Of Irish descent, John Fitzgerald Kennedy was born May 29, 1917, in Brookline,
Massachusetts. In 1940, he graduated from Harvard. He also entered the United
States Navy. In 1943, a Japanese destroyer rammed and sunk his PT boat. John
Kennedy’s crew members brought John Kennedy to safety even though he sustained
serious injuries.
Kennedy wished America to resume its old mission as the first nation to the
human rights revolution. With the Alliance for Progress and the Peace Corps,
he brought American idealism to the aid of developing nations. However, the
the Communist challenge hard reality remained.
