Safety Lift in H5 Universitas Negeri Malang

Definitions of the elevator is a conveyance or transfer from one level to the next level that
serves as the transfer of goods and people from one floor to the
next floor. Usually the elevators used in high building, for
example is the elevator in the H5 building at Universitas Negeri
Malang. Because this building has four floors. Elevator in
the H5 has buttons that can be selected according to the
passengers their destination floor. Working elevator system acco
rding to Mr. Handayana say "speed the elevators in accordance
with the load lifted. So that when the load is transported more
severe, then the slower speed, and the lighter the load, the faster
is also working elevator.
H5 building is a high building with four floors which has many functions. So the elevator
can help its users to reach the floor to the third or fourth
floor. Function of the lift there are, The first, according to
Mr. Handayana "accelerate the academic process and expedite the
learning process for the faculty of engineering". The second,
facilitate access to the mobility of both third and fourth floors, said
one of the students who used the elevator. The third, user is not tired,
because it does not to walk up the stairs from first floor to third or
fourth floor. The next function is to facilitate and accelerate the
transport of heavy goods and large to the hall in fourth floor, for example a large desk, large
chair. Of the interview between some lecture and students prefer to use the elevator instead of
having to walk up to the floor destination.
As we know lift is one of tool in H5 building. As the other tools, lift is so benefit to all
people in H5, for example lecture, student, staff, cleaning service, etc. For lecture and staff, lift
is benefit for their. We can take an example Mrs. Yuni Rahmawati, a lecture of English in
Electrical Engineering. She say that, lift is very effective for my activity, because my class at
second and fourth floor, and my office at second floor. So, I must go up and go down by ladder,
it is very heavy. For student, especially electrical engineering student, lift is benefit for their

activity in H5. Because their class at second and fourth floor. One of student say that, I am very
happy because H5 building has lift for our activity and anytime if I go to campus late, I can go to
class more fast. The advantage for cleaning service is can help to bring heavy tolls and the other
machine. So, as one of service tools in H5. Lift has many advantage such as, we can go to the
class faster, we can save my energy, can help me to bring heavy tools, etc.
At elevator usage there are some regulation and treatment in order to make the H5
elevator occur and continue, from the interview with some informant who used the H5 elevator,
that is Mr. Handayana as chief administrative.
At the regulation, there are some regulation to make the elevator occur and continue
which delivered by Mr. Handayana, by obeying the regulation while using the H5 elevator, one
of it is the elevator capacity should be ten person maximum, in the elevator is forbidden to
smoke because it would decreasing the oxygen, forbidden to push the indicator button while it
work, forbidden to block the elevator door if the elevator work, forbidden to block the elevator
door if the door elevator still closing process because it would break the cable system even
broken off, forbidden to throw the rubbish inside the elevator, those are some regulation which
have to obeyed by H5 elevator users in order to make the elevator occur and continue, and next
we will discuss about elevator treatment.

H5 building has one lift. That lift which often used by member of enginering faculty.
Because that, lift susceptible to be broken like stopped up lift, lift is off, broke the button of lift,
etc. The broke of lift because many problem, like ignorant hand some student. Sometimes they
like up and down lift without purpose, it can make the oil of lift over, click the button happen
again, not make rule of lift like more from full auto capacity and smoking in the lift, when the lift
open, the members not immediately enter the lift, they stop on the door of lift, it can make
broken the infrared. The consequence, when there is repairing, the officer often meet infrared
broke.
Mr Handayana said if there are some students who is entrapped in lift the solution is,
that student can crushed the emergency switch in lift so many people out of lift can know if in
lift there are some students entrapped in lift. The solution can make all of the users know what
they can do if they have a problem when they are in lift. Then, if the lamp is off and the position
of users still in lift, they should not be to movement because it can make users can lose of many
oxide and after that they can be fainting fit for a moment. And if there is some broken of many
part of lift, the first is checking the reason of broken part of lift and repair it. Some factor can
become because there are many broken of cables or end of oil. And the last solution from Mrs
Yuni as a secretary and user too, she said we are as users must to keep safe of lift and always
checking it every month.
Some users give the massage about lift that if can be, second floor of lift can be use
again. So not just for third and fourth floor but second floor can use the lift again. But as we
know if the second floor use lift too, we never use the stage again. I think it can make users lazy
and the important point is when we always use lift everyday and most of users use lift too, we
cant to economical of electrical in our area but its not deal if just third and fourth floor can use
lift but we? We always study in second floor but we cant use lift as them. Although we are the
same. We are as the student like them.
