image record is enable; Audio record is closed)

The related setup for video record data , as follows:

a. Resolution: Setup each channel image record resolution
b. Frame rate: Setup each channel the record frame rate
c. Encode: Set up for CBR (Constant bitrate) and
VBR(Variable bitrate).
d. Quality: (1-6, the larger number, the higher quality).
e. Max Bitrate, the factory default is 512K, the higher the
value , the more clear when the image changes
f. Finish setup, pressApply. If in recording, the system
will pop-up warning and confirm if need pause recording
for a few seconds( as below )

Note: VBR mean that according to the audio and video complexity to determine the

23

sampling rate. When the video is complex, the captured bit and retrieved bit are more,
that will make the video data files increase. On the contrary, if the video is simply, that
will collect less bit to storage. In other words, the whole audio and video sampling rate
arent same. If you choose the CBR, from start to finish are all maintain a certain bit rate.
For 5 minutes of image data, if take 512kbps sampling rate to calculate. That is
equivalent to 19200k5x60x512/8.The advantage is compression speed quickly; VBR
the flow per second can changeable, the advantage is to record with more capacity in
the complex signal, when the wave simple, it can with low flow rate to effective use of
space. The disadvantage for CBR is that the flow are all same per second, it is easily to
waste of space.
