Cost Leadership Strategy - The goal of Cost Leadership Strategy is to offer


products or services at the lowest cost in the industry. The challenge of this strategy is
to earn a suitable profit for the company, rather than operating at a loss and draining
profitability from all market players.

We offer affordable and budget friendly food. Despite the affordable price, the
taste of the food we offer is still remarkable.

Differentiation Strategy - The goal of Differentiation Strategy is to provide a variety of

products, services, or features to consumers that competitors are not yet offering or are
unable to offer. This gives a direct advantage to the company which is able to provide a
unique product or service that none of its competitors is able to offer.

We are the only restaurant that offers wide variety of bagnet dishes. Customers
will be able to taste different dishes with bagnet as the main ingredient. For
example, Kare-kareng bagnet.

Innovation Strategy - The goal of Innovation Strategy is to leapfrog other market players

via the introduction of completely new or notably better products or services. This
strategy is typical of technology start-up companies which often intend to "disrupt" the
existing marketplace, obsoleting the current market entries with a breakthrough product
offering. It is harder for more established companies to pursue this strategy because
their product offering has achieved market acceptance.

Because bagnet is being overrated. We decided to come up with new ways of


cooking bagnet. It is completely new, and no one has ever done it.

Operational Effectiveness Strategy - The goal of Operational Effectiveness as a strategy is

to perform internal business activities better than competitors, making the company
easier or more pleasurable to do business with than other market choices. It improves
the characteristics of the company while lowering the time it takes to get the products on
the market with a great start.

Our restaurant is located at the heart of Ilocos Norte which is Laoag City. It will be
easier for the locals and the tourists to find and visit our restaurant because we
are located at the bayan of the city. Our restaurant has enough space to
accommodate customers. We also have smoking and non-smoking areas where
customers can stay. We also have free wifi in the restaurant.

How will I make use of my competitive advantages to promote my


business?
We will be able to promote our business through establishing brand
loyalty, patenting our product, continually innovate, etc. If we continuously use
and develop the competitive advantages we have, our restaurant will be
known for being competitive and for being the best bagnet restaurant in Ilocos
Norte. We should also develop new strategies like advertising our restaurant
through mass media, social networking sites, bill boards, flyers; and creating
promos and combos which customers can enjoy. Our restaurant should also
adapt to changes that may occur.

LA PRECIOSA
The 1950's proved to be an era where small businesses started to open and thrive in
Laoag City, Ilocos Norte. Such prompted SEVERA ABLAN VENTURA to open
MODERN KITCHENETTE which was then located at Laoag City. The kitchenette
offered Ilocano cuisine and catered to the many Ilocanos who wanted to eat regular
home cooked food prepared with a twist. Severa's knowledge for practical cooking was
passed on to her daughter PRECIOSA ABLAN VENTURA PALMA. As a young wife and
mother, Preciosa was tasked to manage and operate PEPPERMINT KITCHENETTE
which was established in the late 70's.

From a small kitchenette, Peppermint evolved into PEPPERMINT RESTAURANT


which became the first and only fine - dining restaurant in the North. The restaurant
started to offer carefully selected Ilocano, Filipino and Spanish cuisine that appealed to
the discriminating tastes of the Ilocano people. Aside from running and operating a fine dining restaurant, Preciosa also incorporated a catering service which also proved her
knack for entrepreneurship.
Today, what started as a kitchenette has become very successful restaurant and
catering service. The tradition of wise entrepreneurship and practical cooking has again
been passed on Preciosa's daughter PAMELA. Together with her husband
FREDERICK. Pamela has continued the legacy of both Severa and Preciosa by
establishing LA PRECIOSA FINE DINING RESTAURANT and CATERING SERVICES
in honor of her mother. From its small and cozy location, Frederick and Pamela opened

its new location located in Rizal, Street, Laoag City. Continuing Preciosa Palma's good
will, good food and good service, La Preciosa is truly a dining pleasure worth
experiencing.
