Tanzania Football Federation is a sports organization registered in the United Republic of
Tanzania under the National Sports Council Act OF 1967 as amended in 1971.
TFF is responsible for;
Developing, promoting and regulating the sport association football in all its forms
through the territory of Tanzania Mainland.
Encouraging the sport of association football at the national level in the spirit of fair
play.
Organizing competitions in association football in all its forms at a national level, by
defining precisely, as required, the areas of authority conceded to various leagues of
which it is composed.

Position Title: TPLB Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Tanzania Football Federation is seeking for an energetic, creative professional to serve as full
time Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Tanzania Premier League Board.The CEO
is responsible for the leadership and strategic direction of the Tanzania Premier League
Board (TPL Board) achieving the objects and goals of the TPL Board as directed by the
Management Committee of the Board. He or She reports to the Chairman of the TPL Board
Management Committee.
Duties and responsibility in summary:

Overall responsibility for management and day to day operations for the Premier
League and First Division League in accordance with Governing Regulations established
by the TPL Board.
Overall Coordination of Premier League and First Division League activities.
Work closely with the TPL Board Chairman to enable the TPL Board to fulfill its
governance functions and facilitate the optimum performance by the Board, its
committees and individuals TPL Board Management Committee.

Initiate and develop funding policies, identify funding programmes and plans
for Premier League and First Division League activities, for the approval of the TPL
Board Management Committee.
Work with the TPL Board Management Committee, Standing Committees and
Advisory committees design, secure, implement and monitor viable short and long
term funding programmes, including Premier and First Division League sponsorship
programmes.
Oversee the fiscal activities of the organization including budgeting, reporting and
audit.
Promote TPL Board programs and services in a cost effective manner, while
maintaining and acceptable level of quality.
Identify problems and opportunity related to the operations of the Premier League and
First Division League and address them; report to the TPL Board Management
Committee and its committees appropriately; and facilitates discussions and
deliberations in accordance with the Governing Regulations.
Assure the filing of all legal and regulatory documents and monitor compliance with
relevant laws and regulations.
Provide general oversight of all TPL Board activities, working closely with the Tanzania
Football Federation (TFF), TPBL, Board Management Committee, TPL Board Standing
Committee, Government Authorities, Sponsors, office staff, volunteers and ensure
smoothly functioning, efficient Premier and First Division Leagues as well as,
organizational stability through development and implantation of standards and
controls, systems and procedures and regular evaluation of TPL Board activities.
Organize, prepare, facilitate and actively participate in negotiations of all TPL Board
Business transactions and events including marketing and communication activities.

A Bachelors Degree either in Business Administration, Finance, Law, Economics or


Sports Administration is required with a minimum of 3 years experience in a senior
management position.
Demonstrated successful
track
record
in leading
and managing large
operations/organizations.
Demonstrated financially astute with the ability and strong commercial awareness and
understanding of fundraising and/or income generation and business development.
Successful track record of building and sustain relationships with internal and external
stakeholders.
