Thats pretty good for a company that began
in a single market almost eight years ago with
a simple, yet innovative idea: Travel should be
an affordable, qualitative experience, open to
everyone. Its clear our idea has caught on, and
now everywhere you look, the You Should Be

a reality. Your commitment to your business
and your passion for our product have been
the reasons why WorldVentures has established
a lasting presence worldwide. This is a
company where what you see is what you get.
We pride ourselves on our Core Values, and
are known for our openness, authenticity and
transparent business practices. And the good
news is that so much more of the world is able
to see who we are than ever before.

Last year I said our global scope was

broadening and that we were aligning our
infrastructure with this vision. Today, all of
WorldVentures has adopted a global mindset.
Every decision we make, from training to
marketing to event planning, is made with
everyone in mind. And as we position our
product and trainings in global markets, we
continue to exceed expectations, introducing
new Reps and members not only to our valuesbased culture, but in many cases, to their true
potential. Ive said it before, WorldVentures is
an experience company. What we do here is
extraordinary: We help make memories, build
networks and offer a way for families to get
closer and for people to build a business that
can have a real impact on their financial future
and peace of mind.

Today, we have more international Reps

climbing the ranks, expanding awareness
and opening the door for opportunities in
new markets. Just think of what our impact
will be in five years! This is your time. This
is your opportunity to really make an impact
and to change the lives of others around the
world. Were talking about more than promise
here. Were talking about eventualities. Were
expanding, and with your help, we will
continue to show people in new countries
what it really means to Experience More.

SPOTLIGHT

SINGAPORE
A FEAST FOR THE SENSES
M

ost countries have a very distinct

character. Spain is very, well,
Spanish; visit Ireland, and youll
find 40 shades of green; and if you venture to
Kenya, youd probably expect to take a safari.
But Singapores a bit different. Yes, the
Chinese culture is very much present (almost
75 percent of citizens are Chinese), but youll
also find hints of Westernization, as well as
vibrant, thriving pockets of Europeans and
Asians who have established themselves
as mainstays in the community, creating a
melting pot of sorts.
Since it was established as a trading post in
1819, immigrants from the Malay Peninsula,
Europe, the Middle East, China and
Indonesia have been coming to Singapore
in search of opportunity, bringing their
languages, religions, traditions and cuisine
with them.

Today, this 63-island country is as diverse as it

is interesting. It boasts four official languages,
with most residents speaking at least two, as
well as three Chinatowns, a Little India and
a Muslim quarter, with smaller pockets of other
cultures mixed in. It only makes sense then
that the most authentic Singapore experience
DreamTrippers can have is one thats anything
but Singaporean.
Allow yourself plenty of time to exploreand
experiencethe communities sights, sounds
and, of course, food. From Kampong Glam
to Joo Chiat and Katong, the cultures are eye
candy, especially when its time for a festival.
The Chinese New Year draws tourists from all
over, who flock to Chinatown to witness the
spectacular displays of color.
When youre ready to go shopping, you cant
go wrong. Fashionistas flock to the Muslim
quarters Haji Lane, where designer labels are

always on hand, while gadget lovers head to

Funan Digitalife Mall and Sim Lim Square to
take advantage of discounts on electronics. If
youre looking for more traditional wares, your
best bets are found at vendors stalls, which
hawk practically everything.
And no visit to Singapore would be complete
without trying the cuisine; there are dishes
to tempt almost every palate. If youre
looking for fine dining, dont miss South
African dishes at Nandos and European fare
at the White Rabbit, but if you really want
to experience something new, try the food
vendors. Take our advice, and try Lor Mee,
Chwee Kueh or Yushengyour taste buds
will thank you.
A DreamTrip to Singapore is a feast for the
senses, and visiting the country is truly a treat.
Add a little flavor to your life, and experience
more in Singapore!

COACHS

THE WAR OF WORDS

BY MARC ACCETTA

ost coaches never realize the power

of their words. Many of them speak
harsh, even cruel words to their
players when those players underperform
albeit to help them correct their mistakes and
get better.
How do you speak to your players to inspire
them to be better?
Do you yell at them and make them feel even
more inadequate than they already feel? Do
you go the opposite direction and ignore what
they do wrong because you dont want to hurt
their feelings?
This is a key thing to learn if you are going to
build a huge team at WorldVentures. The first
skill to master is selling the product to acquire
customers. The second skill is to recruit people
to your team to develop a downline. The third
skill is to duplicate your actions so that your team
duplicates your efforts and you begin to leverage
your time. But mastering the skill of creating
leaders separates the varsity from the junior
varsity. It separates the champions from the teams
that try really hard and still fail.
Although Im making you aware of the
importance of learning how to speak
masterfully to your team, the truth is, there is
no article on earth than can teach this properly.
It took me approximately five years of building

teams and attending countless live events to

really get this right.
Part of the answer is, you do not talk to every
player the same way. Does the player youre
talking to respond well to intense, direct input, or
does that totally turn them off? How can you tell?

One key is definitely mastering the Living in

Full Color message, but another, broader point
is to understand that 99 percent of your players
know that they are not performing at their peak
level, and they want to do better. Knowing that,
you have to craft your constructive criticism
in a way that they hear it and accept it.

We have a training product called Living in

Full Color that goes into extreme detail about
what is required if you really want to master
understanding this skill set.

They need to know that you are only saying

what you are saying because you truly want to
make them better! And that you are concerned
about them reaching their true potential!

Legendary NBA coach Phil Jackson has talked

openly about the different ways he coached and
spoke to his key players like Michael Jordan,
Kobe Bryant and Shaquille ONeal. One size does
not fit all when it comes to how we effectively
communicate to our players.

Again, this does not come quickly to most

coaches, but once you learn it, you will be well
on your way to where you want to go!

It may feel good to yell at a player on your

team. You get to blow off steam and it may
make you feel good giving them constructive
criticism, but many times, that will work
against you!
Do you like to be screamed at?
Your team members are volunteers. Many will
quit if you are not nice to them. Its that simple.
Its important to learn how to say what you
need to inspire them without irritating them
and making the business no fun.

Coming to our live training programs like Boot

Camp, A View from the Edge and Journey will be
invaluable in teaching you the keys to being a
master communicator and a great coach!

MASTERING THE ART OF

LIVING
[MARTIN ROUF]

BY WHITNEY ALSWEDE

The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his
work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his
information and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly
knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence at
whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or
playing. To him hes always doing both.
James A. Michener

astering the art of living. For

some it means having the freedom
to take vacations when they
want. For others, its about having the time and
resources to start a company. However, for a
few, mastering the art of living isnt something
that can ever be attainedits a journey, a
destination, and its path is always evolving.
Meet Martin Ruof, whose rejection of the
lifestyle might just make him the perfect choice
for it. After rising through the ranks and having
the means to purchase the luxuries found
on so many dream boards, this International
Marketing Director began to realize having it
all may not really mean having it all.
Whatever people want out of WorldVentures,
they can get, he says. Frankly, I became a
WorldVentures Rep because of the money.

Martin and his

wife Jessica Syfko

I started immersing myself in the training,

and really began achieving success early on. It
kind of all just went up from there. I was taking
DreamTrips and traveling for business and
pleasure; hanging out with the likes of Marc
Accetta, the Twins and Wes Melcher; living in a
beautiful house in the Hollywood Hills; driving
an amazing car; and wearing an expensive
watch. I truly believed money was the means to
happiness and fulfillment.
But about five years in, I hit a wall, he
continues. Id been coming to that point
for a while, but I remember finishing up
presentations and then sitting alone in my
beautiful house at night thinking, What the
heck? How can I feel so unfulfilled when I
have all of this stuff? It hit me: Maybe having
everything isnt the point.

The waiter and actor living in Los Angeles was

living paycheck to paycheck, tip to tip, and didnt
really feel like he was contributing much to the
greater good. On a deeper level, I was so sick
and tired of waiting tables. While I was grateful
for my restaurant job, I wanted more. I knew
I could have more, I just didnt know what it
would look like or when it was going to happen.

Something had shifted for Martin, and it was

enough to make him re-assess everything,
including his work with WorldVentures. In
search of that missing piece, he pulled back
from the business that had given him so much
and made a turn in his journey that led him
to traveling the world and pursuing more
intangible interests, including developing his
photography skills and writing short stories.

Opportunity came calling in the form of Kari

and Lisha Schneider, who introduced Martin to
this brand-new company they were involved
with called WorldVentures. He had a hunch it
could be his escape. Not knowing exactly what
he was getting himself into, he signed on and
knew something big was in store for the startup.

A couple of years later, his journey led him

back to WorldVentures doors and to the
office of CEO and Co-Founder Mike Azcue.
I talked to Mike about where I was and
why, and then he explained his vision for
the company, Martin says. He changed my
mind. I saw his vision and was deeply

11

inspired, and I knew I could

contribute to and find the fulfillment
Id been searching for through the
company he wanted WorldVentures
to be. So, I decided to gradually
re-engage in the business.
This time, though, he was
determined to do things differently.
Instead of working toward trophies,
he began looking within, with peace
and happiness as the destinations.
And since hes returned his focus
to WorldVentures, hes discovered
passion, drive, purposeand the
kind of life hed been looking for
the entire time.
Ive been able to cultivate a
deeper sense of peace, and to really
embrace the purpose of my life,
which, Ive discovered, is to inspire
greatness in others and to help them
realize their potential, he says.
That alone is worth the whole ride.
And when you love what you do,
youre not really working.
Whether its through trainings or
even lending his experience to the
WorldVentures corporate office,
Martin says hes focusing more on the
internal rewards versus the external
ones. And, almost eight years after he
signed on to become a Rep, now, more
than ever, he believes WorldVentures
has the potential to change lives. Case
in point, the latest turn in his journey:
tying the knot with Jessica Syfko,
whom he crossed paths with five
years ago and then re-connected with
two years ago. The couple married in
May, and today, theyre sharing a life
free of alarm clocks in Los Angeles.
My relationship with Jessie is,
without a doubt, the most rewarding
part of my life, he says. Ive always
been a loner, and I used to laugh
when people talked about their
spouse as being their partner, but
now I totally get it and its awesome.
Being able to partner with someone
in the business is so much fun, and
the experience has become so much
more enjoyable and rewarding.
Shes a great sounding board; she
challenges me and she helps me see
my potential. She keeps me honest.
But Martins quest for fulfillment
isnt over, not by a long shot. In fact,
hes quick to point out that by no
means is he the master of the art
of living. Like so many great stories,
the ending is only the beginning.
I dont think the journey toward
mastering the art of living ever
endsit just shifts, he says. I got to
where I wanted to be, I stayed there
for a while, and I felt unfulfilled, so I
started a new journey. Theres always
somewhere else to go; just know the
prizes are along the way.

LIVING THE

CORE VALUES

ED BLUNT, REGIONAL MARKETING DIRECTOR

BY KATRINA LEWIS

very business owner defines success for themselves. Whether its achieving a certain income level
or finally being able to build their dream home, no matter how they choose to define it, one lesson
learned is that success is not a sprint, but a marathon. As a rising star within WorldVentures, Regional
Marketing Director Ed Blunt understands this concept all too well and is definitely in for the long haul.

Sustainability is about building strong, impactful relationships; cultivating greater

trust; constantly learning; and improving ourselves and living in integrity.
I identify the most with Core Value 10: Ensure
sustainability in everything we do, he says. It
speaks to doing things with a long-term mindset.
Ed has been involved with WorldVentures
for four years, since his friend showed him a
video about the company. He began building
his business three and a half years ago, and his
own personal successes prior to WorldVentures
were a major factor in him becoming a Rep.
I knew I could learn how to succeed at
WorldVentures, just as I learned how to do the
other things I created success in, because we have
so many successful leaders to model, he says.
Ever mindful of inspiring others, seeing them
overcome their own circumstances and helping
them outline their own success, Ed says he was
motivated to become a Rep for another reason
as well. I am committed to learning and
mastering the direct-selling industry. I want
to bring consistent value to our company and
build, inspire and develop as many leaders and
as many success stories as I possibly can.
Ed is well on his way to building an impressive
roster of high-achievers on his team; his group
boasts an International Marketing Director
and multiple National Marketing Directors,
Regional Marketing Directors and Marketing
Directors. Though leadership qualities go a long
way in building such a successful team, smart
decision-making is the mark of a good leader. Ed
constantly keeps his eye on the future.
I make decisions with the thought of, How will
this affect my business five years from now?
he says. Sustainability is about building strong,
impactful relationships; cultivating greater trust;
constantly learning; and improving ourselves and
living in integrity.
Though ensuring sustainability is key to his
business life thriving, Ed knows the role that
ensuring sustainability plays in his personal

life as well. I dont separate the two, he says,

speaking on his personal and business life. I
take my business personally and I put my entire
person into my business.
When a new person gets started, I find out their
level of participation commitment, he says. I
need to know what they are looking forthe
product, a little money, a lot of money, or do
they want to become financially free? Then, I
work with them accordingly and plug them in
to our trainings and events. I believe the most
important point of focus is my personal example
and activity first and then working with those
who are showing up, putting forth the effort
and are coachable.
Surrounding himself with others who want to
succeed is a big motivator for Ed on the rare
day when he needs a bit of a boost. And a little
time off is not out of the question either. Im
motivated by the opportunity to get up each
morning, make something of myself, serve
someone else and be a better example, he says.
That is key to sustainability in any endeavor.
But I know how to take a timeout, too. That
may mean taking a nap, eating a great meal,
watching a moviesomething like that. Do
what you must for your sustainability and
come back refreshed.
Ed is working hard to achieve IMD status
before the end of 2013, and as a testament to
his belief in bringing others along with him,
he wants to add 20 IMDs to his team within
three years. And with his strategy of choosing
those who match his commitment level, his
goals are well within reach.
I want to be wiser, better, stronger and
a more inspiring leader, he says. This
business requires vision, patience and
the understanding that people do it at
their pacenot yours. And the runners
will always distinguish themselves
without you having to ask.

Paying it

FORWARD
JANIE & RAYMOND BRAUN, INTERNATIONAL MARKETING DIRECTORS

BY FELICIA FULLER

or Janie and Raymond Braun, living rich is

far more than a proclamation of privilege.
It is a calling to serve othersto give
back at the same level of abundance with which
theyve been blessed.
This philosophy has been part of the couples
personal credo for many years, during highly
successful corporate careers spanning more
than three decades to today as International
Marketing Directors for WorldVentures in San
Antonio, Texas.
A certified public accountant, Raymond is a
former partner with Coopers & Lybrand (today
PricewaterhouseCoopers) and ex-president
and chief financial officer of Play by Play
Toys & Novelties, Inc.both global leaders in

14

their respective industries. Subsequently, he

owned and managed four lucrative enterprises,
all of which remain in operation today. His
wife, Janie, worked for AT&T (formerly
Southwestern Bell Corporation) for more than
31 years, holding many prominent director
positions including overseeing marketing,
training, product development and strategic
planning teams throughout the United States.
Of all their achievements, the Brauns count
WorldVentures among the most rewarding,
professionally and personally. And as their star
has risen, so has the number of people theyve
inspired, empowered and assisted along the way.
Through the vehicle of WorldVentures, we
believe that we have finally found Gods

purpose for our life, Raymond says. We have

been able to establish so many friendships
and helped so many people that we would
have otherwise never been able to. We feel
passionate about sharing the WorldVentures
opportunity. We want everyone to live the
WorldVentures life filled with fun, freedom
and fulfillment.
In testament to their enthusiasm for the
business and their strong sense of social
responsibility, the Brauns were instrumental
in uniting hundreds of WorldVentures
Representatives and San Antonio residents to
participate in fundraising events that helped
bring a DreamCourt to St. Peter-St. Joseph
Childrens Home, popularly known as St. PJs.

Foundation,
DreamCourts
are state-of-the-art
basketball facilities
constructed in lowerincome communities to provide
local children with a safe place to
play. San Antonio is the fourth site of
DreamCourts; others having been established
in Frisco, Texas; Austin, Texas; and Minneapolis,
Minnesota, respectively. The Brauns were
also involved in raising funds, and collecting
clothing and household goods for Haven for
Hope Homeless Transformational Center,
which provides transitional housing, substance
abuse counseling and other support services to
displaced adults in the area.
We would never have been able to accomplish
this by ourselves, Janie says. People need all
kinds of help, including spiritual, emotional,
personal, social, as well as financial. WorldVentures
has allowed us to help people in all of these areas.

Alongside the WorldVentures family, unimaginable

results have been accomplished in the San
Antonio community that will last for many years
to come. We are incredibly proud to be part of an
organization that is helping communities all over
the United States and around the world.

Having analyzed businesses for the bulk of his

career, he was intrigued that WorldVentures
had developed a vacation club concept that
allowed people to enjoy customized group
vacations at exclusive pricing for some of the
most coveted destinations in the world.

OPENING THE DOOR

TO OPPORTUNITY

Saving people money on a product or service

they are already using (or planning to use) is a
perfect business model for success, he explains.
And its almost unheard of in any industry
for a company to be able to compete with the
highest level of quality and service, while at the
same time having the lowest prices.

Raymond was introduced to WorldVentures

by a business partner in the summer of 2008,
during the nadir of the international travel slump
that accompanied the economic recession. With
consumers tightening their collective purse
strings and postponing travel plans, tourisms
contribution to the world economy grew by a mere
1 percent the second half of that year. Economists
reported it was the industrys worst performance
since the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Needless to say, it
was not an opportune time to start in the travel
space. After all, who plans a vacation in the
midst of market collapse? Who can afford it? But
Raymond knew such sentiments underestimated
the scope of the travel industry and its potential to
revive the economy.

Since it wasnt a public company, he continues,

the only way to participate in this phenomenal
opportunity was to become a Representative.
Having never been part of a company that had
gone through true momentum, I was excited
about being at the right place, at the right time,
with the right product, in the right company.
Undaunted by industry statistics and
encouraged by WorldVentures value-added

services, Raymond signed up as a DreamTrips

Member. Five years earlier, he had left the
corporate world to become a small business
owner, motivated by a desire for more time,
flexibility and freedom. What he discovered,
instead, was multi-business ownership placed
far more demands on his time than corporate
employment ever could.
It was as if the businesses owned me; I
still lacked true freedom, he recalls. But
with its focus on family and fun, he adds,
WorldVentures seemed a natural next step.
My biggest limiting factor at first was I had very
little time with four other businesses, he recalls.
I worked it about three hours a week, bringing
one to three people to one event every week. I hit
director before I even told my wife about it.

BUILDING THE PARTNERSHIP

Though Raymond had achieved some

measurable success by the time he revealed his
involvement with WorldVentures to Janie, she
was adamantly opposed to the idea.

17

A fifth business would only further erode their

personal time, she thought. And there had to
be a catch. How can you actually make money
selling vacation club memberships?
Besides, Janie had grown accustomed to
more traditional businesses and, by her own
admission, was very comfortable in my box.
After 30-plus years of marriage, the couple had
found their rhythm a routine, if you will of
rising at 5:30 a.m. daily, going their separate
ways to work, getting home late at night,
grabbing a quick bite to eat, sleeping and doing
it all over again the next day. You could set
your watch by them.
I was comfortable living that way because that
was all I knew, Janie concedes. Coming from
a corporate background, in-the-box thinking
was easier than trying something new. I actually
wanted Raymond to quit WorldVentures.
Lucky for her, she muses, Raymond is much
smarter than I am and he did not quit!
In fact, Raymond was so excited about
WorldVentures that not only did he not quit, he
convinced Janie to devote at least one evening a
week to helping him grow the business.
It took me about eight months before I
reluctantly allowed Raymond to even show
me the WorldVentures business concept,
she remembers. When I finally opened my
mind, listened, and allowed myself to be
uncomfortable, my world changed.
Within a year, Raymond had built the business
large enough to allow Janie to retire 10 years
earlier than they originally planned. Its great
when your vision for the future is exceeded only
by the reality, he says proudly.
As for those other businesses that captured
so much of his time and energytwo of them
are up for sale. And I couldnt be happier,
Raymond beams. Though they are highly
profitable, I look forward to the day they are
sold so I can have more freedom to dedicate
to my true passion, WorldVentures.
And his earlier projections for economic
recovery in the travel industry also came to
fruition. According to the latest figures from the
United Nations World Tourism Organization,
international tourism receipts hit a new record
in 2012.
WorldVentures is revolutionizing the vacation
industry and I envision the day when it will
become the largest vacation company in the
world, he says.

GROWING THE BUSINESS

With the industry on the up-tick, business is

booming for the Brauns, and goal-setting has
been an instrumental part of that expansion.
Initially, we set goals for increasing our ranks, but
eventually we began setting goals based on helping
our team members hit their ranks. This is when the
business really began to accelerate, Janie explains.

18

Following the advice of their mentors, Kari and

Lisha Schneider, the couple has also aptly applied
a popular network marketing principle called
The Cycle of Success, a 4-step process to invite,
expose, game plan and train network marketing
teams. Before the cycle begins, they do the
foundational work of building a list of prospects
people they know and who know them (i.e.,
friends, relatives, acquaintances, colleagues,
service providers, etc.) who comprise their
warm market. After sifting, sorting and vetting
the prospects, they begin the cycle of: 1) inviting
prospects to learn more about the WorldVentures
business opportunity; 2) exposing them to the
opportunity in an engaging, succinct way that
elicits inquiry and interest; 3) game-planning
with each prospect after the presentations to
gauge their level of interest and walking them
through the process thoroughly; and 4) training
new Representatives by educating them about
company products and services, and coaching
them on sales strategies.
When we get someone enrolled, we meet with
them as quickly as we can within the first 48
hours to find out why theyre doing this, what
they want to get out of it, and how much time they
have to spend, Janie says. We train all the new
people to help them get a fast start. This is where
we spend the bulk of our hours, together with
developing our leaders and building community.
The Brauns provide an environment where
Reps can constantly plug into the culture of
WorldVentures. In San Antonio, and other areas
where they have teams, the couple holds live
events and weekly training. They leverage
these events to build community as well,
hosting team get-togethers where they invite
local families to join the fun. Additionally, they
promote the company products consistently,
including getting their teams to take
DreamTrips, patronize DreamTrips Mall and
use concierge services regularly.

keep it fun. Though there have been times when our team
has grown extremely fast, there have been other times when it
seemed not to be growing fast enough. The great thing about
WorldVentures is that its easy to always keep it fun. From a
business perspective, this is where WorldVentures differs from
anything we have ever done before. Whether the business is
growing fast or slow, we never feel like were working. We are
always having fun.

SHARING THE VISION

Much of that joy comes from helping people dream again,

Janie says, adding, Most people, over time, quit dreaming
and become comfortable accepting where they are in life.
Theyre content in their box, and theyve quit believing that
they can have a better life for them and their families.
The Brauns accept their greatest challenge is helping people
see beyond current circumstances to the life they were meant
to liveone replete with opportunity, adventure, quality
time with family, and financial security. But vision is nothing
without action.
People must be willing to step out of their box, which is one of
the most challenging and ultimately rewarding things you can
do, Janie says. I know this firsthand, because I had to do it to
step out of my comfort zone to be willing to get uncomfortable.
The more you do this, the more you grow, and the more fulfilled
you become.
That said, the couple sees WorldVentures as much more than
a means to an end. It is a mission. Over the next five to 10
years, with the business as their platform, the Brauns seek to
build a lasting legacy of building wealth, paying it forward,
and giving wings to the dreams of others.

On average, Raymond dedicates about 15

hours a week to the business while also
running his other enterprises. Janie invests
about 25 hours a week when shes not traveling
for leisure.
During the day I help people build their
business either through presentations, training
or game-planning, she says. Raymond
does some two-on-ones and three-way calls
periodically during the day. In the evenings
and on weekends, we promote the business
through live presentations and travel
parties. We thoroughly enjoy doing the live
presentations together and spending our time
together changing peoples lives.
As in any business, there have been periods of
ebb and flow high and low and it is during
the latter times that Janie recounts the one
demand Raymond made of her when they first
started this journey together.
When I was contemplating leaving the corporate
world to join my husband in WorldVentures,
he made me promise that we would always

19

The Brauns promote the company products

consistently, including getting their teams
to take DreamTrips, patronize DreamTrips Mall
and use concierge services regularly.
20

Most of the highs in our business have been in

helping a large number of people begin to change
their lives in meaningful ways, Raymond says.
This has included helping people walk away
from unfulfilling jobs, become stay-at-home
parents, gain self-esteem and self-confidence, or
simply take their first vacation. We feel blessed
daily to be part of WorldVentures. Even when
growth is slower than we would like, we always
know that if we keep following the system that
the many fantastic WorldVentures leaders have
developed, it can always explode the business to
the next leveland it always has. The incredible
friendships and relationships that have been
formed through this business have been so
rewarding that they outweigh the slow periods
and make them less of a focal point.
From a practical perspective, the Brauns are
teaching prospects and members the significance
of leveraged residual income. Residual income
is income that keeps accruing from work you
do just oncemuch like a royalty earned from
a book or song. In contrast, leveraged income is
derived from the efforts of others. According to
the Network Marketing Business School, most
people earn whats called a linear income, which
means they trade their time for wages with limited
potential due to salary caps, work schedules and
the like. By learning to leverage your time, you
can financially benefit not only from your own
efforts, but from other peoples efforts as well,
the schools website says.
I simply would never have been able to have
the kind of leverage that I do with WorldVentures
in such a short period of time in my traditional
businesses, Raymond says. Merging the
principles of leverage and residual income with a
unique concept in the largest, most fun industry in
the world travel is why WorldVentures is the
best vehicle available to have more fun, financial
freedom, and fulfillment, in my opinion.
The Brauns attend all the company trainings to
continue to learn and develop their skills, especially
those that motivate and inspire others. Through
the WorldVentures trainings, we have learned more
personal development in the past four years than
our entire previous years combined, Janie says.

The Brauns and their team.

21

The Cycle of Success

1. Invite prospects
to learn
more about
WorldVentures.
2. Expose them to
the opportunity
in an engaging,
succinct way.
3. Game plan with
each prospect
after the
presentation.
4. Train new Reps
about products,
services and
sales strategies.

We have become better leaders and teachers

by learning from the incredible talent and tools
provided by WorldVentures, including Marc
Accetta, International Director of Training; our
mentors Kari and Lisha Schneider; the executive
team; all the national and regional trainers; and,
of course, the many CDs and magazines provided
by the company.
Accordingly, the Brauns believe that the
business presentations and training events
are two of the most important tools for
Representatives to build their teams.
Promoting is key to growing your
WorldVentures business because this business is
all about duplication, Janie says. People come
from different backgrounds and experiences and
that is why it is so important for team members
to be exposed to more perspectives. You never
know what is said by whom that will turn a
light switch on and create massive growth for
your team members.
Asked how they stay engaged and inspired after
almost five years in the business, Raymond offers
the following: by staying around the campfire
and being around other highly motivated and
excited people. We dont allow stinkin thinkin and
we simply refuse to spend time around negative
people. We constantly read personal growth and
development books and listen to WorldVentures
CDs. Our car trunk is a CD and magazine library
where we are constantly distributing tools to our
team members.
Raymonds favorite self-development book
is The Richest Man Who Ever Lived: King
Solomons Secrets to Success, Wealth, and
Happiness, by Steven K. Scott. Based on the
book of Proverbs, the best-seller reveals King
Solomons strategies for winning every race,
resolving conflicts and turning enemies into
allies. It also outlines the five qualities essential
to becoming a valued person in your personal
and professional life.
King Solomon, in the book of Proverbs, talks
about using diligence in every aspect of your life,
Raymond says. Diligence is simply doing things
the right way, not the lazy way. Human nature
dictates that to be efficient we must take shortcuts;
whereas, the right way is very seldom the shortcut.
As an example, a trainer could shoot from the hip
or take the time to better prepare so he or she can
maximize the benefit to the audience. Janie and
I have used this advice not only in our personal
and professional life, but also in helping our team
members achieve their goals.

LIVING THE DREAM

As they revisit the question of what it means to be

living rich, the Brauns concede there is a material
component to it all, though it pales in comparison
to the benevolence wealth allows them to share
with others.
Residual income that far exceeds current and
future needs has moved us further along the
continuum of total peace of mind, Raymond
says. Without a doubt, resources allow us to do

22

what we want, when we want, without making

decisions based on time or money. But being
able to simply live a healthier, happier lifestyle
focused on the needs of others before our own
is the biggest blessing.
The Brauns have achieved a level of security
and fulfillment that blurs the lines of work and
leisure, and thats an enviable position. It just
doesnt get any better than lakeside living and
vacationing three months every year, not to
mention earning money while doing it.
WorldVentures is energizing, not energy
draining, unlike our previous jobs in the
corporate world, Janie says. The more time
we spend with our WorldVentures family
and events, the more renewed and excited we
become. WorldVentures is our balance. We
are having more fun and spending more time
together than we ever have. We have made
more lifetime friends in the past four years
than in the previous 32 years combined, and
it has been the most rewarding and fulfilling
experience of our life.
Their advice to others: Set goals and
develop your game plan. Open your mind to
change allow yourself to be uncomfortable.
Be coachable and trainable; commit to
consistency; plug into as much training as
possible; and always, always keep it fun!
Asked what, if anything, he would change
about his WorldVentures experience, Raymond
says in summary: I certainly would have
shared the business opportunity with Janie
sooner and dedicated more than three hours
a week! I also would have plugged into the
training system right away, because it was
the training that accelerated our success.
I wouldnt trade my WorldVentures
experience for anything, though. In all
sincerity, if I had only two gifts to give to
someone, Id say, I give you God and I
give you WorldVentures.

We have become better leaders

and teachers by learning from
the incredible talent and tools
provided by WorldVentures.

for this trip, slated for September 2013. Global

Exchange has visiting rights to Cuba and
performs social projects there. During this
VolunTour, attendees will work with the
Federation of Cuban Women.
Were doing social projects there, Gwyneth says.
Our purpose is to have educational experiences
in Cuban arts and culture, and well do a project
for children alongside the Federation of Cuban
Women. Those on this VolunTour will have a
chance to perform on two service projects.
Gwyneth had an opportunity to travel to Cuba
while helping organize this excursion and has
no doubts VolunTour participants will fall in
love with the country, just as she did.
Its just such an amazing place, she says. Its
fun, beautiful and colonial, and the people are
very engaging.

RETURN TO LIBERIA

For the WorldVentures Foundations return to

Liberia, there are two names in the mix that
Reps will know very well: National Marketing
Director Bethany Webster and former Manifest
Foundation Executive Director Spryte Loriano.
Spryte has now made Liberia her home and
will be leading this tour as a sponsor, Gwyneth
shares. Since she began exploring what was in
her future, she went on a trip with Bethany and
other Reps and decided to make a permanent
move there. Shes very excited to be hosting,
and we are just as excited to be back there.

WorldVentures Foundation Volunteers in Mexico

o matter which corner of the globe

you journey to or what language
you speak, a childs smile needs no
translation. And since its beginnings as the
Manifest Foundation, the WorldVentures
Foundation has been working to bring smiles to
thousands of children around the world, while
simultaneously implementing improvements
to their communities designed to positively
impact future generations.
As they continue to make inroads around the
world, the WorldVentures Foundation is in
the advanced planning stages for several new
VolunTour Service Excursions. Some of the
countries may be unexpected and some are
ones where the Foundation is continuing to
do exemplary work.

A CULTURAL EXCHANGE IN CUBA

For myriad reasons, Cuba may not seem

like the ideal destination for the Foundation
to travel to, but what may make you think
twice about traveling to this country is the
exact reason you should, says WorldVentures
Foundation Executive Director Gwyneth Lloyd.

Bethany Webster has also committed to this

November trip, where the Foundation will
work on a local service project with Liberian
students and Impact Partner Youth Action
International. In Liberia, Youth Action
International focuses on providing training,
employment and sustainable livelihood for
young people. Work will also be done with
the Red Light District Womens Center,
which provides women with group-centered
empowerment workshops, and participants
have time to take in the countrys culture with
a reggae night and beach bonfire.

PLAYGROUND PLAY IN MEXICO

WorldVentures will try to make childs play out

of constructing a playground in San Pancho,
Mexico, using only recycled materials. The
Foundation became involved with Impact
Partner Entre Amigos with a connection
to its founder Nicole Swedlow, a friend of

We chose Cuba because we were thinking

about where would be accessible and unusual
for us to visit, she says. A lot of the work
were doing is trying to show Central America
as accessible to our Reps and members. Its less
expensive than a trip to the Middle East, for
example, and a lot of our Reps speak Spanish.
There is a connection there.
For this first venture into Cuba, the Foundation
is working with the U.S.-based Global
Exchange, an Impact Partner, on the logistics

3
Ways to

Get

Involved

WorldVentures Regional Marketing Director

Dave Baird. Entre Amigos mission is to
increase learning opportunities for children
and families through the implementation of
educational programs, based on principles of
integration and collective community action.
Dave recommended working with Nicole
because she was fabulous, Gwyneth
says. We fell in love with her passion and
professionalism and for what she could help
us do with VolunTourism. Whats unique
about this particular offering is that you can
come in and do something from start to
finish on your VolunTour. In three days, we
will have built a playground out of
recycled materials.
This VolunTour is also of significant importance
because it will serve as the model for a
new direction that Gwyneth would like the
Foundation to move in.

1. Visit
worldventuresfoundation.org.
2. Register for a service or
a VolunTour.
3. Invite your friends, family
and team to join you to mend
communities in need.
26

This is an emerging theme were moving

toward, she says. Every project must do
two things: It must benefit children and it
must use recycled materials. While were
not stopping any of our other work, wed
like to do this on future projects. Its magical
to be able to help children and to help the
environment simultaneously.

INDIAN IMMERSION

Rep interest has been the catalyst for the

WorldVentures Foundation to organize a
VolunTour to India. Along with the service
projects in which attendees will take part, there

will also be a Golden Triangle tour to the Taj

Mahal, Jaipur and Delhi.
Ive heard from lots of Reps who say they
are interested in India and its culture, but that
theres a lot of unknown and uncertainty about
it. So, I thought wed start off very slowly.
The service project in India will be conducted
with a womens community center outside
of Delhi. VolunTour participants will discuss
hygiene education, planning schools for
children, and start the process on how the
Foundation can return and build a recycled
playground. The initial trip to India will be
in January 2014 and will include an in-home
dinner with a friend of the Foundation, a jungle
safari and an elephant ride in Jaipur.
This is cultural immersion, Gwyneth says.
We want to build relationships and align
our future model of benefiting children and
recycling, in this culture where recycling is an
emerging concept.
In the midst of all of these exhilarating
opportunities, long-time Impact Partner,
Hug It Forward, is still building bottle schools
in Guatemala, ensuring children have safe
and sanitary education centers. And though
the Foundation welcomes and would love
everyones participation in Cuba, Liberia,
Mexico and India, VolunTourists service is still
needed in the Guatemalan community as well.
After all, smiles are international symbols and
accepted all over the world.

Making a Difference
Carlos A. Rogers, National Marketing Director
BY PAULA FELPS

arlos A. Rogers was sick and tired

of being broke when a friend
introduced him to the opportunities
offered by WorldVentures.
I wanted abundance so I can have more
options, Carlos says, who lives in Los Angeles,
Calif. At the time, he was working 12 to 14
hours a day in the entertainment industry
and making well below his potential. He
made the commitment to build his business
with WorldVentures in January 2007, and that
decision changed his life forever.
Ive earned a lot with WorldVentures, and Ive
saved most of it, he says. Now, I am able to live
off the investment of the money that Ive already
earned; I dont have to live off the money that Im
earning now.
As a National Marketing Director, Rogers is
enjoying his life in a way that most people
never dobut he believes they should.
There are two ways to become wealthy in
America, he says. One is having people
working with you and the other is having your

money working for you. I have always been

open-minded and optimistic, and that was key
in making a decision to join WorldVentures. I
want to be significant and help others in the
process, and this is a way to do that.
Carlos says he stays motivated by his own
personal dreams and goals, but he also is
inspired by knowing that he can now make a
difference in the lives of others.
I want to help thousands of people have more
fun, freedom and fulfillment in their lives.
And when skeptics question whether a similar
career path is right for them, he has an instant
comeback: What part do you not like? he
asks them. The having fun part, the saving
money part or the making money part?

recruited up and found people who could

do this better than me, and then learned
from them. His success formula for building
business consists of calling 20 people a week,
getting 15 exposures and six customers in
your first weekthen duplicating that over
and over.
To remind him of why hes doing this, Carlos
says he reads his goals and dreams, and that
keeps him motivated. He uses a similar tact to
keep his team motivated, reminding them of
their own dreams and personal ambitions.
I love helping others achieve success and
showing that it is possible for people from
different backgrounds to make their dreams
come true. You have to just plug into the
system, follow the leadership and most
importantly, just dont quit, he advises.
And dont ever give up on your dreams.

While he is proud of the success he is

enjoying and is finding fulfillment through
WorldVentures, he says that if he had to do
it all over again, he would have taken the
opportunity more seriously earlier on.

Carlos Formula for Success

For me, the toughest challenge was not

really having a mentor in the business who
had experience and could work with me, he
recalls. To overcome that obstacle, he says he

1. Call 20 people each week.

2. Expose 15 people.
3. Get six customers that week.
4. Duplicate.

Turning Dreams into Reality

Michael Jex, National Marketing Director
BY MANDI DIETZ

orn and raised in Brooklyn, New York,

National Marketing Director Michael
Jex is bettering the community where
he grew up by introducing new people
to WorldVentures.

After his career in construction ended

due to contract completion, Michael was
introduced to WorldVentures by his friends
Ricarda Abercrombie and, ultimately his
WorldVentures dad, Ed Blunt.

The impact WorldVentures has made in my

life is more than I couldve ever imagined,
Michael says. It has changed my life for
the better in every aspectfinancially,
mentally and spiritually. And the impact
WorldVentures has had on my community
has been incredible also. WorldVentures
is cleaning up the streets of my old
neighborhood, East New York, which is not
the greatest of neighborhoods by any means.
Instead of people wondering where their
next dollar will come from, theyre now
planning where to take their next vacation
and how to achieve their dreams and goals.
Its remarkable the impact a company
can have on a city that needs hope, and
WorldVentures is definitely doing its part.

The construction field was cool and kept the

lights on, but wasnt what I saw myself doing
forever, Michael says. I took one glance at
the WorldVentures comp plan and saw what
an International Marketing Director can make!
I never had a job or opportunity that would
allow me to make that kind of money, so I was
in! It was a no-brainier for me. WorldVentures
is all I do and is all I will ever do.

28

Far south from his Brooklyn roots, Michael now

lives in the Sunshine State of Florida and enjoys
spending time with his 4-year-old daughter
Khloe Gisele and fiance Franchesca German.
Ive never lived in anything other than
a two-bedroom apartment, but thanks to

WorldVentures, Im now living in a fivebedroom home in a beautiful neighborhood,

Michael says. That was a dream
WorldVentures allowed me to turn into a
reality, and my dreams and goals are always
changing, due to WorldVentures continuously
allowing me to achieve them.
Although basking in the beauty of South
Florida and discovering new places are
things Michael does quite often, his vision of
improving the conditions for people living in
East New York is never far from his mind.
And he hopes that todays efforts will help
change the lives of many people living in
his hometown.
What you do today, youll see results 90 days
from today, Michael says, inspired by the
words of International Marketing Director
Troy Brown. And given his track record,
Michael is accustomed to making his
dreams a reality.

There were ups and downs, Tere says. Six

months prior to reaching Regional Marketing
Director, I called my mentor Tom Goris and told
him that I was done. My business was going
backward, and I didnt know how to fix it.
My past failure began creeping into my mind,
telling me that I was going to fail again. This
is a challenge for manyour past talks to our
present about our future. I continued to stand
on Gods promises though and knew that this
is where God wanted me. I knew my past had
passed and with enough time, books and CDs/
tapes, and I was able to overcome the negative
thoughts and continue building.
RMD was my first WorldVentures goal.
We must all overcome obstacles and will get
knocked down. The question is, will we get back
up? Knocked down seven times, stand up eight!
Building his business with Mary, who was
born and raised in Vietnam and escaped the
war with her family of 15 or so, Tere could see
potential in WorldVentures.

Moving Past the Past

Tere & Mary Kampe, Regional Marketing Directors
BY MANDI DIETZ

any would find it hard to believe that

a little over 20 years ago, Regional
Marketing Director Tere Kampe was
off-course and homeless.
I was living in my truck, divorced, had lost
my family and was heading in a very wrong
direction, Tere says. My mom gave me the
book, Think and Grow Rich, and the tape,
Strangest Secret, by Earl Nightingale. And with
that, personal development had begun in my life.
Tere later found a career in chemical sales,
which he carried out happily for about 17 years.
However, when introduced to WorldVentures by
the man who married Tere and his wife, Mary,
he gladly contemplated new possibilities.
WorldVentures found me at a time when I was
absolutely not looking for anything, Tere says.
I worked 15 to 20 hours weekly from home
and exceeded a full-time income. We gave
much of our time to our church, and life was

very comfortable. I looked at WorldVentures

because I trusted my sponsor. And ultimately,
I saw a way to help others.
Familiar with direct-selling because of an
unsuccessful attempt earlier in life, Tere
decided to give WorldVentures a try.
I jumped into a business and gave
everything, Tere says about a venture he
endured before committing solely to chemical
sales. Five years later, I ended up tired, cynical
and defeated. I worked very hard but never
found success. I decided to simply work my job
and make the best life I could with whatever
I could make there. I always looked at that
experience as a failure; however, with time
and experience I saw it as preparation
for WorldVentures.
Although now experiencing success, Tere rode
waves of both good times and bad, even after
joining WorldVentures.

I saw a way to help people make extra

money, Tere says. At church, were always
praying for peoples finances, and this became
a tangible way to help. I had no intention of
leaving my job in the beginning. However, I
saw the opportunity to make a huge difference
in the lives of others.
I fully expect WorldVentures to transform
lives and generations financially, spiritually,
emotionally and relationally. We can help
marriages become stronger, and that makes
families stronger, communities stronger and
ultimately, our country and the world a
better place.
Tere says that his parents struggles also
inspired him to want more.
Having no back door keeps me motivated,
Tere says. Watching my parents work a
network-marketing business for 40 years and
not really achieve success upset me. I wanted
to change that in our family and desperately
want my children to see what it takes to be
successful. It takes work, diligence, consistency
and faith, and goals that are attainable.
I also want badly for my team members to
break the bonds of past failures and grow
through their fears and doubts. As more of us
achieve higher levels of success, we make the
path clearer for those who come later.
Creating a foundation for their three lovely
daughters to build upon, Tere and Mary are
experiencing many incomparable and enjoyable
breakthroughs with WorldVentures.

The Way to Living the Dream

Jonathan Tan & Supansa Khunjan, Marketing Directors
BY MANDI DIETZ

orn and raised in Malaysia, Loon Aik

Tan, known to many as Jonathan, lives
in Singapore where he actively manages
a beauty, wellness and nutrition company.

A close friend told me something big is coming to

Asia and invited me to a WorldVentures business
preview, Jonathan says about being introduced to
WorldVentures in August 2012. Knowing travel is
much larger than the nutrition industry, I decided
to sign up on the spot. Less than a month later, I
shared WorldVentures with eight of my friends,
and they joined too. I was very excited and learned
new business skills with WorldVentures.
The most inspiring thing to me, however, was
Mike Azcues founder speech, he continues,
which he made with every fiber of his being.
WorldVentures is a remarkable company, and wants

to be the most trusted direct-selling brand in the

world! This company is all about trust and integrity!
These days, it can be hard to find someone
to trust. Thats why Im here, and why Ive
reached the rank of Marketing Director!

and it was travel that ultimately caught my

interest. After researching, and experiencing
WorldVentures more in depth, I started to
devote more time, expanding my business and
helping others to achieve their dreams!

Married just three years ago, Jonathan lives a

comfortable life and enjoys traveling with his
wife, Supansa Khunjan. So, understandably, the
thought of seeing the world and vacationing
more with WorldVentures got his attention.

With goals of becoming an International

Marketing Director and a full-time traveler
which for Jonathan translates to Living the
Dream Jonathan says that he knows the view
at the top is beautiful with WorldVentures,
which helps keep him motivated.

Personally, I want my own freedom,

Jonathan says. Which is why Ive never
been an employee before and started my
own business in my early 20s. Before
WorldVentures, my company was making
a good income monthly, but I love to travel,

Every day I learn something new in lifeI am

an avid reader. Recently I read Matt Morris
bookall to keep momentum moving,
Jonathan says. Stay upright in all that you do,
and things will start to be smooth sailing. The
results are everlasting.

Achieve Your Dreams

1. Devote time to your business.

3. Learn something new everyday.

2. Help others achieve their dreams.

4. Stay upright in all that you do.

Jonathan believes WorldVentures is the way-of-life

company, whereby he can see the world, and take
his dream vacation someday to the United States.
I heard that America is a country of true
freedom, true people and a God-centered
nation, Jonathan says. I wish to be there soon.
And with WorldVentures, he most certainly can.

So Far. So Good.
Alan Hicks, Director
BY SCOTT KRAMER

o Alan Hicks, a 26-month veteran of

WorldVentures, living rich means
never having to worry about bills,
the freedom to choose what I want, spending
time with my family, good health, regular
exercise, enough rest, good food and time to
teach others, says the Johannesburg,
South Africa-based Rep.
So far, so good. Hicks, who has a financial
background, originally joined WorldVentures
in search of his dreams. He came across
WorldVentures on social media one day.
Intrigued, he made contact. Once I realized
how big the vacation industry was, I could see
the potential as a networker in the business,
Hicks says.
The finance world wasnt satisfying Hicks, as
it was stifling his ambition. They say youre
either motivated by the stick or the steak, he
says. Most people are motivated by the stick
and have forgotten how to dream. For me, its
the steak, which represents freedom. Its far
sweeter, and I want it more than anything.
Thus far with WorldVentures, Hicks says he has
learned to be more business-like, working with
those who deserve his time while avoiding
the time-wasters, procrastinators and dream

stealers. Ive also learned to lose my ego,

because I realized that nobody was looking for
it, he quips, adding hes heeded some related
advice. Remember where you came from and
be humble. Hicks works the business full
time and has a partner who also has her own
WorldVentures business. Shes a corporate and
commercial transactional lawyer by day, and
conducts her WorldVentures business on a parttime basis.
Setting up appointments with people in
financial services in his previous business
life set a nice foundation for Hicks
WorldVentures journey. The only difference is
now he uses a well-worded script that helps
him successfully secure appointments. At
first, all did not go as planned. Hed arrange
presentations at venues, but neither members
nor guests showed up. But Hicks believed in
himself and the product, and refused to
give up.
The experience made him stronger. I dont
beat myself up, I know we all have our down
days, he says. But I know that if Im doing
the right thing daily, I will win. Rome wasnt
built in a day. My least favorite part of the
business is when Reps dont attend meetings
and trainings.

Already an optimist before this journey, Hicks

success with WorldVentures has sculpted his
perspective on business and life to be even
more positive. People are curious and they
fear the loss of opportunity, so I use this to
entice prospects, he says. I believe in helping
others by offering them a fishing rod, not
the fish.
I have traveled abroad more extensively, met
more new friends, and earned more money
than with any other network that I was part
of. The training provided by WorldVentures
cemented the fact that my life is not a
dress rehearsal.

Take the Next Step

Remember where you came
from and be humble.
Avoid time-wasters,
procrastinators and
dream stealers.
Believe in yourself.
Take advantage of the product.
Never give up.

Walking in Destiny
Evan Middlebrooks, Senior Representative
BY FELICIA FULLER

s a kid, Evan Middlebrooks dreamed

of joining the FBIbeguiled by
Hollywoods glamorized depictions
of fearless agents defending national security
and disbanding organized crime. In pursuit
of that dream, he enrolled in college to study
criminal justice. But after only a couple of
semesters, Evan found himself back at home
facing an uncertain future with poor
job prospects.
Having come from a successful family
with high standards, I had to find a way
out and soon, the 22-year-old says. After
scouring the classifieds and pounding the
pavement, he landed a customer service
position at a hospital in Buffalo, New York.
Though it didnt pay much, it was solid. But
just as things started looking up, Evan was
downsized and ushered right back out
the door.

32

To make ends meet and pay for his keep, he

worked temporary jobs where he labored
long hours for little money. Then, one day, he
got a call that would change the trajectory of
his career. It was Tiera Shaw, a young lady
whom I hadnt heard from in six months,
he recalls.

Evan was sold. I became a Rep in 2012, he

says. That first week, I was horrible! But
within the first two months, I learned the
system and went to every travel party, with or
without a guest. I cut off everything that wasnt
income-producing and focused on everything
that would make this new dream come true.

It turns out Tiera was involved with

WorldVentures, and she wanted to share the
opportunity with her old friend, Evan. After
listening to her spiel, and doing research on his
own, Evan says he was influenced knowing I
could earn a living and have fun, never having
to worry about going without again. The
DreamTrips product offering and traveling the
world at competitively low pricing was a big
draw. Besides, I had already been to 14 islands
and all over the United States, so I knew the
price of travel, which made joining
a no-brainer.

Today, he no longer lives at home, is on the

path to financial freedom and, most notably, he
has peace of mind and a vision for tomorrow.
WorldVentures has allowed me to develop
as an entrepreneur and as a person, he says.
The DreamTrips Membership has allowed
me to see more of the world. The leaders and
team members have become my family. I go
to church regularly and, in doing so, I stay
connected with God and depend on Him
for guidance. I feel like everything I always
wanted is at my fingertips now.

WorldVentures has designed its compensation plan to reward Independent Sales Representatives for: (1) successfully
making personal sales of WorldVentures retail products (DreamTrips, DreamTrips Life and Luxury DreamTrips
memberships); and (2) successfully building sales organizations by recruiting, training and motivating other team
members to do the same. Below is an income breakdown for fiscal year 2011 in the United States.

During the period October 2011 to September 2012, 19.82% of all Independent Representatives (IRs) earned a
commission or override, while 80.18% did not. The average annual commission or override earnings of all IRs, including
those who did not earn a commission or override, was $190.15. The average annual commission or override earnings or
that group of IRs who earned a commission or override was $957.12, and the median was $40.00. The data presented in
the table above is based only on those IRs who earned a commission or override within the time period of October 2011
to September 2012.
Notes:
1. All amounts are represented in U.S. dollars.
2. These figures do not represent Representatives profits, nor do they consider expenses incurred by Representatives in the promotion of their business.
3. Promotion levels represented in the table are based on ranks achieved at the end of the year.
4. An Independent Representative is one whose Independent Representative agreement was accepted by WorldVentures within the 12-month period preceding
the last day of the fiscal year displayed.
5. An active Representative is one:
a. whose Independent Representative Agreement is in good standing and who has made a sale of a WorldVentures product within the 12-month period preceding
the last day of the fiscal year displayed; or
b. who has earned a commission or override with WorldVentures within the 12-month period preceding the last day of the fiscal year displayed.
6. Figures are for the U.S. market after five full years of operation. Figures may not reflect incomes in newly or less-established WorldVentures markets.
There are no guarantees regarding income. The success or failure of each Independent Representative in WorldVentures, like any other business,
depends on the Independent Representatives own skill, dedication, personal effort and leadership qualities.
