1.1Title of the Project
Impact of dividend policy on capital structure of Toyota Motors
1.2 Organization
Tata Motors Limited (Tata Motors) is an automobile company. The Company is
engaged mainly in the business of automobile products consisting of all types of
commercial and passenger vehicles, including financing of the vehicles sold by
the Company. The Company has two segments: automotive and others. The others
segment includes construction equipment, engineering solutions and software
operations.
Instigated in the year 1945, Tata Motors has a wide network of retailers and
suppliers across India. It was in 1954 that the company launched its first vehicle

1.31 Objectives of the study
a) To identify the dividend policy TATA MOTORS is following.
b) To identify the impact of that dividend policy on capital structure of
TATA MOTORS.

Scope of the Study


This study is based on TATA Motors and period is restricted to 5 years from
2009-14.

1.4 Research Methodology


The study will be descriptive in nature. Descriptive research is used to describe
characteristics of a population or phenomenon being studied. The characteristics
used to describe the situation or population are usually some kind of categorical
scheme also known as descriptive categories.
1.41 Data collection
The data for this study will be collected from various research papers and articles
published and also companys annual reports.
1.42 Data Analysis
The above objectives of the study will be reached using the methods of statistical
analysis, technical analysis and through investigation of secondary data. For this
standard deviation and correlation will be used as the technique for data analysis.
