The passive voice is formed with the verb to be + past participle( the verb at the
third form)
The gardener waters the flowers (active voice)
The flowers are watered by the gardener (passive voice)

The object of the active verb becomes the subject in the new sentence. The active
verb changes into a passive form and the subject of the active verb becomes the
agent which is either introduced with by or is omitted.
When the agent is unknown, unimportant or obvious from the context, it is
omitted.
Agents such as: SOMEONE, SOMEBODY, PEOPLE, POLICE, I, YOU, THEY
are omitted.
Change from the active into the passive:
1. The gardener has planted some flowers.
2. Doctor Brown will give you some advice.
3. A famous designer will redecorate the hotel.
4. Steven Spielberg directed ET.
5. Someone has broken the crystal vase.
6. Fleming discovered penicillin.
7. They will advertize the product on TV.
8. Someone is remaking that film.
9. Columbus discovered America.
10. We keep money in a safe.
11. A bee stung her.
12. They speak Italian in Italy.
13. They have taken his aunt to hospital.
14. The boys damaged the television.
15. Da Vinci painted the Mona Lisa.
16. He invited 30 people to his party.
17. They grow bananas in Africa.
18. I have to return these books to the library.
19. He gave me a present.
