SENIOR RESERVOIR GEOPHYSICIST

Qualifications:

Minimum: B.Sc. in Geology, Geophysics or related field

Minimum of 10 years of practical experience in working on field development
studies, asset evaluation and reservoir modeling.

Skills & Experience required:

Knowledge in Seismic Stratigraphic Interpretation in Clastic and/or Carbonate

environment.
Hands on in Reservoir Characterization, Well Proposal, Prospect Maturation, Field
Development Plan (FDP), Full Field Review (FFR) and Area Development Plan
(ADP).
Knowledge in PETREL software.
Added advantage for those with Pore Pressure Prediction (PPP) knowledge.

General Job Descriptions:

1. Geophysical Evaluation
Plan & carry out detail geophysical evaluation, interpretation, mapping, timeto-depth conversion, geo-seismic structural cross-section, seismic attributes
analysis (inclusive of seismic inversion and time-lapse data), and AVO
analysis by integrating and collaborating available geological & geophysical
data, petrophysical & reservoir engineering results and documentation to
understand regional geology, structural style, reservoir architecture &
heterogeneity and hydrocarbon distribution in order to accurately prepare the
field appraisal, development well planning, near-field resource maturation and
subsequently formulate optimum field development plan & full-field review
and produce the documentations.
2. Reservoir Geological Modeling
Design and conduct detail geophysical work by generating depth structure
map, fault sticks and/or polygons, seismic attributes & quantitative
interpretation (QI) results and integrating the petrophysical and reservoir
engineering results in order to be used as input to the reservoir geological
model and work closely with the geo-modeller to determine and understand
the reservoir compartmentalization, distribution, properties, quality and
provide accurate resource assessments and input to reservoir simulation for
optimizing the well placing and maximizing recovery in a timely and cost
effective manner.
3. Asset Evaluation & Acquisition
Provide technically sound geophysical evaluation and proposals for discovered
fields and near fields potential by conducting detailed field and reservoir
evaluation and produce resource assessment for input to economic evaluation
in order to produce a prudent business investment decision to sustain
company asset growth.

4. Field data acquisition and planning

Asses, plan, design and supervise geophysical data acquisition such as
seismic and borehole seismic data acquisition & processing by identifying the
existing geological uncertainties and evaluate the value of information to be
obtained from the additional data in order to mitigate and manage and/or
minimize the geological uncertainties in generating optimum field evaluation,
field development plan and reservoir management plan.
5. Geological and Geophysical Operations
Analyze and recommend the solutions on any issues raised during geophysical
data acquisition and drilling operations by preparing the geophysical
information/data needed and closely monitoring the operations in order to
provide a sound technical proposal for management decisions in a timely and

cost effective manner.
