Objectives
The objective courses are:
1. To enable students to have a good command of spoken English
2. To enable them to negotiate the meaning during active communication.
Course Description
This course focuses on encouraging students to have good command in spoken English. Students will have correct pronunciation and they will
learn the meaning of short expressions, they will be able to negotiate the meaning during active communication. In other words, they have to
come to terms with what expression should be used, to whom it is spoken and in what situation it should be conveyed. Not only formal and
informal language will be introduced but also information on cultural awareness and cross-cultural understanding.

Evaluation
Students will be required to have correct pronunciation in English. They will then be trained to negotiate the meaning during active
communication based on certain situations. They will be involved in practicing the expressions used dealing with Greetings, Leave Talking, etc.
until they are able to communicate their ideas to have to others.
