1. The following are your responsibilities and not the academic advisers nor the graduate
studies secretarys: account activation, settling clearances, required paper transactions
for returning students, accessing my.lasalle grades.
2. Any inquiries about the above matters should be addressed to the Office of the
University Registrar or to the CLA Vice Deans Office.
3. Hence before advising, make sure you have:
a. activated your account
b. settled clearances
c. accessed successfully your grades at my.lasalle and your current class schedule at
oracle.
4. Please note that students are required to be on residency during the terms when they
are not enrolled in regular courses/special classes. Students must not go on absence
without leave.
5. Returning students who are still pursuing their coursework should go to course advising
on the above dates and times (and not later). If, at the time of advising, you are unable
to access your my.lasalle copy of grades, bring with you an OUR-issued transcript of
records.

1. Academic advising is a prerequisite to online pre-enrollment.
Without advising, you risk being bumped off a class you pre-enroll in.
2. The purpose of academic advising is to assign you course load for next term and
to establish course projections for term after next.
3. What to bring to course advising
a. A hard copy of your
i. my.lasalle copy of grades
ii. oracle current class schedule
iii. transcript of records: for returning students who have no access to
my.lasalle (a photocopy will do)
b. Two copies of the completed advising form (see next page).
i. When deciding which course to enroll, refer to the academic checklist
included in this packet.
ii. The graduate course offerings will be emailed to you as soon as these
are ready.
iii. Before seeing your academic adviser, make sure to fill in your proposed
courses to take.
4. What to do during course advising
a. Line up for course advising.
b. Request from Ms. Rowena Ambubuyog (the graduate studies secretary) your
student folder.
c. Update entries in your student folder, including
i. any changes in contact information and employment information. Alert
Ms. Rowena if you have had a change of email address to be sure your
entry is updated in the distribution list.

NOTE: Written comprehensive examinations are regularly administered
during the first and third terms of the school year. WCEs are never
administered during the second term. There are no special or make-up
exams for WCEs.

Additional tasks to be done by compre-takers at the start of the


term of the WCE
1. Enrollment for residency. You must enroll in residency during the
term that you will be taking the written comprehensive examinations.
Please check the DLSU website for the Registrars instructions and
deadlines.
2. Returnees, LOAs, AWOLs. The following are your responsibilities
and not the departments: account activation, settling clearances,
paper transactions for returning students, accessing my.lasalle grades.
You may have to enroll manually for residency, depending on what the
OUR says. Any inquiries about these matters should be addressed to
the OUR, not to the Department of Psychology. Please inquire
personally from the staff of the Office of the University Registrar, or call
(632) 523-4333 (direct line), (632) 524-4611 (extension 114), or email
registrar@dlsu.edu.ph.
3. Check the DLSU websites UNICALENDAR to know the deadline for
enrollment in written comprehensive examinations.
4. Complete form E-25 (Application for Written COMPRE Exam)
downloadable at http://www.dlsu.edu.ph/offices/registrar/_pdf/E25.pdf.
Read carefully and follow the instructions written at the bottom of form
E-25 (note in particular the required certificate of academic
completion).
5. Papers to be submitted to the Department
a. Grades or certification
For those taking the WCE for the first time: a copy of the
Certification of Academic Completion issued by the OUR.
For those retaking WCE: my.lasalle copy of grades
indicating which exams you have passed and which exams
you have failed.
b. 4 copies of the Form E-25. See academic checklist below for the
exam codes of the different subject areas.
6. To confirm your inclusion in the list of WCE examinees, submit
the following documents to the psychology department secretary
before the compre date:
a. 1 original copy of the completed enrollment form E-25;
b. 2 photocopies of the completed enrollment form E-25; and

7. On the first day of your exam, submit to the proctor 1 photocopy of
the completed enrollment form E-25, which will serve as your exam
permit.
