following

1. The post of Associate Professor in Modern Arabic, Department of Arabic at serial No.
(30) may be read as in the Department of West Asian Studies instead of Department of
Arabic.
2. The post of Associate Professor in Fundamental Hindi (Translation) , Department of
Hindi at serial No. (18) may be read as Functional Hindi (Translation) instead of
Fundamental Hindi.
3. The post of Associate Professor in Sociology, Department of Sociology at serial No.(
26) is deleted.
4. The numbers of post Associate Professor in Islamic Studies, Department of Islamic
Studies, at serial No.(32) may be read as 02 instead of 01. The candidates must have
P.G. Degree and Ph.D. Degree in Islamic Studies.
5. The qualification for the post of Assistant Professor in Computer Application,
Department of Economics at serial No. (53) are replaced as under:

Good Academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in Economics

M.A. in Economics with specialization in Computer Application in Economics with
at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system
is followed.
Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the
National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test
accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET;
Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i), (ii) & (iii) above, candidates,
who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University
Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D.
Degree) Regulations, 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum
eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of
Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/ Colleges / Institutions;
OR
The candidates having been awarded Ph.D. Degree prior to 11.07.2009, the date of
notification of UGC (Minimum Standard Procedure for the award of M.Phil / Ph.D.
Degree Regulation, 2009 or admitted prior to the aforesaid date and award Ph.D.
after the above notification shall be exempted from requirement of the minimum
eligibility conditions of NET/ SLET/ SET and will be eligible to apply for the post
of Assistant Professor provided they fulfill minimum 6 out 11 conditions as
recommended by the Thyagrajan Committee and have obtained certificate in this
regard from the Competent authority of the concerned University.

v)

NET/SLET/SET shall also not be require for such Masters Programmes in

disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.

The qualifications for the post of T.G.T. (Tailoring) at Serial No.132 and T.G.T.
(PHE) at Serial No. 124 & 137 may be read as under:

Distinguished sportsmen who have represented the country in recognized national or
international events may also be made eligible for appointments on TRAIL BASIS
provided they possess a University Degree and the condition of possession the Diploma
in Physical Education or Equivalent qualifications shall not apply.
