The mineral wool is a thermal insulation made by melting calcium-silicate

minerals at high temperature (1600) and has a wide range of available

options for fire safety, sound absorption, thermal insulation, warm
keeping, and cool keeping, and even for agricultural uses. It is also
recommended for those places that require energy saving, as it provides
an excellent energy-saving effect with high fiber flexibility, enhanced
dynamic stability, and low thermal conductivity.
1) Materials
(1)Slag: Left after the separation of steel from the steel production
process. Slag is a mineral used as a cement material or soil improver or
for casting of paved road.
(2) Copper Slag: Left after the smelting of copper
in the copper production process. Copper slag is used in the process of
producing super wool.
(3) Andesite: As a kind of volcanic rock, this mineral matter is found
throughout this country
(4) Silica: This is used to enhance the thermal insulation
of mineral wool and maintain the viscosity of a solution for fibrous
formation.

Properties
Processed in a board form, these products are cost effective and very high in
sound absorption, thermal insulation, and moisture resistance. They are mainly
used for thermal insulation, prevention of dew condensation, and
soundproofing in apartments, ordinary houses, or schools; sound absorption and
thermal insulation in air ducts or machinery rooms; thermal insulation in industrial
facilities; and thermal insulation and fire fighting in ships.

Felt & Board

Blanket

The minimum possible number of binders is used to give softness to the product.
Its high flexibility allows the product to be conveniently set up on a curved or rough
surface. This blanket product is usually used for warm/cool keeping and thermal
insulation on the ceilings of buildings, a variety of tanks, or spiral ducts.

Wire Blanket

This product is good for places requiring high durability. It has one side reinforced
with a hexagonal wire net for convenient installation.

Pipe Cover

Formed into a cylinder shape, this mineral wool product is mainly used for thermal
insulation of air-coordinating systems, sanitary facilities, or water-piping systems.

Loose Wool,
Coatrock SWT

Made into a fibrous state, these mineral wool products are mainly used as a filler
for holes on a fire-protection zone or for an oxygen separator, a sound-absorbing
ceiling material, a thermal insulation for ceiling walls, or in other places where
board installation is not allowable.
Because of its extra-strong fireproofing, this product is mainly used as a core
material of sandwich panels requiring high fire-resistant performance.

1) For warm/cool keeping, prevention of dew condensation, or thermal insulation: buildings, air-coordinating systems,
sanitary facilities, the rooftop, outer walls, cold stores, etc.
2) For warm/cool keeping, heat radiation, or thermal insulation: ships, boiler walls, piping, drying furnace, heat treatment
equipment, etc.
3) For sound absorption, noise blocking, or noise prevention: sound facilities, buildings, machinery rooms, electricity
rooms, offices, sports facilities, plants, partitions, etc.
4) For fire safety, fireproofing, or nonflammability: fireproof structures, fireproof partitions, core materials, etc.
5) For agricultural purpose: places where garden products are cultivated.

* Note
1. The width and length values allow the integral multiples of standards. In this case, the tolerance is based
on [Dimensional Tolerance] Table.
2. If either of width and length exceeds 200mm, the tolerance does neither allow any minus value nor define
any plus value.
3. If the length of the M/W or G/W blanket exceeds 3000mm, then 3000mm n (n = a natural number) will be
applicable.
4. The length values of the M/W or G/W band and blanket can be determined by mutual agreement, but other
than the above value.
5. For the thickness of a M/W or G/W product, an increment of 5mm will be allowable within a defined range,
adding up 72mm, 74mm, or 84mm if required. In case of more than 400mm thick, two or more length values
may be added.
6. For a compression-packaged(3) G/W Board II, the thickness should be set in prior consideration of the
compression rate. However, the thickness tolerance does neither allow any minus value nor define any plus
value. (3): A compressed package means the state of packaging compressed at more than 10% of a nominal
thickness.
