What format do the modules take?

The course is studied exclusively online. Each module consists of
a course of study containing material and formative assessment
exercises and is assessed by the submission of a piece of
coursework or a controlled assessment. Typical coursework would
be to report on national processes and practice as against the
international norms.
The course seeks to be of maximum practical use for construction
professionals and adopts several standpoints for studying law
approaches including black letter and socio-legal approaches. The
course is underpinned by examples from practice to stimulate
interest and debate.
Each online module workbook will also feature self-assessment
exercises based on recap and independent investigation of the
points of law involved. The use of case studies, role play and online
forums also help establish a collegiate feel amongst students on the
course. UWE Bristol uses Blackboard as an academic platform to
support its students which would also be the submission point for
coursework on the modules.
