Alpha Epsilon Pi

The goal of Alpha Epsilon Pi is to not only stand against sexual assault and violence, but to
lead the way in its prevention on campus. Since the start of the discussions taking place at
Cal Poly, the Sigma Omega chapter has taken the lead in supporting survivors publicly, an
action that has since spread through IFC. Our brothers recognize the role we must play to
improve our campus culture and that the same virtues that make us Fraternity men give us
the strength we need to create a safer campus. Many of our members are involved in
advocacy against sexual assault on campus and continue to participate in existing campus
programs and resources such as Safer advocacy training and Greeks Against Sexual Assault.
The ideals of the International Jewish Fraternity include to ... not do unto others what thou
wouldnt do unto thyself, and our chapter plans to embody this message through actions
such as emphasizing bystander intervention, participating in frank and open discussions
about consent, boundaries and victim blaming, and being committed to the safety of
anyone who chooses to associate with our chapter. AEPi will continue to communicate, in
both word and action, that we stand with the survivors on campus and that there is no
support in our brotherhood for the cowards that commit sexual assault.
Alpha Gamma Rho
The brotherhood of Alpha Gamma Rho, Chi Chapter takes a proactive stance against sexual
assault and is aware of the problems not only within Greek life or our campus, but across
the country. As a brotherhood, we look to create a safe environment for all guests. Any
brother that obstructs this environment does not share Alpha Gamma Rhos attitude
toward sexual harassment and will promptly be addressed by our chapter. All of our
brothers are expected to uphold our fraternitys purpose of Making Better Men. To act on
this purpose, every brother must encourage an atmosphere that promotes individual
endeavor, resourcefulness, and aggressive effort along lines making for the development of
better mental, social, moral, and physical qualities. The Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity has a
zero tolerance for sexual assault and is making strides to ensure we are part of a
community where sexual assault no longer exists.
Beta Theta Pi
In light of the recent occurrences of sexual assault on campus, the brothers of the Epsilon
Delta chapter of Beta Theta Pi would like to express our dedication to fighting this issue.
We always strive to be Men of Principle and uphold our most vital values which emphasize
respect and integrity. Our brothers are held to only the highest of expectations for personal
conduct, and any who violate these standards are subject to immediate expulsion from the
chapter and the full weight of the law. We would like to express our full support and
commitment to putting an end to sexual assault and are prepared to take our share of
responsibility in rooting out and stopping this problem. Along with working with Betas
from the Utah chapter who have recently gained national attention for their inspiring
campus-wide campaign against sexual assault, weve also been working on educating our
members on sexual assault prevention. We strive to facilitate a safe environment campuswide for all students and encourage the community as a whole to do the same. This has
been a learning experience for all of us and we want to do our part alongside the greater
community in the effort to put an end to this issue.

Delta Chi
I will respect the dignity and worth of all persons. I will not physically, mentally,
psychologically or sexually abuse or haze any human being. X Basic Expectation #2
I will protect the health and safety of all human beings. X Basic Expectation #3
I will challenge all of my fraternity members, to abide by these fraternity obligations, and
will confront those who violate them. X Basic Expectation Number #11
These statements are expected of every member of Delta Chi; we learn them, know them,
and live them every day. The men of the Delta Chi Fraternity, in accordance with our
values, will uphold our members and members of our community to the highest standard
in order to end a culture that has permitted rape, sexual assault, and sexual violence. We,
as both a working body and as individuals, understand the severity of the crimes that have
occurred in the community, and furthermore understand that the power to make positive
change is in our hands. Delta Chi accepts that there are behaviors, policies, and attitudes
that must be changed within our own organization, and in Greek life as a whole, in order to
end the culture of rape and promote the culture that was intended by the founders of our
organizations. Delta Chi will seek a path of education, action and subsequent cultural
change in order to put a stop to the inexcusable crimes that have been committed and will
continue to occur without a prompt and genuine response. There is no place for sexual
violence in the Cal Poly community, or for the victim blaming that keeps these crimes in the
dark. We Delta Chi brothers solemnly commit to being part of the solution, now and for the
rest of our lives.
Delta Sigma Phi
Recent events have highlighted the serious issue of sexual assault. This plague is one that
affects everyone in the community, from survivors and victims to families, students, and
organizations.
At Delta Sigma Phi, we believe that stopping sexual assault begins with education. From
day one, our members receive training and education to answer several questions:
What exactly is sexual assault?
How can we as a brotherhood prevent it?
What can we do to bring the community together with the common goal of ending sexual
assault?
These questions have allowed our members to better understand the complexity and scope
of this problem. With more education and awareness, we will see a larger push to address
the plague of sexual assault. As leaders and men, we will contribute whatever resources are
necessary to ensure that no more lives are torn apart by sexual assault. We stand by our
motto: Better Men, Better Lives, and will use this creed to better our university, our
world, and ourselves.

Delta Tau Delta

The men of Delta Tau Delta recognize sexual assault as a pervasive issue on our campus
and throughout our nation as a whole. It is a threat to the safety and wellbeing of all
members of our community, including our friends and family who are most important to
us. We will not stand by when the need for change in our community is so imminent. As
leaders on our campus we have the power to create change in our culture and we take it as
our responsibility to do so. We strive to foster a culture of care and respect a culture
where sexual assault has no place.
Delta Upsilon
Delta Upsilon stands for Dikaia Upotheke, which means, "Justice, Our Foundation." It is our
mission to advance justice and build better men. It is in our oath of initiation to perfect
ourselves morally, intellectually, and socially. We believe it is critical to not cultivate a
culture that supports sexual assault, but a culture of bystander intervention.
Kappa Sigma
Kappa Sigma is a fraternity of gentlemen; men of honor and courage. As a group of such
gentlemen, the Nu-Alpha chapter stands firmly against sexual assault. We recognize that
sexual assault is a major problem on college campuses nationwide. Recent statistics show
that nearly one in four women experience some form of sexual assault during the time they
are attending a college or university. Our chapter is disturbed by this statistic, and we are
committed to being the change that we want to see.
One instance of a sexual assault is one instance too many. We strive to create a campus
where not a single student experiences this trauma. We strive to ensure that not a single
student fears for their safety. These are the goals of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity and we
strive to uphold them. The men of this Nu-Alpha chapter are dedicated to do everything in
their power to prevent sexual assault on and off of Cal Polys campus. Kappa Sigma
fraternity will never cease to advocate tirelessly for the changes needed at Cal Poly. It is the
responsibility of each fraternity individually to raise the fraternal standards. We encourage
each fraternity to join us in this effort to educate our respective members of the severity of
this issue and to actively participate in creating a safe and responsible social environment.
Lambda Chi Alpha
The gentlemen of Lambda Chi Alpha will not tolerate or condone any act of sexual violence
and will do everything in our power to foster a social environment that is safe for both
women and men. We shall also stand against any sexually aggressive behavior be it
physical, mental, or emotional.
The chronic issue of sexual violence at universities across the country is one that we as a
chapter and we as an organization will fight to resolve. Our chapter adheres to 7 national
core values, one of which being respect. We as an organization hold ourselves to the
highest standards and will continue to promote a culture free of sexual violence. We shall
strive to exceed the expectation of any chapter to end sexual violence and shall promote
these ideals in all members who pass through our chapter.

The men of Lambda Chi Alpha at Phi Sigma Zeta will not be passive bystanders as this
major problem remains unsolved, Rather, we will be advocates against sexual violence
during our time as undergraduates and through our lifetimes as alumni.
Phi Kappa Psi
The men of the Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity recognize that Sexual Assault is a major problem
on college campuses around the nation. We are certain that our campus, like many others,
is working to change the culture, but requires more decisive action. As men of the Phi
Kappa Psi fraternity we constantly challenge each other to be honorable men, in all aspects
of life. As an organization we strive to foster a culture that encourages healthy discussion of
the problem and facilitates positive change. As brothers we participate in building a safer
environment on campus and at all of our events. We do not tolerate any mental, physical, or
emotional sexual misconduct within our organization. Any individual who violates this safe
space will be removed from the fraternity. As brothers we pledge to not only represent Phi
Kappa Psi, but indeed the spirit of all fraternities. Thus, as a part of the Greek community
we must strive to uphold the highest standards of behavior and excellence. We believe that
all student organizations in the Cal Poly community should work together to increase
education of sexual assault. Sexual assault is a very serious issue, and it falls on all of us to
be a part of the solution and help put an end to the problem.
Phi Sigma Kappa
The problem of sexual assault on our campus is rooted in a culture that endorses ignorance
of the act in a public setting. Sexual assault corrupts the sanctity of our community from
within. Discussions of sexual assault are generally limited, and our culture seems to ignore
this as a communal problem. We, the men of Phi Sigma Kappa, feel as though this ignorance
has gone on long enough, and we intend to be a catalyst for change. We strive to facilitate a
community that fosters the safety of the men and women who comprise it. As leaders,
when our campus community fails in this endeavor, we must respond to facilitate a positive
change. Sexual assault hinders the good will on our campus and thus, limits the potential
we have as a united front to make a measurable change in the world around us. We are
driven to lead our community in changing how our campus thinks about and discusses this
issue. Changing a culture is no easy task, but we, as the men of Phi Sigma Kappa, accept this
responsibility and vow to end the culture that allows for sexual assault to occur in our
community.
Sigma Nu
The brothers of Sigma Nu take sexual assault very seriously. We believe in being men not
only of strong morals, but also of action. As such we are dedicated to ensuring our
members are receiving the proper education on sexual assault by having chapter
presentations, and attending trainings on sexual assault and all other forms of gender
based violence. We are committed to calling out sexist attitudes displayed by members of
our chapter, and addressing mindsets that contribute to rape culture in our society. We
want to be leaders in stopping sexual assault on Cal Polys campus. Every person should
leave college with great experiences and lifelong positive memories. With that in mind,
Sigma Nu is dedicated to doing our best to ensure that each person has a fair opportunity to
have those memories without living in fear of being assaulted.

Sigma Pi
We the brothers of Sigma Pi stand united with the rest of the Interfraternity council against
sexual assault. We believe culture change starts on an individual basis with the few leading
the many.
It is in our core beliefs that every woman should be treated as one's own mother, sister, or
daughter. In light of recent events, we have implemented new risk management policies
that will help ensure safe social environments.
We the brothers of Sigma Pi are committed to lead the change of the status quo with the
rest of the Greek Community on campus. We Believe in Sigma Pi. We believe in culture
change and encouraging chivalry.
Tau kappa Epsilon
The mission of Tau Kappa Epsilon is to create better men for a better world. Recent events
have reminded us of how much work there is left to do in pursuit of this mission. We, the
men of the Rho-Omicron chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon, stand for the safety and wellness of
all members of our community. To this end, wish to make a strong declaration against the
abhorrent actions that have plagued our campus, especially over the past several months.
TKE strives to provide a safe environment for every person who attends our events. We are
able to foster such an environment by appointing trained brothers whose sole concern is
the safety and comfort of all attendees. Outside of our events, we work to develop a healthy
mentality in our brothers to ensure that they grow into exceptional men. We have
examined and taken steps to improve our own culture, and believe that the next step is to
apply this both on campus and nationwide.
At a national level, Tau Kappa Epsilon is a proud partner with the White House sponsored
#itsonus campaign, and is working to change the culture surrounding sexual assault. On
campus, we pledge to be role models for cultural change in our community, active
bystanders, and supportive friends. We are ready to work with all of Greek life,
administration, and national organizations to put an end to sexual assault.
Theta Chi
The men of Theta Chi Fraternity at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo wholeheartedly denounce any
and all manners of sexual harassment, assault, or violence. No person deserves to be the
victim of such a traumatic event. Our sacred purpose and creed exemplify our
responsibility to extend a helping hand to all, and these crimes are the very antithesis of
that commitment.
Any brothers of Theta Chi who are found to have condoned or taken part in acts of sexual
assault will be disaffiliated from the fraternity at both the local and national levels. As
hardworking and driven individuals on our campus, members of Greek life have the power

to influence positive change. We vow to take a stand for what is right and move our campus
and community towards a culture free of sexual assault.
Zeta Beta Tau
Sexual assault has presented itself as a major issue throughout the country and specifically
on our campus at Cal Poly. The men of Zeta Beta Tau strive to live our lives synonymous
with gentlemen, and a gentleman always treats women with respect and benevolence. Zeta
Beta Tau continues to educate our members on the seriousness of sexual assault and the
importance of bystander intervention. Any inappropriate engagements will not be
tolerated by the standards that Zeta Beta Tau upholds to all of its men. Our chapter
continues to help foster a culture of social responsibility and integrity. We expect all other
Greek organizations along with all members of the Cal Poly Mustangs to take these beliefs
to heart and work to promote them in their own lives. With all of our combined efforts, the
Eta Mu Chapter of Zeta Beta Tau hopes to one day see Cal Poly free of all sexual assault and
harassment.
