Anticipated problems: Ss. may not understand everything they hear on the CD
Lesson aims:
To reinforce the already studied grammatical structures and vocabulary;
To practice them in new context;
To introduce new vocabulary;
To develop listening skills;
To develop speaking skills;
To develop reading skills.
Materials: textbooks, dictionaries, CD, laptop
Methods: conversation, explanation, example.
Activity 1: Checking homework
Aim: to check and reinforce the previous knowledge.
Procedure: Ss. read their homework and correct themselves when necessary
Interaction: Ss. T., Ss. Ss. / Lockstep

Activity 2: Warm-up
Aim: to raise the Ss interest in practicing speaking skills with verbs of necessity.

Procedure: T. announces the Ss. that they are going to use even more the modal verb of necessity
and prohibition and equivalents, so that they should be able to speak about things they have to do
every day and things they mustnt do in their everyday life.

Activity 3: Rewrite the sentences
Aim: to reinforce grammatical structures (mustnt / dont have to)
Procedure: T. asks the Ss. to read the sentences and to rewrite them using mustnt / dont have
to / doesnt have to, they write them on the Bb. T. gives the Ss the opportunity to correct their
peers errors.

Activity 4: Tell about yourself
Aim: to practice grammatical structures
Procedure : Ss. write down in their notebooks two things they have to do, two things they dont
have to do and two things they mustnt do in their everyday life.

Activity 5: Warm-up 2
Aim: To familiarize the Ss with the new topic, related to parts of the body
Procedure: T. asks the Ss. to look at the picture and say some words about tattoos, to tell whether
they have one and if they do, on what part of the body.

Activity 6: Listening for specific information
Aim: To develop listening skills
To develop speaking skills

Procedure: T. announces they will hear a tattooist talking about himself. Ss. are asked to read the
task first and only after that they listen to the man talking. Finally, the Ss. will complete the
information missing in the numbered spaces.

Activity 7: Feed-back
Aim: To develop listening skills;
To develop speaking skills;
Procedure: Ss. also have to guess what four parts of the body Martin, the tattooist mentioned in
his speech.

Activity 8: Assigning homework/ Ts appreciation
Aim: to provide consolidation of language
Procedure: T. Asks the Ss. to complete the puzzle with the names of parts of the body
