This letter introduces and describes this release, which is supported on the indicated platform(s).

This Release Contains


A partial release of the AVEVA Multi-Discipline Supports 12.0 project data, which upgrades the full
release 51925 AVEVA PDMS 12.0.SP6. It is designed to accompany the PDMS 12.0.SP6.2
Partial Fix Release 51959, which includes updates to the Multi-Discipline Supports software.
The separately licensed products or product components installable from or upgraded by this

Full release 51925 AVEVA PDMS 12.0.SP6
Flexman 5 (32-bit or 64-bit as appropriate) and an appropriate Flexman license
Third-party products as noted for PDMS 12.0.SP6

AVEVA Licensing Library
All products in this release include the AVEVA licensing library cadcflex 5.2; please refer to the
Flexman 5.2 Installation and Configuration Guide (or later) or the Licensing section of the AVEVA
support website http://support.aveva.com for a list of licensing features supported by this version
of cadcflex.

Other AVEVA Plant (12 series) products on DVDR 41108 (PDMS 12.0.SP6 and associated
products) it is needed for compatibility with PDMS 12.0.SP6.2 onwards.

To Install product release:


Download the fix release, which is a zip file. Unzip this to MDS12.0.SP6.2-Project, which contains
a folder project, and use this to update the various project files for sample projects mds, cpl and
lis.
project contains the folder structure with five files in the appropriate directories, which can
overwrite the existing files:
1. project\mds\mds000\mds7320_0001
2. project\mds\mds000\mds7325_0001
3. project\mds\mds000\mds7351
4. project\cpl\cpl000\cpl7340_0001
5. project\lis\lis000\lis6993
The default location for these files is C:\AVEVA\Plant\MDS12.0.SP6\project but it is likely that they
have been installed elsewhere, probably on a server.
Warning: if you have modified your copies of the mds, cpl or lis projects, care must be taken as
your changes may be overwritten.

PRODUCT QUALITY STATEMENT


The development, maintenance and testing of AVEVA Solutions software products is carried out
in accordance with the companys KEYSTONE lifecycle processes and this document includes a
summary of the testing carried out on this release and a list of significant defects known to exist at
the time of release.

Development Testing
Developers have carried out unit testing of each enhancement and/or fix in the development
environment to verify that any new functionalities have been correctly implemented and identified
defects have been corrected.
Regression tests have been run in the development environment to verify that enhancements
and/or fixes have not adversely affected the integrity of the product.

System Testing
Limited independent system testing has been carried out on this product, as released, to verify
that it installs correctly in all supported configurations, that any new functionalities have been
correctly implemented and identified defects have been corrected.

Acceptance Testing
AVEVAs Group Solutions Centre is satisfied that the System Testing for this release is sufficient
to assure product quality.
Any exceptions found during Acceptance Testing or after release will be reported in the Product
Release Latest Update Note on AVEVA's support web site
