Impact of job satisfaction on employees job performance in Hotel Industry

Many managers subscribe to the belief that a satisfied worker is necessarily good worker. In
other words, if management of hotel industry could keep the entire worker's happy", good
performance would automatically fallow. There are two propositions concerning the satisfaction
performance relationship. The first proposition, which is based on traditional view, is that
satisfaction is the effect rather than the cause of performance. This proposition says that efforts in
a job lead to rewards, which results in a certain level of satisfaction.
If the job satisfaction level of an employee is high of course its job performance level will also
high. It has direct relation between job satisfaction and job performance.
What Job satisfaction people need? Each employee wants:
1. Recognition as an individual
2. Meaningful task
3. An opportunity to do something worthwhile.
4. Job security for himself and his family
5. Good wages
6. Adequate benefits
7. Opportunity to advance
8. No arbitrary action- a voice a matters affecting him
9. Satisfactory working conditions
10. Competence leadership- bosses whom he can admire and respect as persons and as bosses.
. The result of high job satisfaction is increased commitment to the organization, which may or
may not result in better performance. A wide range of factors affects an individual's level of
satisfaction. While organizational rewards can and do have an impact, job satisfaction is
primarily determine by factors that are usually not directly controlled by the organization. a high
level of job satisfaction lead to organizational commitment, while a low level, or dissatisfaction,
result in a behavior detrimental to the organization.

Research design:
In this research descriptive research design was apply. The descriptive research design use in
Positions where analyzers feel they have specific group of people who can define the main issues
about the main determinants of the study. We use descriptive research design and the population
Of our study is of Gujranwala. So the design was suitable for this research because the objective
of study was to identify the relation and define how these determinants are supported each other.

Sampling Method:
For selecting the sample design from above mention population we used simple random
sampling techniques which provide every item of population same and known chances of being
nominated.
Simple random sampling technique is inexpensive and cheaper way of analyzing in limited time
duration. Those respondents, who responded in positive, are believed to be managers or top level
employees and those who reply in negative are considered as employees.
Sample:

five towns (wapda Town, satellite Town, Rahwali Cantt, kamoke, Chun da Qila and Model
town ) and selected 50 respondents from each hotel for this study.
Data collection:
We used the Questionnaire method to collect data from correspondents. The questionnaire is the
main source of collecting data. The questions developed to collect quantitative data. Data has
been collected by applying the standard questionnaire. Questionnaire has been adopted from the
papers of (Al-Ghamdi, 2011;Verhulp, 2006). In questionnaire general questions are about
gender, age, employment status, education level. .We have used Likert scale of fifth continuum
