Due to the centering web and the relatively large design (long
guides) the Locking Assemblies RfN 7015 center according to
their manufacturing accuracy.
SIMPLIFIED MANUFACTURE
EASY MOUNTING
EASY REMOVAL
Neither shaft nor hub feature grooves. Thus, a high polar section modulus is at the disposal of the designer and the notch effect is minimized according to the system.
EASY ADJUSTABILITY
Hubs can be located at any point on the shaft and are adjustable to precise angles.
EASY CALCULATIONS
This catalogue lists all interesting data in the form of quick-reference tables.

Data for adm. bending moments see page 11 Bold printed types are standard
Explanations
The values for T, Fax, p and p apply to Locking Assemblies installed in an oiled condition.

Shaft: h8 / Hub: H8
Location of several Locking Assemblies RfN 7015.0
2 Locking Assemblies at most can be installed directly one
after the other. In this case the transmission values of the above
table will double.
Change of screw tightening torques
A reduction of the contact pressures and the transmission
values by diminished tightening of the screws is possible. The
admissible lower limit results from the multiplication of the TA
values of the above table by 0,8.
There is an approximately linear connection between TA, T,
Fax, p and p (hub and hollow shaft calculation according to
the equations on page 5)!

Data for adm. bending moments see page 11 Bold printed types are standard
Explanations
The values for T, Fax, p and p apply to Locking Assemblies installed in an oiled condition.
d x D, L, l, L1 =
Basic dimensions, Locking Assemblies not tightened
dG = Clamping/released thread
T
Surface finishes
= Transmissible torque
Shaft: h8 / Hub: H8
Location of several Locking Assemblies RfN 7015.1
2 Locking Assemblies at most can be installed directly one
after the other. In this case the transmission values of the
above table will double.
Change of screw tightening torques
A reduction of the contact pressures and the transmission values by diminished tightening of the screws is possible. The admissible lower limit results from the multiplication of the TA values of the above table by 0,5.
There is an approximately linear connection between TA, T,
Fax, p and p (hub and hollow shaft calculation according to
the equations on page 7)!

Removal
2.1 The front thrust ring is released by having the jack screwspressed against the web of the inner ring (see Fig. 7).
1.1 Unscrew all locking screws far enough so that only few
threads are engaged in the rear thrust ring. For shipping
purposes, these screws have been screwed in quite deep.
2.2 The rear thrust ring is released by having the jack screws inserted in the threaded bore of the inner ring web and thus
pushing it out (Fig. 8).

Fig. 6
Fig. 8
3. Pull or push hub and Locking Assemblies off the shaft. The
jack screws should be removed only after the Locking Assembly has been taken out of the hub.
Dis-assemble and clean dirty, undamaged Locking Assemblies
before re-use.
