeding, usually with bowel
movements.
External hemorrhoids lie just outside the anal opening, where they
cause symptoms of discomfort, swelling, itching. External hemorrhoids
may also cause difficulties keeping the anal area clean after bowel
movements, but is essentially to keep it as clean as possible. A
s hemorrhoids generally get worse as time goes by. Doctors say a large
number of people who go and have a checkup are found to have
hemorrhoids and should be treated as soon as they appear.
Anyone can suffer from hemorrhoids. However, it is common in
individuals with chronic constipation. Studies also suggest that people
in the age group between 45 and 65 years are prone to hemorrhoids as
aging weakens the tissues and other support structures.
This condition is also common during pregnancy. This is because of the
hormonal changes occurring during the child-bearing stage coupled
with the pressure exerted by the growing fetus.

Hemorrhoids might also be a genetic predisposition. The other factors


that might cause this condition include obesity or simply being
overweight, excessive smoking, a sedentary lifestyle, inflammatory
bowel diseases such as Crohns disease and ulcerative colitis, Irritable
Bowel Syndrome, liver cirrhosis and stress.

How can we prevent hemorrhoids?


As you know the best treatment is prevention in all cases. How can we
prevent hemorrhoids from appearing?

Straining. When you go to the toilet try not to strain or hold your
breath, as this creates pressure in the veins in the lower rectum.
Go when you need to. If you have the urge to go to the toilet, go. Do
not wait. The longer you wait, the drier the stools will be. Dont be
embarrassed to go to bathroom if you are with friends or you are in
public. There are public toilets EVERYWHERE! Use them!
Be physically active. Physical inactivity, sitting or standing still for long
periods puts pressure on the veins. So if you are in your office ALL DAY

LONG and stay at the desk, take 3-4 breaks and relax your butt muscles.
Take a 3 minutes break for stretching every 60 minutes.
Keep your body-fat percentage down. Obesity significantly raise a
person's risk of having hemorrhoids.
Consume foods rich in water and stay hydrated. Your diet should be
based on fresh fruits and veggies, at least 40 % of what you eat should
be fresh fruits and veggies.
Avoid thong panties and wear cotton ones.
Change your diet! Include fibers in your meals.

Constipation is the first cause of hemorrhoids. When you are
constipated is a sign from your body that something is wrong youre
your digestive system. But what causes constipation? The answer is
almost always a pour and a wrong diet.
So from now on, foods rich in fibers should your best friend!
Constipation is regarded as one of the major causes of hemorrhoids.
Hence, it is important to eat a diet that will soften the stool naturally.
The first tweak you must make is to include an adequate amount of
fiber to your diet. Here you can pile on green leafy vegetables, fresh
fruits, cereals and whole grains. Fiber allows the stool to pass easily and

thereby relieves pain and discomfort. However, you must not increase
the intake of fiber all of a sudden as it causes gas and bloating. A
healthy amount is 25-30 grams per day.
Eating grounded flaxseed is a good way to add fiber to your diet. Add
one spoon of powder to a glass of water and drink it.
Bioflavonoids are another must have ingredient in a hemorrhoidfriendly diet. It is a plant compound present in citrus fruits namely
lemons and oranges. The main citrus bioflavonoids include Diosmin,
Oxerutins and Hesperidin.
These citrus bioflavonoids strengthen the walls of the blood vessels and
thereby help reduce discomfort, pain and bleeding associated with
hemorrhoid flare-ups. You can get these bioflavonoids in the natural
form or through supplementation; however my recommendation is to
eat 2 oranges per day.
Your diet should also be geared towards maintaining a healthy weight.
It reduces the pressure on the bottom particularly on the anus. To do
so without any major overhauls to your diet, you must eat a balanced
diet with a controlled amount of fat and carbohydrates.
Additionally, in order to promote bowel movements, you must also
increase your intake of fluids as it relieves constipation. You must drink
minimum 8-10 glasses of water per day at least 2 liters.
We live in a world where our lives are incomplete without fast food.
However, they are the worst for hemorrhoids.
You should reduce (my advice is to stop) the intake of caffeinated and
carbonated beverages as well as alcohol. These drinks reduce the pH
balance of your body.

If your diet is lacking in fiber you can become constipated. Here

constipation by keeping your stool soft and easy to move.

Foods that reduce constipation


You have some useful information about components and their
benefits for your hemorrhoids cure.
Plums are well known for helping maintain a healthy colon
and lower blood cholesterol level. Also plums are a good
source of vitamin C and fiber and are indicated in a healthy
diet.

Strawberries are high in water and fibers too. Eating food


rich in water and fiber minimize constipation and help you
stay hydrated and have regular bowl movements.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Maybe you heard


this proverb and it is totally true regarding constipation
problems. Apple is the most cultivated and consumed fruit
in the word and is extremely rich in antioxidants and dietary

Pears contain a high source of pectin which is diuretic and

Wheat bran - you can use in your diet as a source of fiber

your gastrointestinal system regular. Additionally, this
healthy mixture of roughage feeds the probiotics in your gut
and helps secure a robust immune system.

Oat bran contains fiber and soluble fiber and helps


digestion. Is also delicious and is an extra element of variety
in your diet.

3 Smoothie Against constipation


Strawberries smoothie
You need:

2 cups strawberry

1 apple

1 plum

1 tablespoon oat bran

1 tablespoon flaxseeds

cup water

Mix them in a blender and in 4 minutes your delicious smoothie is


ready.
Pear smoothie
You need:

1 fresh pear

cup apple juice

1 tablespoon fresh root ginger grated

1 tablespoon wheat bran

Mix them in a blender for 3 minutes.


Blueberries smoothie
You need:

1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries

1 kiwi

1 tablespoon psyllium bran

5 tablespoon fresh juice lemon

3 fresh or frozen mint leaves

cup water

Mix all ingredients for 4 minutes.


Because its not easy to wake up every morning and think about what
to eat to be in shape, full of energy and have a normal bowl movement,

1. Keep your butt area as clean as you possible can, use warm
water and a gentle soap.

5. Avoid alcohol! Alcohol is dehydrating your body, however if you
consume it, drink lots of water as well.
6. Stay away from dairy products. All cheeses lead to constipation
and should not be consumed. Even milk contains casein, which is
proven to increase hemorrhoids. The only healthy dairy product I
recommend is Greek Yogurt. Pure whey protein is also ok. And if you
drink your coffee with milk, do not use too much milk, and try to go for
skim milk. To be honest with you, if you want to cure your
hemorrhoids, you must compromise, so avoid dairy products, replace
milk with coconut milk or almond milk.

Answer natures call when it comes. One suffers from
hemorrhoids when the veins in the anal region stretch, swell and
bulge under pressure. Therefore, trying to force out stools can
aggravate the condition. Go to the toilet only when you feel a
strong urge to. This allows easy passage without exerting too
much pressure.

Do not sit for very long hours. In many cases, hemorrhoids are the
result of a sedentary lifestyle. Sitting for prolonged hours exerts
pressure on your bottom and thereby on the veins around the
anus. If your job demands long hours of sitting, take a break in the
middle for 5-10 minutes and walk around the block.
A sitz bath offers the best relief for painful hemorrhoids. Take a
tub of warm water and add some Epsom salt or alum to it. Sit in
the tub with the buttocks and hips immersed in the water for
around 10-15 minutes. Doing so reduces the swelling and pain
associated with hemorrhoids. It must be done thrice a day for fast
results.
Try to alleviate pain and swelling with an ice pack. Take a few ice
cubes in a bag and ferment the affected area; make sure you do
not apply the ice directly. The cold ferment helps the problem by
shrinking the inflamed veins around the anus. You get the same

It is also important to maintain proper anal hygiene. Often, the
hemorrhoid swellings develop fissures and that is what causes
bleeding. It is an open wound and therefore must be kept clean.

contain ingredients such as aloe that heal and soothe the skin.
Wherever possible, try not to lift heavy objects or perform

If the area is already inflamed making it difficult to sit down, use a
cushion under your bottom. Many suggest sitting on an inflated,
doughnut-shaped pillow.
There are a number of typical treatments for hemorrhoids too.

- Petroleum jelly is the most common and popular. Along with the
outer ring, you can dab a small amount of petroleum jelly inside
the rectum to increase lubrication.
- Vitamin E oil, coconut oil and castor oil can also be applied to the
affected area because of the anti-bacterial and healing properties.
They offer relief during outbreaks.
- Herbs such as calendula, chamomile and witch hazel are applied
as an ointment or compress topically. These treat the symptoms
and also reduce the chances of future outbreaks. Witch hazel
shrinks the blood vessels and reduces bleeding as it acts as an
astringent. Witch hazel is often included as an ingredient in overthe-counter topical hemorrhoid ointments.
- Aloe Vera is known for its healing properties. The pulpy extract
can be applied directly to the affected area to get relief from the
symptoms.
- There is another herb called the Butchers broom (Ruscus
aculeatus) which is very effective for hemorrhoids. Its common
names include knee holly, sweet broom and box holly. It
stimulates the alpha-adrenergic receptors and helps constrict the
veins. It can be in tea form or as a capsule.

Avoid using any soap that contains perfumes, surfactants and


dyes. They tend to irritate the already inflamed skin.
The clothing and underwear you wear is also important. Cotton
underwear absorbs the moisture and prevents further
inflammation. Also, avoid wearing tight undergarments and pants
that increase the pressure around the anus.

Set it right with exercise


Not many are aware of the fact that exercise can be of great help if you
want to cure hemorrhoids. Exercise should be made a part of your daily

If youve suffered constipation all your life and have failed to pinpoint
the actual cause for it, you sure should consider how you sleep and how
much you sleep. Repeated late nights are a cause for faulty bowel
movements. It is the reason why you have to strain to pass a stool. In
order to set the bowel movement right, you should sleep well. Sleeping
well does not only imply getting 7-8 hours of sleep daily, but also
sleeping soundly with fewer disturbances.
Since pregnancy is one of the major factors affecting constipation and
thereby hemorrhoids. However, sleep is the most affected during
pregnancy. Therefore, it is important to look for ways to promote

healthy sleeping. You can lie on your side to reduce the pressure on
your back and the bottom. For a regular person, you can sleep flat on
your stomach with a pillow placed under the hips to helps the swelling
subside.
Stress also has a major impact on the body. It causes a lot of problems
as it interferes with digestion, bowel movements and sleep. Stress has
become an indispensable aspect of our lives and impossible to get rid of
it completely. However, the secret is to learn how to manage stress
effectively and prevent it from taking a toll on your body. Yoga,
meditation and brain gym techniques can be used to manage stress.
