For the positif sentence this is the pattern
S +Verb2 + object + adverb of time
Ex :
1. I took tools Last week.

1. I didnt take tools last week
(?) Did + S + Verb 1 + Object

And the second pattern

S + Tobe (Was, Were) + non verb
