OBJECTIVES

Is to carry out a volumetric calculation in


preparation for technical and economic
study of a field focusing on the latest
technology, economics, environmental
and political conditions.

The ultimate objective is to prepare a


single report to satisfy the requirements
of the panel of examiners.

RULES AND REGULATIONS


REPORT
ALL REPORTS SHOULD BE SUBMITTED BY THE DEADLINE.
INTERIM REPORTS WILL BE PRESENTED TO SUPERVISORS.
FINAL REPORT WILL BE PRESENTED TO TWO OR MORE INTERNAL EXAMINERS.
REPORT FORMAT
THERE IS NO STANDARD FORMAT, EACH GROUP SHOULD DISCUSS WITH
RESPECTIVE SUPERVISOR AND COME UP WITH THE BEST REPORT.
SEMINARS
ALL STUDENTS SHOULD ATTEND SEMINARS
ANY ABSENTEE WILL BE PENALIZED (5 % OF TOTAL MARK FOR EACH DAY
MISSED)
LOGBOOK
EACH STUDENT MUST PRODUCE A LOGBOOK FOR EACH WEEKS ACTIVITY
AND GET ENDORSEMENT FROM THE SUPERVISOR.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITY


Students
To produce report which clearly defines the objective (s) and the
scope of project work
To plan meeting schedule with their Supervisors
To adhere to the meeting schedule with the Supervisor for the
purpose of updating the progress and seeking advise on project
matters
To be responsible in finding alternative solution for problems
encountered in order to complete the project
To submit report on time

To collect the final draft from students and forward it to the examiners for
evaluation during oral presentation at the end of the semester.

To collect two hard cover copies of final project from each group
To compile and retain all submitted forms for at least one year after
graduation for auditing purposes

Role & Responsibility of FDP Project

To supervise students until the submission of the


final report
To assist student on the accessibility of the tools
needed in the project
To monitor and schedule progress of the students
and their projects.
To guide students on the project and the
preparation of Final Report according to the
approved format.
To assess students performance

PANEL OF EXAMINERS
Examiners people from industry (external
examiners) and the supervisors.
The examiners will function as project
evaluators who are responsible to evaluate
the oral presentations and dissertations.

ORAL PRESENTATION

The presentation is to be made using a


computer driven projector.

Each group will have 40min (30min


presentation and 10min for Q and A).
