British guy?
Im over in Canada on the second year of a working
visa with the intention of working towards permanent
residency and eventually full citizenship.
For the duration of my visa (which is valid until October
2015), there shouldnt be any more restrictions or
paperwork involved in hiring me than there would be
with a Canadian citizen.

Hi. Im Andy, a designer from the UK, with around seven years varied
experience in the industry.
During my career Ive had a chance to work in a variety of different
environments (studio, in-house, print shop) on artwork for a string of
well-known companies, both in Canada and the UK such as B&Q,
Hard Rock Cafe, Translink, Nickelodeon, Danelectro guitars, Garfunkels
restaurant & Homebase. Ive been lucky enough to have my work
appear on SkyTrain stations, printed on the headstocks of guitars, been
cast in lead, and plastered across the back of a Spanish bus.
I specialize in layout and print but Im always looking for the opportunity
to expand my repertoire and learn something new.
Having worked in pre-press as well,hopefully thats given me a bit of
an insight into supplying quality, print-ready artwork that streamlines
that part of the process.While not a web developer by any means, Im
comfortable working with CSS and HTML code and Ive used website
CMS systems and FTPs before extensively.
I really love the problem-solving aspect of design and hope I can offer
something unique in the work and concepts I generate.I enjoy the
challenges of the client-facing side of the job, and the persuasion
andcompromise that go along with selling an idea.In mytime in the
industry, Ive learnt the importance of being able to juggle various
projects simultaneously, whilst making sure the works delivered on time.
My aim now is to put down some rootsin a job that cultivates
myenthusiasm for this kind of work, while having the chance to learn
some new skills, and contribute to a team of other creative people.
