ABSTRACT

The topic of research report is impact of smoking cigarettes and sheesha on the youth of
Hyderabad region.
These research works includes the introduction, problem statement, objective of research and
analysis on tobacco smoking its reasons and consequences.
As the sample group for this research is students taken from SZABIST Hyderabad, sample size is
of 52 students. To check the ratio of smokers and non smokers Questionnaires are distributed
randomly. Overall results shows that almost 63% students are smokers and average age is about
22 years. Effects of cigarettes and sheesha are analyzed separately among girls and boys students
In this report work both primary and secondary data are used for collecting of information.
Survey questionnaire and personal observation were made in respect of primary data where as in
respect of secondary data published articles, booklets and manuals W.H.O reports are reviewed
to prepare this report.
