Essay 1

Nowadays, there is a hot topic upon the subject of the best way
of travelling. Some claim that going around the world by
yourself is the best option, while others state that being part of
a group led by a tour guide is more efficient and useful. I am
inclined to agree with the second statement, for there are
several reasons.
Firstly, one cannot deny that travelling is about gaining precious
information, experiencing
the most unusual activities and
encountering things never seen before. Thus, tour guides can
be condsidered an important element of an amazing holiday.
One of the tour guides mission is to enrich your general
knowledge by providing interesting information about the
monument you are visiting, for example. They are able to
explain you the meaning of a symbol, statue or even a painting
even if the only thing you see is a tree drawn on a wall.
Secondly, there is no argue against the fact that travelling in a
group and also being led by a tour guide makes it more difficult
for the individuals to lose their way. Groups of travellers usually
have to follow an itinerary, which means that every person
knows the exact route and nobody shall get lost on the streets
of a foreign country. Therefore, travelling in groups provides
more security, while being alone in an unknown city can
became a real burden for a traveller. For instance, two years
ago when I was wandering on the streets of Italy, I missed the
right street and I found myself in an extremely dangerous
neighbourhood. Mysterious men were trying to sell me stolen
goods and I ended calling the local police asking for help.
In addition, participating in a group of people with the same
interests as yours, in this case discovering the beauties of the
world, keeps away the inevitable boredom. Being surrounded by
plenty of people, an individual can have more fun than ever,
whereas a man travelling by himself sometimes might not
experience the same joy. It is more likely for groups to enjoy

themselves and have the time of their lives, than for a person
which travels alone.
However, a vast majority of people points out that travelling in
groups often means that you have to stick to an already
designed schedule. Maybe you want to visit a place that
someone else has just visited. Consequenly, groups tend to limit
someones options. Moreover, there is a also the possibilty of
spending time close to people you do no get along with. Here
interferes a feeling of frustration and sadness, which is not very
common during travellings.
Summing up, I consider that one of the best ways of travelling
is in groups led by tour guides as a person is not only more
secure, but he or she is likely to have more fun around other
people.

Essay 2
Nowadays, there is a hot topic upon the subject of one famous
entertainer or athlete that someone would like to meet in his or
her life. People are most often fascinated by the individuals that
have taken their lives to another level and who have become
successful persons. If I had the chance to meet one such
personality, I would definitely go for Oprah, for there are several
reasons.
Firstly, one cannot deny that Oprah has become one of the most
influencial women in the entire world. Despite her skin colour,
she rose and eventually thrived hosting one Tv programme,
one magazine and riching Fobes 500 in less time that others
that had a much easier destiny than her. Thus, one reason for
which I want to meet Oprah in person is that I consider her an
extraordinary role model for all teenager girls. She is not only
independent and clever, but from all her interviews she seems
to be ready to face any situation that life might offer her.
Secondly, there is no argue against the fact that Oprah can be a
real motivation for all the people that feel miserable and afraid
to follow their dreams. Being raised by a poor family in a violent
neighbourhood during her childhood, her future did not seem
too bright. Her struggles continued also in her adolescence, but
she never lost her hope that her dreams can become a reality.
No matter how many adversities she had to manage, no matter
how steep her path seemed, she never gave up. Therefore,
Oprah can be a starting point, an example for those who want
both change their lives and fulfill some personal desires. Oprah
showed us that life is about handling difficult situations and

getting to the place you want, not using your actual conditions
as an excuse.
In addition, I would like to mentions also that this particular
woman did not forget the place where she comes from. Oprah
has always been trying to offer a second chance to the poor,
trying to make a difference in their lives. Moreover, she regularly
donates enormous sums of money to orphanges so that kids
can enjoy a little more their lives. In contrast, many other
entertainers or celebrities
achieve success and transform
themselves into selfish and greedy persons, not willing to share
a tiny portion of their goods with the ones less blessed.
Summing up, if one day I had this chance to meet someone
famous, I would not miss it on anyone else. Not only does Oprah
maintain hersef among successful and rich people, but she has
also never stopped being humble and conscient that being
more fortunate does not make you superior to the rest of the
world.

Essay 3
Nowadays, there is a hot topic upon the subject of the vacations
of students. Opinions are shared and while some people claim
that one long vacation si more beneficial, others state that it is
more useful for students to have several short vacations.
Personally, I am inclined to believe that the second option, the
one with multiple vacations, is more appropiate to pupils, for
there are a number of resons.
Firstly, one cannot deny that even if a student likes to learn, to
study his courses, at a certain time he will eventually become
bored with all the complicated notions. He is likely to lose his
interest for new information and thus his academic results
inevitably drop. Also, there comes a time when cncentration
becomes so difficult, that some students even give up on
studying. Therefore, one reason for which numerous short
vacations are more suitable is that they provide enough time for
a pupil to recharge his or her batteries in order to do his best in
the classroom. Such students will find their energy and desire to
enter once again their classroom focusing on the lecture and
not thinking about how they can get away from school.
Secondly, there is no argue against the fact that through
various vactions over a school year students cannot forget as

much information as they would forget after one long vacations.

When spending to much time away from a certain field such as
chemistry and mathematics, anyone will sooner or later forget
plenty of formulas and ecuations, for example. Conseqently,
there is a waste of time of learning and relearning the same
facts, which can become quite stressing and dissapointing for
lots of students. As a result, another cause for which I sustain
the idea of several vacations is that it is a lot easier for pupils to
stay in touch with school lessons if they alternate holidays with
vacations instead of one prolonged holiday.
However, a vast majority of people points out that an extended
vacation has more benefits and does more good to studentss
lives. They observed that a longer vaction is designed to
provide students enough time to get away from everything that
means school, highschool or university. They also state that
such a holiday enables students to think more about their future
and if further education is what they really want.

Summing up, I consider that students need breaks during their

lenghty weeks of studying in order not suffer of lack of interest
and motivation to fulfill their entire studies. As a matter of fact,
not only do shorter vacations provide spare time for pupils to
enjoy themselves, but also help students handle better the hard
times of their schools years.

Nowadays, there is a hot topic upon the subject of how schools
should spend money if they were offered such a gift. Opinions
are mostly shared and often totally different. Thus, if my school
was given as a present a sum of money I would say that this
should be invested in technology, in a new gym and perhaps in
redecorating the classrooms.
Firstly, one cannot deny that our generation and without doubt
the next generations are profoundly addicted to gadgets and all
that means technology. Students now prefer to get rid of their
original books, but at the same time they are so fond of their
tablets. When studying, they use hundreds of applications
whether they are on their computer or on their mobile phones.
Also, it is more comforatble for them to stay away from all those
old and thick books when they can have hundreds of pages on
their Ipad. Therefore, I think it is essential to sustain this way of
learning and studying even if it differs from the manner our
parents used to approach school lessons. The population is

constanly evolving and as a result todays pupils must be

encouraged to continue their studies, even if this includes lots of
digital resources. For instance, most students now use their
computers when participating in lectures as it is a lot easier to
store information and carry it wherever they go.
Secondly, there is no argue against the fact that my school
definitely needs a new gym. The old one is so damaged that it
is absolutely dangerous for kids to continue their physical
education lessons in it. The lockers are also in a bad estate and
their renovation is compulsory. Moreover, I consider that a new
gym would seem more appealing to kids. Thus, there would be
more pupils who would like to join their school teams of football
or volleyball.
In addition, I think that the whole school actually needs a
redesign. Being so old-fashioned and its colors being also so
despondent makes the students spend most of their time in a
dull environment. Brighter colors on the walls, fashionable
curtains, new doors and most importantly modern desks would
inevitably make a difference even in pupils perception towards
school.
Summing up, I am inclined to believe that these three fields
from my school would need most of the investment. Not only
does technology appeal to people of all ages, but together with
a cutting-edge gym and a completely different design would
transform this mediocre school into a top one as students would
manifest their interest more then before.

Essay 5
Nowadays, there is a hot topic upon the most important leaders
of the world. Among Jonh F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King,
there are many others that have been trying to leave their mark
on the humanity. If I were to choose another world leader, I
would definitely go for Mother Theresa, for there are several
reasons.
Firstly, one cannot deny that a part of what we have today is
due to Mother Theresas actions towards world peace. Since
early times, she has been trying to prove us that violence and
agression are not always the solution. Despite the drastic

methods used centuries ago to oblige humans do certain things,

Mother Theresa went on a different route. She devoted her etire
life fighting for the peace, for the tranquility needed all over the
globe. Not only was she persecuted for numerous times
because of her different way of approaching difficulties, but she
has also been rejected by so many individuals during her
struggle. Even so, the circumstances did not seem to matter
taht much, as she finally achieved her goal.
Secondly, there is no argue against the fact that Mother
Theresa has also left us a number of life lessons. She taught us
that comprehension and tolerance are the most valuable
virtutes of a human being. She showed us that anyone can
make a difference in someone elses life. Moreover, Mother
Theresa let us understand that a world full of envy, shelfishness
and anger is nothing compared to a world driven by
compassion, love and care for other peoples. Therefore, she
aimed to prove that us as human being empowered with a
rational thinking are able to to change our actual conditions,
taking not only our, but also others lives into a direction where
we all become the sons of God.
In addition, another reason for which I consider this particular
woman responsible for certain changes in our world is that she
never gave up on her strong beliefs. Unquestionably, she can
be considered a role model for those who choose the same path
as hers. In spite of all the adveristy, Mother Theresa knew she
had to lead the humankind toward something more noble such
as peace.
Summing up, I am inclined to believe that Mother Theresa
deserves not only our attention, but also our respect for
everything she accomplished during her life. For these reason, I
thing she can be thought as an important leader who wanted to
make a change for the humanity.

Essay 6
Nowadays, there is a hot topic upon the subject of the field
where the government should spend more money. Some claim
that the goverment should invest this money in exploring the
Outer space, while others point out that our basic needs on
Earth still need to be fullfilled. I am inclined to believe that the
second option is more appropiate, for there are several reasons.

Firstly, one cannot deny that the planet Earth still needs
numerous improvements. Living in the 21st century does not
mean all the pasts issues have dissapeared. Even if we have
technology coming along our path, the basic needs of the
humankind such as water, food and shelter have not been
sucessfully completed. Take for instance, the case of the
children from the remote areas of Africa. Most of them suffer
from famine and malnutrition, which it seems unacceptable for
me knowing that lots of money are spent for other less
important purposes. Therefore, this is one of the reasons why I
think this money should be spent in this area.
Secondly, there is no argue against the fact that another basic
need and at the same time human right of every person is
definitely education.
Attending classes it often seems an
unachievable dream for certain kinds of children. Whether they
do not have enough finances or whether they do not have a
school in their village, this is their right to be supported through
school. Thus, if the government endorses this way of thinking,
huge sums of money would be invested in bringing up powerful
individuals. Not only would these individuals be more motivated
to do something for the entire world, but they would also agree
on raising funds for other domains that need development. For
example, if there is one single child who wants to become an
astronaut, but he does not have the necessary means for
accomplishing that, the humanity might lose the next Neil
Armstrong.
However, there is a vast majority of people who claims that the
outer space is at least as important as the basic needs on Earth.
They tend to encounter the idea that the human being needs
something more to explore, to live or to discover during his or
her live. Moreover, they add that space exploration is likely to
solve some century-long questions such as Has there ever
been life on Mars? or Are there really aliens watching us?
Consequently, these people claim that exploring the space
would give us a better understanting of the world we are living
in.

Summing up, I consider that not only do we have to

comprehend that the issues on this particular planet need to be
resolved, but we also have to agree on the fact that space
exploration can wait until the environment we are living has
made some improvements. As a consequence, I unquestionably
think that the government should spend this money for our
basic need on Earth.

Essay 6
Nowadays there is hot topic upon the subject of things that a
person might like or dislike if he or she were to move in your
town. Living in the capital city of Romania, Bucharest, this lets
me think not only about plenty of attractions, but also about
some nasty facts about this town.
Firstly, one cannot deny that Bucharest is one of the most
beautiful towns in Romania. Its size being enormous, Bucharest
is the ideal place for hosting numerous sites required to be
visited. One of the main places people fall in love when coming
to Bucharest is the Old Center. Lots of coffee shops, exclusive
restaurants and amazing pubs, all being situated on the streets
that let you think you are actually travelling aroud the globe
and not just in one city. Moreover, remaining in the center of
Bucharest, people can also spend their time visit a number of
museums, art galleries or theaters. The Antipa Museum or The
National Theater seem to appeal the most to those passionated
by whether by art or science.
Secondly, there is no argue against the fact that if someone
were to move in Bucharest, he or she will have so many green
places to choose from. As a matter of fact, in every corner of
this huge town, people can find at least one park. Take for
example, the Herastrau Park or the Cismigiu Park. These places
are abundant in terms of greenish environment and give people
the chance to evade from their everyday busy lives, taking a
stroll and admiring the nature.
In addition, Bucharest does not lack of means of entertainment.
With a lot of shopping centers, cinemas, libraries, circuses or fun
parks nobody can get bored living in this city. There is no way
for a person not to find anything to do in Bucharest. For

instance, for a day spent with friends you can go to Terra Park if
you wish of adrenaline, but if you prefer a more tranquil day you
can visit the National Library.
However, as every thing of this world has both good and bad
parts, this town is not entirely perfect. One of its main problems
seems to be the heavy traffic which leads also to a higher level
of pollution. With a population of nearly 700.000 people,
Bucharest can get really crowded sometimes. Furthermore, with
so many unknown people, this town can often be dangerous,
especially at night. Probably, another thing someone might
dislike when coming to Bucharest are the stray dogs. Even until
today, the authorities did not manage to overcome this issue.
Summming up, I consider that if there were anybody who would
like to move to Bucharest, he or she would definitely not be
dissapointed. With its ups and downs, this capital city provides
a great background, offering plenty of possibilities to every and
each person.

Essay 7
Nowadays there is a hot topic upon the subject of the elements
that play major roles in a culture. Some claim that tradititions
and customs are the most important, while others state that
dancing also has itself an incredible role in every culture. I am
inclined to believe that dancing has an unbeliavable importance
too, for there are several reasons.
Firstly, one cannot deny that dancing is part of a national
heritage. It represents successfully the artistic part which
counts tremendously when it comes to a culture. Thus, not only
does dancing involve information and interesting traits of a
civilization, but it also manages to create an overall idea of the
specific of a certain country. For example, the folklore in
Romania includes a traditional dance meant to include also the
romanian conventional clothes that are still worn in some parts
of the country. As a consequence, dancing in this case reveals
some tresures the Romanias heritage.
Secondly, there is no argue against the fact that dancing in
general helps peopel express themselves through movements.
They get involved in numerous motion that makes their body
decongest involuntary. Also, whether people are shy or whether
they do not like to spend time socialising, dancing is an
excellent way to show others who they really are. Take for
instance the example of teenagers. Most of them hate spending
time with colleagues, but they prefer to dance perhaps in
organised dancing clubs.
In addition, it is well-known that dancing also helps people get
away from stress. Being caught in the hustle and bustle of our
everyday lives we often tend to get nervous, irritated and angry
about every minor thing that happens to us. Consequently,

most of us forgive to enjoy life, to smile as musc as possible and

this way life turns into real burden. Even so, dancing offers us
an escape from all these. It give us the possibility the forget for
an hour or two the difficulties of life in order to recharge our
batteries and face life one more time.
However, there is a vast majority of people who claims that
dancing is less important than any other component of a
culture. This people point out that dancing does not emody
entirely a culture and it does not demand such much attention.
They observe that there are plenty of other things that should
be considered staple to a culture.
Summing up, I totally agree with the fact that dancing plays an
imaginable role in every culture and I obviously support its
development. Not only does it enrich each culture, but it also
endorses a countrys national features.
