PREAMBLE
The Government of Maharashtra has decided to conduct a single Common Entrance
Test MH-CET-2015 for selection to degree courses in Health Sciences and BVSc & AH
courses. The Entrance Test (MH CET 2015) will be held on Thursday 07th May 2015 at all
the district headquarters in Maharashtra.
For selection to Health Science degree courses, The Director, Medical Education and
Research (DMER), Mumbai is the Competent Authority. The Authority for selection to BVSc
& AH degree course is the Registrar, Maharashtra Animal and Fisheries Science University,
Nagpur.
The application form for MH CET 2015 will be available on the website
"www.mhcet-exams.co.in". The information Brochure for Health Science Course is available
on the website "www.dmer.org". The syllabus of MHCET 2015 is also available on the
website "www.dmer.org". The admit card & Score Card can be downloaded by the candidate
from the website "www.mhcet-exams.co.in".
After declaration of merit list, specified number of candidates will be called to fill the
preference form at four centers (Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur & Aurangabad). On the basis of
choices given by candidates the selection list will be displayed course-wise & college-wise
on the website www.dmer.org.

1. INTRODUCTION
The entrance examination for the selection to Health Science degree Courses in the State of
Maharashtra for the academic year 2015-2016 shall be conducted by the Competent Authority appointed
by The Government of Maharashtra. Seats in Health Science Courses are at all Government/Municipal
Corporation, Government aided Health Science institutions and Private Medical Health Science
Colleges/ Institutions who opt for admission through MH CET 2015. The Competent Authority shall
devise the system of Counseling and Selection. This procedure shall be governed by regulations and
directions specified by the Govt. of Maharashtra from time to time.
The merit list of MH-CET-2015 will be utilized for the selection to Veterinary Colleges in
Maharashtra. The Registrar, Maharashtra Animal & Fishery Science University (MAFSU), Nagpur, who
is the Competent Authority for selection to Veterinary colleges, will notify the details of selection
process separately. (Annexure J).

2. DEFINITIONS
2.1

"Online Application Form" means prescribed form to be filled Online by the candidate for
appearing at MH-CET 2015. Information submitted by the candidate and stored in the database
with the competent Authority will be consider as valid information.

2.2

Appeal Committee means the Committee setup under the chairmanship of the Competent
Authority, it shall deal with the representations submitted by the candidate(s)/parent(s) relating to
grievances of the candidates with regard to MH-CET-2015 examination and the selection
process.

2.3

Competent Authority means the Authority designated or appointed by Govt. of Maharashtra


to conduct MH-CET 2015, and declare the results. The Competent Authority will supervise and
control the selection process for the admission to Health Science degree courses and act as a
chairperson of the Appeal Committee for representations submitted by the candidates. The
Competent Authority will issue necessary executive instructions for implementation and provide
relevant information to be published or communicated.

2.4

Center in-charge of the District means the District Collector or the officer(s) authorized by
the District Collector.
Council means respective Central Council for Health Science courses.
Defence means services established under the Army Act 1950/ Air force Act1950/ Navy Act
1957.
Divisional Authority means the Dean/Officer(s) of specified Govt. Medical College who will
be responsible to carry out the directions and instructions of the Competent Authority.
"Health Science Courses" means courses affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health
Science(MUHS), Nashik, which include MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BPTh, BOTh,
BP&O, BASLP and BSc Nursing.
Economically Weaker Section (EWS) means EWS as specified and laid down by Govt. of
Maharashtra.
"Government College/Government Institution" - Means college/institution which is governed
or aided by Government of Maharashtra/Central Government/ local self Government i.e
Govt./Govt. aided/Municipal Corporation.
"Private College/Private Institution" - Means College/Institution which is governed by private
management and not aided by Govt. of Maharashtra/Central Government/ local self Government.
Hilly Area (HA) means Hilly Areas as per the resolutions issued by the Government of
Maharashtra from time to time. (Annexure - F)

Intake Capacity in any particular institution/course means the minimum number of seats
permitted by the four Regulatory authorities i.e. Govt. of India, respective Central Council, Govt.
of Maharashtra and MUHS, Nashik.
Maharashtra Karnataka Border (MKB) means Maharashtra Karnataka disputed border area
as set out by Government of Maharashtra. (Annexure-E)
Nomadic Tribes (NT) means Nomadic Tribes as specified and laid down by the Government
of Maharashtra.
Other Backward Class (OBC) means Other Backward Class as specified and laid down by
the Government of Maharashtra.
"Preference Form" means the preprinted form containing essential details of the candidate
along with State Merit List Number, issued to the candidate after the examination. In this form
the candidate has to give his choice of course and college in preferential order for selection to
Health Science Courses.
Person with Disability (PWD) as per the directions issued by Medical Council of India.
Qualifying examination means the examination (i.e. HSC [12th standard] or equivalent
examination) on the basis of result of which a candidate becomes eligible to appear at MH-CET
entrance examination for selection to aforesaid Health Science Courses.
Scheduled Castes (SC) means Scheduled Castes as specified and laid down by the
Government of India and as recognized issued by in the State of Maharashtra.
Scheduled Tribes (ST) means Scheduled Tribes as specified and laid down by the
Government of India and as recognized issued by in the State of Maharashtra.
Special Backward Category (SBC) means Special Backward category as specified and laid
down by the Government of Maharashtra.
Status Retention means the retention of a seat by a candidate, once admitted at a particular
college/institution.
"Sub-Centre Incharge" means the officer incharge of the High School /College where the MH
CET 2015 examination is being conducted.
Vimukta Jati (De-Notified Tribes) (VJ/DT) means Vimukta Jati as specified and laid down
by the Government of Maharashtra.
"NRI Candidate" means a candidate who is to be admitted must him self/her self be NonResident Indian. (Please refer Annexure- P)
"PIO Candidate" means a candidate who is to be admitted must him self /her self be Persons
with Indian Origin.
"OCI Candidate" means a candidate who is to be admitted must him self /her self be Overseas
Citizen of India.

3. SCHEME OF EXAMINATION
3.1

Date of Examination: The examination will be conducted at various centres in Maharashtra on


Thursday, 07th May 2015.

3.2

Schedule & Test Design: The MH-CET-2015 will consist of one question paper Containing 200
Multiple Choice questions (MCQ), each Carrying 1(One) mark and total marks 200. The
distribution of number of questions and marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Zoology &
Botany) is as under:

There is no choice among the questions, i.e. all questions have to be answered. The candidate
desirous of selection to Health Science courses and BVSc & AH should appear for MH CET

3.3

2015. The Candidates will be provided one OMR Answer Sheet and Question Booklet. At the
end of paper, candidate will hand-over the OMR Answer sheet and Question booklet to the
invigilator. No candidate is allowed to leave the examination Hall till the end of examination.
The candidate will be required to mark the correct answer by blackening the corresponding circle
against the serial number of the question in the answer sheet with black ink ballpoint pen only.
Out of four circles provided for selection of an answer against a question, the candidate should fill
up one circle only. Each correct answer will be given 1 (one) mark. There shall be no
negative marking.
CHANGING AN ANSWER IS NOT ALLOWED: The candidates must fully satisfy
themselves about the accuracy of the answer before darkening the appropriate circle, as no change
in the Answer once marked is allowed. The answer once marked is final, any change in the option
once marked, done by any method, will amount to a invalid/incorrect response.

3.4

Candidate should completely darken one and the only one best response (circle)

Candidate should not use any other method for answering i.e. Half circle, dot. tick mark, cross
etc. This may not be read by the scanner. Answer sheet of each candidate will be evaluated by
computerized scanning method only (Optical Mark Reader). There will not be any manual
checking during evaluation and verification.
3.5

Grievance Redressal Committee : A Greviance Redressal Committee will be constituted at each


sub centre comprising following members:

The committee will function from 8.00 am to the end of the examination on the day of
examination. If there is any grievance during this period (regarding loss of time due to
administrative error or any other examination related important matter), the candidate will report
it to the invigilator of his/her examination block. It will be communicated to the sub-centre
incharge through supervisor. The committee will examine the Grievance on the spot and take
necessary decision regarding the Grievance/s.

3.6

If a candidate has objection against any question in the question paper of this examination, the
same may be submitted through website "www.mhcet-exams.co.in", from 25/05/2015 to
28/05/2015. Representation received after this period shall not be considered.

3.7

Syllabus of Examination: Syllabi of Physics, Chemistry and Biology for the MH CET- 2015 will
be the same as for the current year for HSC/ 12th Examination (i.e March 2015) of HSC Board of
Maharashtra.

3.8

Time & duration of Examination: There will be one paper of 3 hours duration. Schedule of
examination - Thursday, 7th May 2015. Time 10.00 AM to 1.00 PM

3.9

Language of Question Paper: The medium for examination shall be English or Marathi or Urdu.
The option once exercised about the medium by the candidate on online application shall be
irrevocable.

3.10 Examination Centre: The MH-CET-2015 will be conducted at all the district headquarters of the
State of Maharashtra. The MH-CET examination center will be within the same district from
where the candidate has passed / is appearing at the qualifying examination i.e. HSC/12th
Standard examination. For the eligible candidates passing qualifying examination from outside
the state of Maharashtra, the Competent Authority shall allot the examination center. The center
once allotted by the Competent Authority shall not be changed under any circumstances. In

the online application form, the facility for choice of distinct of examination center is
available only for the candidates who have passed / appearing HSC 12th / equivalent from
outside the State of Maharashtra.

4. ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO HEALTH SCIENCE DEGREE COURSES


4.1

The candidate must be an Indian National / Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas citizen of
India (OCI). Non Resident India (NRI) are not eligible. (Exception: Annexure J & Annexure
P).

4.2

The candidate must be born on or before 31st December 1998 to be eligible to appear for MHCET-2015. However, for admission to Ayurved and Unani courses, candidate must be born on or
before 1st October 1998. The Birth certificate indicating name of the candidate, Secondary
School Certificate i.e. SSC or equivalent examination certificate or School Leaving
Certificate endorsing the date of birth will constitute a valid proof.

4.3

The candidate must be medically fit and must submit a certificate of medical fitness at the time of
Preference form filling as per proforma (Annexure-I).

4.4

The candidate must have passed the SSC or equivalent examination from an Institution situated in
the state of Maharashtra. (Please refer 4.7, 4.8, Annexure "C", Annexure "E" & Annexure
"P" for exception)

4.5

The candidate must have passed the qualifying examination i.e. Higher Secondary Certificate
(HSC/12th Standard) or equivalent examination, from an Institution situated in the State of
Maharashtra (Please refer 4.7, 4.8, Annexure "C", Annexure "E" & Annexure "P") with
English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) at the time of admission.
4.5.1 Eligibility criteria of Qualifying Examination for various courses
4.5.1.1 For MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BUMS : A candidate belonging to Open Category must have
obtained not less than 50% (i.e. 150 out of 300) marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology
taken together at the HSC (or equivalent) Examination. A candidate belonging to
constitutional reservation (Annex. B) and constitutional reservation with Person with
Disability claim must have obtained not less than 40% (i.e. 120 out of 300) marks in
Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together at the HSC (or equivalent) Examination.
Person with Disability in General category must secure not less than 45% marks in
Physics, Chemistry & Biology (PCB) taken together at the HSC (or equivalent)
Examination.
4.5.1.2 For B Sc. Nursing - A candidate belonging to Open category must have obtained not less
than 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English taken together at HSC (or
equivalent) examination. A candidate belonging to constitutional reservation (Annex. B)
must have obtained not less than 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English
taken together at HSC(or equivalent) Exam.
4.5.1.3 For BHMS, BPTh & BOTh, BASLP & BP&O courses: Clause 4.5.1.1 is not applicable.
Passing grade at HSC/12th Standard or equivalent examination is however necessary.
4.5.1.4 BHMS, BPTh, BOTh candidates who have pass HSC/12th Standard or equivalent
examination with Physic, Chemistry & Biology is however necessary.
4.5.1.5 For admission to BASLP, candidate who has passed 12th standard examination with
Physics, Biology, Chemistry and/or Mathematics and/or Computer Science is eligible.
4.5.1.6 For admission to BP&O candidate who has passed 12th standard examination with
Physics, Chemistry, Biology and / or Mathematics is eligible.
4.5.1.7 The candidate who is appearing for qualifying examination i.e. HSC (or equivalent exam.)
in February/March 2015 is eligible to appear for MH-CET-2015, however they must
fulfill the eligibility condition at Para 4.5 at the time of filling up of the Preference Form.
4.5.1.8 BPMT - Candidates Need not appear for MH-CET-2015 for BPMT course. Admission to
BPMT course will be done on the basis of HSC/12th Standard examination marks. The
admission will conducted at institute level.

4.6

Exception for SSC (10th Std. or equivalent examination) :- Candidate who has passed SSC or
equivalent examination from and institute situated outside Maharashtra State and HSC or
equivalent examination from within Maharashtra State is eligible for seeking admission to the
courses in Health Science provided that he/she is DOMICILE of Maharashtra.

4.7

Exception for SSC (10th) and HSC (12th) or equivalent examinations: Children of employees
of the Government of Maharashtra or its Undertaking :-

Children of employees of the Government of Maharashtra or its Undertaking posted on deputation or


transfer to a place outside the State of Maharashtra, or transferred from outside to a place situated within
the State of Maharashtra:1. The children of such employees of Government of Maharashtra or its undertaking who have
joined service since beginning at a place situated outside the State of Maharashtra but who have
been transferred to a place situated within the State of Maharashtra shall be eligible for admission
even though such children might have passed the S.S.C.(Std. X) and/or H.S.C. (Std.XII) or
equivalent exam from the recognized Institutions situated outside the State of Maharashtra,
provided that such an employee of Government of Maharashtra or its Undertaking must have
been posted/ transferred/ deputed at a place of work located in the State of Maharashtra and also
must have reported-for-duty i.e. joined the duty before the last date of submission of Preference
Form.
2. The candidates belonging to the aforesaid category at (1) shall be required to produce the requisite
Certificate from the Office at which such an employee of Government of Maharashtra or its
Undertaking has reported for duty as a proof that such employee has joined the office and/or
reported for duty before the cut off date for eligibility i.e. the last date of submission of Preference
Form. The certificate should contain full name of the employee, designation, transfer/posting
order number and date, date of joining and present status of posting. A copy of transfer/posting
order should also be produced at the time of filling the preference form.
3. The children of such employees of Government of Maharashtra or its Undertaking who have been
transferred or deputed to a place situated outside the State of Maharashtra or who have returned to
the State of Maharashtra after initial transfer/deputation shall be eligible for admission even
though such children might have passed the S.S.C. (Std. X) and/or H.S.C. (Std. XII) or equivalent
examinations from the recognized Institutions situated outside the State of Maharashtra.
4. The candidates belonging to the aforesaid category at (3) above shall be required to produce the
requisite Certificate from the Office at which such an employee of Government of Maharashtra or
its Undertaking has reported for duty. The certificate should contain full name of the employee,
designation, transfer order number and date, date of joining and present status of posting. A copy
of transfer order should also be produced at the time of filling the preference form.
4.8 Exception for SSC (10th) and HSC (12th) or equivalent examinations: Children of employees
of Government of India or its Undertaking:1. The children of the employees of Government of India or its Undertaking shall be eligible for
admission even though they might have passed the S.S.C. (Std.X) and/or H.S.C. (Std. XII) or
equivalent exam from the recognized Institutions situated outside the State of Maharashtra,
provided that such an employee of Government of India or its Undertaking must have been
transferred and posted at a place of work, located in the State of Maharashtra and also must
have reported for duty i.e. joined the duty before the last date of submission of Preference
Form.
2. The candidates belonging to the aforesaid category (1) shall be required to produce the
requisite Certificate from the Office at which such an employee of Government of India or its
Undertaking has reported for duty as a proof of the fact that such employee has joined the
office and/or reported for duty before the cut-off date for eligibility i.e., the last date of
submission of Preference Form. The certificate should contain full name of the employee,

CET-Marks Eligibility For Admission to MBBS & BDS Courses:


A candidate belonging to open category must secure not less than 50% marks in Physics,
Chemistry & Biology (PCB) taken together at Common Entrance Test i.e. MH-CET-2015. A
candidate belonging to constitutional reservation (Annexure B) and constitutional reservation
with Person with Disability (PWD) must secure not less than 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry &
Biology (PCB) taken together in the MH-CET-2015. Person with Disability in General category
must secure not less than 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology (PCB) taken together in
the MH-CET-2015.
CET Marks for Admission to BAMS/BHMS/BUMS/BPTh/BOTh/BASLP/BP&O and B.Sc.
Nursing:
A candidate will be selected on the basis of merit in Common Entrance Test (MH-CET-2015) to
above stated courses.
Additional Eligibility For BUMS:
Candidate should have passed SSC (or equivalent) examination from the recognized board with
Urdu or Arabic or Persian Language as one of the subject.
Cut-off date for the eligibility: The eligibility of the candidate shall be determined and/or
decided for all purposes including for applicability of all these Rules and Regulations by
considering the last date of submission of Preference Form as the cut-off date. It is made
abundantly clear that if a candidate is found ineligible as on the last date of submission of
preference form, in terms of these Rules and Regulations, and if such an ineligible candidate
acquires the requisite eligibility after the aforesaid cut-off date (i.e. the last date of submission of
preference form), such subsequent acquisition of eligibility will not make an ineligible candidate
eligible for any purpose whatsoever, much less for the purpose of admission.
The selected candidates who have cancelled their admission after the cut-off-date declared by the
respective central councils for the admission to Health Science Courses in the year/(s),2013-14
and 2014-15, by the Competent Authority (NEET UG-2013 and MH CET 2014) are not eligible
to appear at MH-CET 2015. Notwithstanding anything stated in the rule here-in-above, a
candidate, who was allotted a seat in any course under MUHS Nashik in previous year(s) and who
failed to join or vacated / abandoned it after availing the said seat, or has completed such a period
of course which would result into lapse of the said seat, will not be eligible for appearing at MHCET examination and admission for the next two years.
Penalty for lapse of seat (MBBS/BDS Course): Any candidate responsible for lapse of
MBBS/BDS seat will have to pay a penalty of Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupee Ten Lacs Only). This
penalty is applicable to all those candidates who do not join during last round or cancel a seat after
last round of admission. This penalty is also applicable to the candidate resigning a seat after cutoff date for MBBS/BDS course or also fails to complete the course and also applicable to
candidates who cancel the admission after prescribed date to be notified by Competent Authority.
If admission is cancelled on medical grounds after cut-off date, the Competent Authority

6. ONLINE APPLICATION FORM & INFORMATION BROCHURE :- The information brochure
for MH CET 2015 is available on web site "www.dmer.org". Candidate is advised to download and
print the brochure. For submission of online application form the candidates should login
"www.mhcet-exams.co.in" website. The detail procedure for online submission of application form &
registration is as follows.
6.1 Procedure for MHCET 2015 Registration and payment through State Bank of India (SBI)
branches
A candidate has to first register for MHCET 2015 at "www.mhcet-exams.co.in" and only then he / she
can make the payment at the branches of SBI.
6.1.1 MHCET 2015 Registration: In order to register online, the candidate has to visit the website

"www.mhcet-exams.co.in" and click MHCET 2015 Registration. The MHCET2015 Registration


page opens up wherein he/she has to fill-in the online form. The information to be provided
includes personal details and uploading of your recent colour passport photograph and signature.
6.1.2 Filling of online application form: The candidate will be prompted to enter his/her valid email

id, mobile No. and a password on the first login. All these three must be carefully noted and
retained by the candidate for all future correspondence with MHCET Office, downloading
MHCET Admit card etc.
The candidate can continue and complete his/ her filling up of educational details.
6.1.3 TO UPLOAD PHOTOGRAPHS AND SIGNATURES

Please note that all the applicants are required to upload their scanned/digital recent colour
photograph and signature. File size of each of the Photograph and Signature should not be more
than 50 KB per file. The online application system will not allow to upload files larger than 50
KB. All Candidates have to upload his/ her Photograph and Signature only in "Jpeg" format
and file name of Photograph and signature should preferably be photo.jpeg and sign.jpeg
respectively.
For Uploading photograph

Take your recent colour passport size photograph. The picture should be taken against a light/white
background. In case the face on the photograph is not clear , your application is liable to be rejected.
Candidate should upload such scanned/digital photograph.

File size of each of the Photograph should not be more than 50 KB per file, otherwise it will not
be allowed by the System to upload.

To reduce the size, crop the image of the passport size photograph in MS Paint or any other Photo
Editor.
Please ensure that only the full face portion is cropped and not the entire photograph.

For Uploading Signature

The candidate himself/herself should sign (no capital letters) on a white paper with a black ink pen.
Scan the signature in 200 dpi( dots per inch) scanner resolution settings and the file size should be
less than 50 kb in jpeg format.
To reduce the size, crop the image of the signature in MS Paint or any other Photo Editor. Please
ensure that only the signature portion is cropped and not the entire A4 paper on which you have
signed.
Once photograph and signature files are uploaded by the candidate successfully, the system will
show on the screen Photograph and Signature that has been uploaded. If these have been
correctly uploaded, you should now proceed further to generate the bank challan for the
payment through 'State Bank of India'.

How to ensure that the Photograph and Signature are within 50 KB per file?

Please open the digital or scanned photograph or signature in MS Paint by right clicking the
photograph or signature.

Press Ctrl + W, a window will open which will have an option 'resize by %'. Here enter anything
between 10 to 50% and save the file with an extension .jpeg.
Check for the size of the file in 'properties'. If the file size is still higher than 50 KB, once again
open in paint and resize it to bring it down to less than 50KB.
Repeat this process till the file size is less than 50 KB.

Save this file with the file Name as mentioned above as photo.jpeg and sign.jpeg
6.1.4 Downloading Bank Challan: The candidate has to download and print the MHCET bank challan

on an A4 size paper on a single page. Please adjust your printer settings suitably to take the print
on an A4 size paper. The bank challan will have MHCET2015 Registration No., Name of the
candidate, address, phone number and date of registration, printed on it. The printed bank challan
is in two parts. You have to take this bank challan to the SBI branch.
6.1.5 Payment of fees at State Bank of India (SBI) Branch: The candidate has to take this printed

registration. Please tender Rs 800.00 + Rs 60.00 Bank Commission for Open Candidates and
Rs 600.00 + Rs 60.00 Bank Commission for Reservation Category Candidates. On the printed
bank challan, the bank will enter the date of payment, Journal No/Bank Transaction ID, Branch
Name & Code and put a bank seal on each part of the bank challan. The bank will retain the
Banks copy of the bank challan and return the rest of the bank challan to the candidate.
6.1.6 Completion of online application Form: The candidate should visit "www.mhcet-exams.co.in"

and logs in MHCET2015 registration using his/her MHCET 2015 Registration No and password
after 24 hours of making the payment. Please confirm whether the Bank transaction ID No. and
date of payment have been updated. If it has been, click on the generate MHCET Confirmation
Page. A Confirmation Page will open up. Please save this page and also take a print out of the
same. This completes the Registration process.
6.1.7 MHCET 2015 Registration No.& Password: The candidate is advised to keep a copy of the

Bank challan, MH CET2015 Registration Confirmation Page printout. He/she should note the
MHCET Registration No. and password for all future correspondence with MHCET Office.
6.1.8 Generation of Admit Card: Candidate should visit website "www.mhcet-exams.co.in" any time

between 27th April 2015 and 06th May 2015 and take a print out of the same where candidate's
MHCET 2015 Roll No., the address of the Examination centre will be mentioned.
6.1.9 Important Notes

Once you finish your registration for MHCET 2015 you shall be provided with a unique
MHCET 2015 Registration No.& password.

6.2

FLOW CHART OF MHCET 2015 REGISTRATION PROCESS


Visit MHCET 2015 website and click Registration link. Fill following information,
"Personal information, Contact information, Reservation, Educational details and MHCET details"
Create own password and click NEXT. The candidate receives an email confirming the registration.(Future Login
will be allowed with your Registration ID and password).

On the next screen, upload your scanned photograph and signature. Uploaded files are displayed on screen. Click
SUBMIT to confirm or RELOAD to change the images.
Applicant is required to upload his/her scanned digital photograph and signature in jpeg format only.

Link is displayed to generate the Bank Challan. Take a print of the Challan and make payment at any of the
SBI branches after 48hrs of registration.
The last date of fee acceptance at SBI branches is 26th March 2015

You must end your session properly by clicking on LOGOUT


button after completing the steps above.

Login after 24 hours of making the payment for confirming your payment details in your profile and
generate the MHCET Registration Confirmation Page. Save and Print the same for future reference.
You are not required to send this to MHCET office

Your admit card will be available for download from 27/04/2015 onwards.

6.3

The facility of online submission of application form will be closed on 24/03/2015 at 4.00 pm., to
avoid last minute rush, candidates are requested to submit the online application form well in
advance without waiting for last date. The last date for submission online application form will
not be extended under any circumstances. After satisfactory submission of online application form
if payment is not made on or before 26/03/2015 in the bank, the candidates will not be eligible for
this examination.
The center for examination will be allotted by competent Authority and it will be district
place where the candidate passed /appearing HSC / 12th equivalent examination. In the online
application form facility for choice of examination center is available only for candidates pass/
appearing HSC/12th equivalent examination from outside the State of Maharashtra. A specimen
copy of online application form is available in information brochure as shown is Annexure "N"

6.4

The candidates desirous of claiming the constitutional and / or specified reservations must have
claimed the same in the original online application form of MH-CET 2015, failing which the
claim will not be entertained subsequently. A candidate belonging to backward class from
Maharashtra state only, is eligible for claiming seat under reserved category. (Refer Annexure-B)
6.4.1 If the cast validity certificate (CVC) is pending or Non creamy layer certificate (NCL) is
pending, still the candidate must claim the Constitutional Reservation in original online

application form. In case of Non production of CVC/NCL, the candidate will be
automatically considered in general category at the time of preference form filling. Request
for giving claim from general category to reserve category will not be entertained at any
stage during the process.
6.4.2 Candidate desirous of specified reservation i.e. Person with Disability (PWD), Defence -1,
Defence -2, Defence -3 Hilly Area, MKB and exemption under 4.7 & 4.8 must have
claimed same in the online application form of MH-CET 2015, failing which the claim will
not be entertained subsequently.
6.5

An incomplete application form will be rejected. Application form sent by post/courier will be
rejected. The candidate shall submit one and only one application form. In case, candidate submits
more than one application form. The last submitted online application form along with payment
will be treated as valid.

6.6 Admit Card:


The Admit Cards will be downloaded from "www.mhcet-exams.co.in" website after login during
27/04/2015 to 06/05/2015. Candidate has to appear for examination with downloaded Admit Card
and any Photo ID proof (School / College Identity Card, Pass port).
Issue of Admit Card is merely an enabling document for appearing at the MH CET 2015
and does not imply that the candidate satisfies all the requirements of eligibility conditions
of admission to health Science Courses.

7. CERTIFICATES
No original certificates or their attested photocopies are required to be submitted along with online
application form. However, the following certificates in original and their attested photocopies must
be submitted for scrutiny at the time of filling the preference form, as well as at the time of
admission.
7.1

Photo ID proof School / College Identity Card, Identity Card/Adhar card/Admit Card (any
one) and Mark sheet of MH-CET 2015 Examination.

7.2

Nationality Certificate issued by District Magistrate/Addl. District Magistrate or


Metropolitan Magistrate (Competent Authority for issue of such certificate)/valid Indian
Passport or School Leaving Certificate of HSC/12th Std. indicating the nationality of the
candidate as Indian.

7.3

Domicile Certificate issued by District Magistrate/Metropolitan Magistrate/ Addl. District


Magistrate or Tehsildar. (Please refer 4.7, 4.8 & Annexure "C" for exception.)

8. PREPARATION OF MERIT LIST AND DECLARATION OF RESULT


The Competent Authority will conduct the examination, evaluate the answer sheets and declare the
result. The result will be declared on websites of DMER i.e. www.dmer.org on or before 05/6/2015.
The result will be declared in pertange on the website.
8.1

After the examination question booklet of all versions will be made available on website
"www.dmer.org" from 18/05/2015. Provisional Answer key of each version will be made
available on website "www.dmer.org " from 20/05/2015. The OMR Answer sheet of all the
candidates will be made available on "www.mhcet-exams.co.in" website from 25/05/2015. The
OMR Sheet will be available to each candidate after entering Password and Registration ID as
mentioned in flow chart of registration process. (Refer rule no 6.2)

8.2

Preparation of Merit List for Selection to Health Science Courses


Marks obtained by the candidate at the MH-CET-2015 will be corrected with additional
weightage for the circumstances/activities stated at Annexure-G and State Merit List indicating
State merit number, regional merit number, categorywise merit number, will be prepared on the
basis of such corrected marks, in descending order of merit.

8.3

The downloadable mark sheet will be made available on website "www.mhcet-exams.co.in" from
13/06/2015 till the last date of filling up of preference form.

8.4

Tie-breakers
In case of equal corrected marks at the MH-CET-2015, the following procedure shall be adopted
for deciding inter-se merit,
First level:

A candidate with higher total of uncorrected marks in Physics, Chemistry and


Biology at the MH-CET-2015 shall be preferred, if the tie still persists, then:

8.5

Verification of Marks Obtained at MH-CET 2015: If a candidate desires to get his/her Answer
sheet evaluation verified, an application in prescribed proforma (Annexure L), along with self
addressed unstamped envelope (9X 4.5) should be submitted to any Divisional Authority,
within 4 days of declaration of the result of MH-CET-2015, along with Demand Draft/Pay Order
of Rs.1000/- (Rs. One Thousand only) drawn on any scheduled commercial bank in favour of
Director of Medical Education & Research, Mumbai, payable at Mumbai.
The candidate will be sent photocopy of the Answer sheet and model answer key, after due
verification by the Competent Authority through registered post.
Representations received after the specified period will not be entertained. The change if any,
shall be communicated to the candidate. The decision of the Competent Authority in this matter
shall be final and binding.

8.6

The Rules and Regulation/procedure stated herein is applicable for MH-CET-2015 examination
and selection to Health Science Courses for the academic year 2015-2016. No promise is implied
herein for the subsequent years and no expectations should be based on this for future.

9. REVALUATION OF HSC OR EQUIVALENT EXAMINATION MARKS


If the marks of a candidate at HSC (or equivalent) examination have been revised on revaluation, the
eligibility of the candidate may be altered. The candidate will be permitted to avail the benefit of revised
marks upto the last date of filling up of Preference Form, subject to his/her representation to that effect
to the Competent Authority and production of necessary proof to the satisfaction of the latter.

10. Seats Allocation to All India Quota and seats earmarked for the "central pool scheme"
Among all the seats available in Health Science Courses at all Government/Municipal Corporation and
Government aided Health Science institutions, AIPMT quota and seats earmarked for the "central pool
scheme" are allocated as follows,
10.1 AIPMT Quota : At present 15% seats in each Government and Municipal Corporation Medical
(MBBS) and Dental (BDS) Colleges are contributed to All India Quota. All India quota seats
(15% AIPMT Quota seats / Surrendered back to the state shall retain their original Character filled
in by 30% state quota All India Quota will retain their original Category character. All India
Quota surrendered Seats having OBC character will be allotted to MH CET candidates, of VJ,
NT1, NT2, NT3 and OBC Category candidate (group together) as per interse merit.
10.2 Seats Earmarked For The "Central Pool Scheme": Fifteen (15) seats in Govt. Medical Colleges,
Three (3) seats in Govt. Dental Colleges and Five (5) seats (BAMS) in Govt. Ayurved Colleges
are filled by the Ministry of Health and Family welfare, Government of India, Nirman Bhavan,
New Delhi as a seats earmarked for the, central pool scheme. Any Vacancies under "central pool
scheme" shall be filled in by 30% OPEN category candidate from State Merit List. The Ministry
of Health & Family Welfare is maintaining a Central Pool of MBBS/BDS seats by seeking
voluntary contribution of various States/UTs having Medical/Dental Colleges and institutions.
The seats collected in the Central Pool from the States/UT Governments/Institutions are in turn
allocated to the States/UTs which are not having Medical/Dental Colleges of their own and to
certain other Ministries/Departments like Ministry of External Affairs, Defence, Home Affairs,
Human Resources Development and Cabinet Secretariat to mean their needs. The Eligible
candidates seeking admission/nomination against seats earmarked for Central Pool Scheme need
to apply directly to the authorities concerned (Mentioned Below) and not to the
institution/college/university where seats are earmarked for the Central Pool scheme. The eligible
candidates should not apply for such seats to Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government

10.3 The scheme of seat distribution for State Quota seats will be published in the information

11. LEGAL JURISDICTION


All disputes pertaining to the conduct of examination and selection shall fall within the jurisdiction of
Courts, at Mumbai only. The Competent Authority shall be the legal person in whose name the
Government of Maharashtra may sue or may be sued.

12. CONDUCT AND DISCIPLINE


12.1 Failure of the candidate in entering full and correct information in the online application form
and/or suppression of any information would lead to disqualification of the candidate for MHCET 2015 or even at later date. Such a candidate will be debarred from the examination / entire
selection process.
12.2 Adopting an unfair means or engaging in malpractice in the examination shall render a candidate
liable for punishment under, Maharashtra Prevention of Malpractices Act, Universities, Board
and Other Specified Examination Act, 1982 and disqualify him/her for MH-CET-2015
examination.
12.3 If any person(s) or officer(s) dealing with the conduct of the MH-CET-2015 are found engaged
in act(s) that would result in the leakage of question paper or attempt to use or help in the use of
unfair means in this examination, he/she shall be liable to prosecution under Indian Penal Code.
12.4 As per Government Resolution (G.R. No. MED 1007/CR-490/07/Ed-2 dated 8th Feb 2008 and
any G.R issued in this regard from time to time), candidates joined against the seats of
Government/Municipal Corporation colleges for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses either
through GOI nominee, All India quota or through MH CET 2015 will be required to sign a bond
to serve the Government of Maharashtra or local self government or Defence services for a
period of one year, failing which he/she will be required to pay Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees ten lacs
only) for the default. Additionally, he/she will be required to sign an undertaking to the effect
that he/she will not leave India within a period of five years from the date of obtaining the
degree, otherwise he/she will have to pay Rs. 10,00,000/- (Rs.Ten lacs only) as penalty.
13.
Any issue not dealt here-in above will be dealt with, when arising, fully and finally by the
competent authority. Any amendments made by Government of Maharashtra from time to time will
be implemented.

2) Candidates belonging to aforesaid Backward Class categories will be required to submit the Caste

3) Caste certificate issuing authority: - Caste certificate stating that the caste is recognized under a
particular backward class category in Maharashtra state is issued by Sub-Divisional Magistrate /
Executive Magistrate /Metropolitan Magistrate in Maharashtra state.
4) The Caste/Tribe validity Certificate Issuing Authorities are as follows:a) For Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Caste converts to Buddhism, Vimukta Jati

b) For Candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribe the Tribe Validity Certificate is issued by
Commissioner/Jt. Commissioner, Tribe Scrutiny Committee of respective Region [Kokan
(Thane), Pune, Nashik, Aurangabad, Amravati, Nagpur, Nandurbar and Gadchiroli].
5) The candidates who have claimed the Constitutional Reservation in the original Application
Form must submit Caste Validity Certificate at the time of filling the Preference Form, failing
which the category claim, will not be granted.
6) NON-CREAMY LAYER
A candidate belonging to Creamy Layer amongst the categories (iii), (iv), (v), (vi) and (vii) must note
that the provision of reservation is NOT applicable to him/her. A candidate claiming benefit of
reservation under the categories (iii), (iv), (v), (vi) and (vii) above will be required to produce NonCreamy Layer Certificate in the name of candidate as specified in the Government resolution No.
lhchlh 10$2008$iz-dz-697$ekod] fnukad 13$01$2009- The certificate in prescribed proforma
(Annexure - H) stating that it is valid upto 31/3/2016 should be submitted at the time of filling up of
Preference Form. The Non-Creamy Layer Certificate is issued by Sub-Divisional Officer/Deputy
Collector/Collector of the district.
However, such a Non-Creamy Layer Certificate shall be produced in any case on or before the last
date of filling up of Preference Form, failing which the category claim will not be granted.
Applicants belonging to Special Backward Category
N.B.: As per Government Circular from Social Welfare, Cultural Affairs and Sports Department No. CBC1095/WS/264/BCW-5 dated 24th October 1995, the persons belonging to Special Backward Category (SBC) are
to be considered as OBC candidates.
Admission under constitutional reservation seat will be governed by the Maharashtra Schedule Castes,
Scheduled Tribes, Denotified Tribes (Vimukta Jatis), Nomadic Tribes, Other Backward Classes and Special
Backward Category (Regulation of Issuance and Verification of) Caste Certificate Act, 2000 (Mah. Act No.XXIII
of 2001). Candidates are instructed to note following provisions of the said act;
Para 10: (Benefits secured on the basis of false Caste Certificate to be withdrawn)
(1) Whoever not being a person belonging to any of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, De-notified
Tribes, (Vimukta Jatis), Nomadic Tribes, Other Backward Classes or Special Backward Category secures
admission in any educational institution against a seat reserved for such Castes, Tribes or Classes, or
secures any appointment in the Government, local authority or in any other company of Corporation,

owned or controlled by the Government or in any Government aided institution or Co-Operative Society
against a post reserved for such Castes, Tribes or Classes by producing a false Caste Certificate shall, on
cancellation of the Caste Certificate by the Scrutiny Committee, be liable to be debarred from the
concerned educational institution, or as the case may be, discharged from the said employment forthwith
and any other benefits enjoyed or derived by virtue of such admission or appointment by such person as
aforesaid shall be withdrawn forthwith.
(2) Any amount paid to such person by the Government or any other agency by way of scholarship, grant,
allowance or other financial benefit shall be recovered from such person as an arrears of land revenue.7
(3) Notwithstanding anything contained in any Act for the time being in force, any Degree, Diploma or any
other educational qualification acquired by such person after securing admission in any educational
institution on the basis of a Caste Certificate which is subsequently proved to be false shall also stand
cancelled, on cancellation of such Caste Certificate, by the Scrutiny Committee.
(4) Notwithstanding anything contained in any law for the time being in force, a person shall be disqualified
for being a member of any statutory body if he has contested the election for local authority, Cooperative Society or any statutory body on the seat reserved for any of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled
Tribes, De-notified Tribes, (Vimukt jatis), Nomadic Tribes, Other Backward Classes or Special
Backward Category by procuring a false Caste Certificate as belonging to such Caste, Tribe or Class on
such false Caste Certificate being cancelled by the Scrutiny Committee; and any benefits obtained by
such person shall be recoverable as arrears of land revenue and the election of such person shall be
deemed to have been terminated retrospectively.
Para 11: (Offences & Penalties)
(1) Whoever,(a) Obtains a false Caste Certificate by furnishing false information or filing false statements or documents
or any other fraudulent means ; or
(b) not being a person belonging to any of the Scheduled Tribes, De-notified Tribes, (Vimukt jatis),
Nomadic Tribes, Other Backward Classes or Special Backward Category secures any benefits or
appointment exclusively reserved for such Castes, Tribes or Classes in the Government, local authority
or any other company or corporation owned or controlled by the Government or in any Government
aided institution, or secures admission in any educational institution against a seat exclusively reserved
for such Castes, Tribes or Classes or is elected to any of the elective offices of local authority or Cooperative Society against the office, reserved for such Castes, Tribes of Classes by producing a false
Caste Certificate; shall, on conviction, be punished , with rigorous imprisonment for a term which shall
not be less than six months but which may extent up to two years or with fine which shall not be less
than two thousand rupees, but which may extend up to twenty thousand rupees or both.
(2) No court shall take cognizance of an offence punishable under this section except upon a complaint, in
writing, made by the scrutiny Committee or by any other officer duly authorized by the Scrutiny Committee for
this purpose.
Para 12: (Offences under Act to be cognizable & non-bailable)
Notwithstanding anything contained in the Code of Criminal Procedure; 1973 -(a) offence punishable under section 11 shall be cognizable and non-bailable;
(b) every offence punishable under this Act, shall be tried by any Magistrate of First Class in a summery
way and provisions of sections 262except sub-section(2) to 265 both inclusive of this Code shall as for as
possible may be applied to such trial.
Para 13: (Penalty for issuing false Caste Certificate)
(1) Any person or authority performing the functions of Competent Authority under this act, who
intentionally issues of false Caste Certificate shall earn conviction, be punished with rigorous
imprisonment for a term which shall not be less than six months but which may extend up to two years or
with fine which shall not be less than two thousand rupees, but which may extend up to twenty thousand
rupees or both.
(2) No court shall take cognizance of an offence punishable under this section except with the previous
sanction of the Government.
Para 14: (Penalty for abatement)
Whoever abets any offence punishable under this Act shall be punished with the punishment provided for
in this Act for such offence.

CHILDREN OF DEFENCE PERSONNEL
A specified number of seats i.e. 5% of the intake capacity, subject to a maximum of 5 seats in each Government/
Municipal Corporation /Government Aided Medical, Dental/ Ayurved ,Unani Colleges and some allied Health Science
courses are reserved for children of Defence Service Personnel and Ex-Defence personnel, including those permanently
disabled or killed in action. The ratio of these seats between Ex-defence and In-service Defence personnel is as given

1) DEFENCE CATEGORIES
(a) Def1 - For a son/daughter/spouse of an Ex-defence service personnel, domiciled in the state of Maharashtra.
(b) Def2 - For a son/daughter/spouse of Active defence service personnel domiciled in the state of Maharashtra.
(c) Def3 - For a son/daughter/spouse of Active defence service personnel, transferred to Maharashtra State from
out-side Maharashtra, who is not domicile of the State of Maharashtra.
2) For selection against Def-1 & Def-2 seats following conditions will apply;
a)

To be eligible for such a seat, a candidate must be a son/daughter/spouse of a person who has been a member
of the Armed Forces of India and who has put in at least 5 years active service and has been subject to Indian
Army Act, Indian Navy Act or Indian Air Force Act; and includes an ex-serviceman who has retired from
such service or was permanently disabled/killed in action. A candidate claiming a seat under Defence
category will be required to produce a certificate from an Appropriate Authority, who is authorized to issue
such certificate/Zilla Sainik Board in the State of Maharashtra certifying the same.

b) However, the condition of minimum active service for five years will stand relaxed in case of Defence service
person who has been permanently disabled or killed in action. The exception is admissible subject to
production of a certificate from Zilla Sainik Board in the State of Maharashtra certifying permanent
disability/death of such Defence Service person.
c)

To be eligible for seat in Def-1 & Def-2 category candidate should produce following certificates, i)
Certificate mentioning that his / her parent who is/was defence personnel ii) Domicile certificate of the parent
stating that he/she is domicile in the State of Maharashtra. The domicile certificate should be obtained from
District Magistrate/Metropolitan Magistrate/ Addl. District Magistrate or Tehsildar.

d) Candidates belonging Def-1 & Def-2 category shall be considered eligible for admission even if they have
passed SSC and /or HSC examination from outside Maharashtra State.
3) For selection against Def.-3 category following conditions shall apply:(a) The concerned Defence Service person who is not domicile of the State of Maharashtra and who has been
transferred in public interest to Maharashtra State, prior to the last date for filling up of Preference Form.
(b) The concerned Defence Service person ought to be working as on the last date of filling of Preference Form,
at a place within the jurisdiction of the concerned regional area in Maharashtra in which the candidate is
seeking a seat.
(c) The candidate ought to have appeared and passed the qualifying examination.
(d) The candidate is required to attach necessary and sufficient proof to fulfil above conditions and a certificate in
proforma issued by appropriate authority who is authorized to issue such certificate.
Note: The specified reservation for children of defence personnel is not applicable to the civilian staff working
in the Indian Army, Navy & Air Force.

PERSON WITH DISABILITY (PWD)
1) As per Graduate Medical Education Regulation 1997 and Amendment Notification No. MCI34(41)/2008-Med./ 54469 Dated 25th March 2009, and MCI guidelines letter No.MCI-34(1)/2003Med/11773, dated 14/7/2003 following is the criteria for reservation under Physically Handicapped
Category.
3% seats of the annual sanctioned intake capacity shall be filled up by candidates with locomotory
disability of lower limbs between 50% to 70%.
Provided that in case any seat in this 3% quota remains unfilled on account of unavailability of
candidates with locomotory disability of lower limbs between 50% to 70% then any such unfilled seat in
this 3% quota shall be filled up by persons with locomotory disability of lower limbs between 40% to
50% - before they are included in the annual sanctioned seats for State Quota candidates.
Provided further that this entire exercise shall be completed by each medical college/institution as per the
statutory time schedule for admissions and in no case any admission will be made in the Medical course
after 30th of September
2) The Candidate with a disability more than 70% will not be eligible for admission to Health Sciences
Courses. No other disability shall be allowed as per the MCI regulations. However, such a candidate will
be required to undergo medical examination by a Special Medical Board constituted for this purpose by
the Competent Authority. The Special Medical Board will ascertain and certify the disability and will
also ascertain and certify that he/she is physically fit to undergo the course despite the disability.
3) Verification of the disability will be carried out by Special Medical Board constituted for this purpose by
Competent Authority and decision of the Special Medical Board will be final. The date and place of
Special Medical Board shall be communicated by the way of notification.

MAHARASHTRA-KARNATAKA DISPUTED BORDER AREA (MKB)
RESERVATION
Eight seats in Government Medical Colleges, two seats in Government Dental Colleges and five seats in
Government and Govt. aided Ayurvedic Colleges in Maharashtra are reserved for the candidates belonging
to Maharashtra-Karnataka Disputed border area on the following conditions:
a) The candidate must be a domicile of place situated in the areas as specified in the list given below, and
produce a domicile certificate from the District Collector accordingly.
b) He should have passed SSC (or equivalent) and/or HSC (or equivalent) examination from an Institution
situated in the border area. The candidate must produce a certificate from the Principal/Head-Master of
the College/School stating that candidate has passed SSC/HSC (or equivalent) examination from the
Institution.
c) Mother tongue of the candidate must be Marathi. The candidate must produce a certificate from the
Principal/Head-Master of the School from which he/she has passed the SSC (or equivalent)
examination, stating that the candidates mother tongue is Marathi as per the original school record.

ANNEXURE - F
HILLY AREA (HA) RESERVATION
As per G.R. No.MED-1003/CR 641/03/Edu-2, dated 16/3/2004, 3% seats at Govt. / Municipal
Corporation Medical colleges are reserved for the candidates from Hilly areas.
In accordance with G.R. issued by the Govt. of Maharashtra MED Dept. G.R. No. MED-1002/3852/CR617/02/Edu-2, dated 17/4/2003 and resolutions issued by Govt. of Maharashtra from time to time, the
candidates claiming seat under HA claim should satisfy following criteria to be eligible:
i) Domicile Certificate of the parent stating that he/she is domicile in the village declared as a Hilly area
specified in the Table for the respective Regions (Rest of Maharashtra/Vidarbha /Marathwada). The
said certificate should be obtained from the concerned Revenue Department officer (Tehsildar and
Above).
ii) To avail the benefit of HA claim, the candidate must appear at MH-CET-2015 examination.
iii) The Competent Authority shall select the candidates claiming HA, on the basis of their Merit at MHCET-2015 examination.
iv) The constitutional reservation is provided under these HA claim seats.
v) The candidate should pass SSC/HSC (or equivalent) examination from School/Junior College situated
in the hilly area of his/her parents domicile or if not so, at the most, from a School/Junior College
situated in the taluka of his/her parent's domicile.
vi) Only the areas mentioned in the latest information provided by the concerned department and
uploaded by the competent authority on the website "www.dmer.org" will be considered for the HA
claim. The students are specially informed that the corrections if any in the HA area name
mentioned in the list should be done by the students from the concerned department for HA claim.

ADDITIONAL WEIGHTAGE CLAIM
Benefit of additional marks is restricted to 1% of maximum obtainable marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the MH-CET-2014 i. e.
2 marks per category and/or 2 marks per sports/game as stated bellow, subject to the condition that the total number of additional marks
under all the headings together, for consideration of weightage shall be limited to a maximum of 4% of maximum obtainable marks at the
MH-CET-2014 i.e. 8 marks.

The certificate/s required for additional weightage claim must reach to the Competent Authority at Mumbai on or before the
notified date, failing which the claim will not be granted.

SPORTS
A candidate claiming the benefit of representing his/her Institution and actually participating in an inter-Institutional
tournament/competition organized at State/National level between the period of his/her passing of SSC (or equivalent)
examination and HSC (or equivalent) examination, in any of the following games will be given additional marks (2 marks
per sports/game as listed below) as specified, provided he/she is,
a) Member of the team that participated in the tournament and won the finals.
and /or
b) Winner of the Championship in games where there is individual participation.

For the claim of above weightage, a certificate from the organizers and from the Director of Sports, Pune or an Officer not below the
rank of Under Secretary to Government of India who is authorized to issue such a certificate, should be submitted. compulsorily

HYDERABAD / GOA LIBERATION MOVEMENT PARTICIPANTS (HGL) CATEGORY: 1% i.e 2 Addition of


marks will be considered if the candidate is a son / daughter of a participant or the child of the deceased son / daughter of the
participant in Hyderabad / GOA Liberation Movement. The candidate must submit certificate from the Commissioner of
Police/District Magistrate /Jail Authority, stating therein that the parent had participated in Hyderabad/Goa Liberation
Movement and was imprisoned for six months or more.

FREEDOM FIGHTER (FF) CATEGORY: 1% i.e 2 Addition of Marks will be considered if the candidate is a son/daughter
of a Freedom Fighter or the child of deceased son/daughter of the freedom fighter.
The candidate must submit certificate from the District Magistrate of the District in which the Freedom Fighter was sentenced
to jail or has suffered in any other manner as mentioned in paragraph 4, Appendix (A) accompanying Government Resolution,
Education and Social Welfare Department, No MIS-1465/R dated 23rd November 1965. The Certificate must specify that the
period of imprisonment was not less than one month; or fine of not less than Rs. 100/- or death in action; or award of Sanmanpatra.

NATIONAL CADET CORPS (NCC) CATEGORY: 1% i.e 2 Addition of marks will be considered, if a candidate has been
a member of the NCC during the period between his passing SSC (or equivalent) and HSC (or equivalent) examination;
and is in possession of B Certificate subject to the candidate having either represented the State at All India Level or put in
two years in NCC with at least 70% attendance
The Candidate must directly submit attested photocopies of the certificate(s) from concerned authority, in support of the claim,
on or before the notified date, to the Competent Authority, failing which, the claim for additional weightage will not be

Introduction :

The Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University, Nagpur has been constituted under section
XVII of the Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University, Act 1998. In exercise of the powers
conferred upon the University vide provision in Section 5 of the said Act, rules and regulations for
admission to B.V.Sc. and A.H. degree programme have been formulated by Maharashtra Animal and
Fishery Sciences University, Nagpur.

b) Qualifications :
i) Candidates who have passed XII Std. (10 + 2 pattern) Examination and
secured minimum 50% and 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology
and English together for Unreserved and Reserved Category
respectively are eligible for admission. The candidate shall have
appeared for MH-CET-2015 conducted by Directorate of Medical
Education & Research, Govt. of Maharashtra, Mumbai. However,
admission shall be strictly on the basis of merit in MH-CET-2015.

The NRI candidate passing XII Std. from India with subject Physics,
Chemistry, Biology and English must have appeared in MH-CET2015. Those candidate studying abroad need not appear for MH-CET2015. However, they should secure 50% marks in each subject of
Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English at XII Std. (10 + 2 pattern) or
equivalent.

Out of total number of seats, 15% seats in each Veterinary College shall be reserved and will be
filled in on All India Basis through Common Entrance Examination conducted by Veterinary
Council of India, New Delhi.
As per Govt. of Maharashtra, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development & Fisheries
Department, Resolution No.MAFSU/ACD/6/15 Nagpur, Dt.:20/01/2015] Maharashtra Animal
& Fishery Sciences University, Nagpur has reserved 10 seats for NRI / FN / PIO candidates, 5
seats for Jammu & Kashmir Migrant candidates (i.e. wards of displaced citizens & wards of
officers / staff of military & para military forces, All India Services posted to combat terrorists
activities in Jammu & Kashmir) and 6 seats for Goa state candidates for admis sion to B.V.Sc.
& A.H. Degree Course. However, the pre-requisite condition to appear for common entrance
examination conducted by DMER, Mumbai (MH-CET) has not been relaxed to the above said
students except NRI / FN / PIO students educated abroad.
The merit list of MH-CET-2015 will be utilized for admission in Veterinary Colleges in
Maharashtra. Information of admission procedure & other details for B.V.Sc & A.H. degree
course in Veterinary faculty will be notified separately & independently in due course of time
by the Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University, Nagpur.

However, the candidates applying for the seats stated above at 3 (III) should note that, they will not be
eligible for Medical or other faculty admissions except Veterinary (B.V.Sc. & A.H.)

Important Instructions - How to Mark In The OMR Answersheet


1. Use only BLACK ink ball point pen to darken/mark the appropriate circle.
2. Mark should be dark and should completely fill the circle.
3. Mark/darken only one circle for each entry. The answer once marked is final, any change in the
option once marked, done by any method, will amount to a invalid/incorrect response.
4. A lightly/faintly marked/darkened circle may also be treated as a incorrect/wrong method
of marking and may not be read by the Optical Scanner.
5. Marking should only be done in the space provided.
6. Please do not fold the answer sheet and do not make any stray marks on it.
Marking of Responses:There will be four answer options for each question. The candidate will indicate his/her response to the
question by darkening the appropriate circle completely with BLACK ink ball point pen.

15% NRI Quota in private unaided medical Colleges
"NRI Candidate" means a candidate who is to be admitted must him self/her self be NonResident Indian.
NRI candidate is eligible only for admission to 1st Year MBBS Degree Course at
Private Unaided Medical Colleges, who have voluntarily joined MH-CET-2015.
The Pravesh Niyantran Samiti (PNS) decides in the minutes of meeting 16.01.2015, to
change the criteria for the admission of 15% NRI Quota in Under Graduate Health Science courses
from the Academic Year 2015-16 onwards. In the light of the judgments of the Hon'ble Supreme
Court. The Samiti proposes that the guidelines should be frame in a such a way that only those
candidates who are Non-Resident Indians themselves get admission against the seats earmarked for
N.R.I.'s. In so far as the seats that may remain vacant from the NRI quota are concerned, it is
obvious that the seats that remain vacant in the NRI quota would revert back to general pool of
seats and will have to be filled by the colleges on merits in accordance with the 'Common Entrance
Test' and/or 'Common Admission Process' choosen by the College/Institute.
As per circular bearing No. MCI-34(MC)/2014/149869, dated 16th January 2015 issued by
Medical Council of India, New Delhi and directions of Pravesh Niyantran Samiti in minutes of
meeting dated 10th February 2015, the NRI candidates desirous of seeking admission to MBBS
course in Private Unaided Medical Colleges must appear and qualify for MH-CET-2015.
NRI status of the candidate who will be selected for MBBS course will be subject to
approval of Pravesh Niyantran Samiti (PNS).
For NRI Candidate the eligibility of qualifying examination i.e. 12th/HSC equivalent
and eligibility of CET mark for admission to MBBS course will be as prescribed by
the Medical Council of India.
NRI candidate are exempted from eligibility criteria under rule No. 4.4 & 4.5.
