NUMBER RELATION:

1. A farm has a total of 75 cows and chickens. If there are a total of 194 legs, how many cows are there?
2. My wallet contains 36 Php20 and Php50 bills. If I have a total of Php1,110, how many of each kind of bill do I
have?
3. Summer has a total of 80 coins, each worth either 5 cents, 10 cents or 25 cents. The 5-cent coins and the 10-cent
coins cost a total of Php5.70. While the 5-cent coins and the 25-cent coins cost a total of Php4.20. How many
of each kind of coin does Summer have?
4. A gift store is making a mixture of almonds, pecans, and peanuts, which cost $3.50 per pound, $4 per pound,
and $2 per pound, respectively. The storekeeper wants to make 20 pounds of the mix to sell at $2.70 per pound.
The number of pounds of peanuts is to be three times the number of pounds of pecans. Find the number of
pounds of each to be used in the mixture.
5. A box contains $7.15 in nickels (5 cents), dimes (10 cents), and quarters (25 cents). There are 42 coins in all,
and the sum of the numbers of nickels and dimes is two less than the number of quarters. How many coins of

8. In 20 oz. of Alloy R, there are 6 oz. of Copper, 4 oz. of Zinc, and 10 oz. of Lead. In 20 oz. of Alloy M, there
is 12 oz. of Copper, 5 oz. of Zinc and 3 oz. of Lead, while in 20 oz of Alloy D, there are 8 oz. of Copper, 6 oz.
of Zinc, and 6 oz. of Lead. How many ounces of each alloy should be combined to create a new alloy containing
34 oz. of Copper, 17 oz. of Zinc and 19 oz. of Lead?
